ICal crashes on iPad each time I go to March 2013

Hello all,
I have a slightly odd issue in that my iCal just switches itself off every time I reach March 2013 as I'm scrolling through the months. It's not such an issue at the moment but as a self employed person it's quite important that I am able to access March from my iPad (when the time comes).
The app works fine on all my other devices (macbook pro and iPhone) but doesn't like my iPad.
I thought I could just uninstall the app and then reinstall it but it's one of the "staple" apps that I can't delete and then reinstall (as far as I'm aware)
I'm not massively technically able but any help would be really useful. Thanks!

I have exactly same problem. Spoke to Apple support who finally advised to do a backup of iPad then wipe everything and restore. Not yet done this but am wondering if it is a problem common to all iPads or just the iPad 1 as mine is? Apple support seemed a little perplexed.

Firefox is a browser: it doesn't require you to 'sign in'.
It sounds to me like you have some kind of malware installed if you're required to 'sign in' every time you use it.
I'd recommend you use Internet Explorer (''assuming that doesn't require you to 'sign in' too'') to go to http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and download the free version. It will quarantine any malware it finds so restart Firefox afterwards to see whether the problem recurs or not.

Since the 6 download on my iPad, in Calendar the month of March 2013 will not come up. Preceding months and following months are OK. Can anyone throw any light upon this?

This bug seems to be fixed in iOS 6.1.

MacBook Air crashes/powers down each time it's turned on.

I replaced OS 10.6.8 on my MacBook Air with Lion 10.7 when Lion became available last week.
Last night I noticed some odd behavior -- extremely slow "genii" minimization of screens, duplications of key strokes, and other anomalies.
Then today, each time I tried to boot up, as soon as the wheel stopped spinning and the desktop became visible:
Several windows automatically displayed -- windows I was working on when I shutdown earlier.
The dialogue box appeared with buttons for | Restart | Sleep | Cancel | Shutdown |
Almost immediately, the power cut off and the screen went dark.
"Reopen windows when logging back in" was checked, so I unchecked it. As a result, the Air now powers down without displaying windows or the dialogue box. It goes black almost as soon as the Apple logo and login wheel disappear. (I'm connected to the Power Adapter, so there's no problem about power.)
I tried several remedies that have worked in the past with OS 10.6+, but they're not working now --
Opening in Safe Mode: the system powered down while I was logging in.
Using Command-R to invoke Disk Utility: The system crashed before I could start Disk Utility.
Resetting my Power Management using the Shift-Control-Option + Power. The air powered down as soon as I turned it on.
Finally, I tried reinstalling Snow Leopard using the Install stick that came with the Air, but the system died before I could initiate a new install. What's going on?
First clue: I tried the fix-errors command, fsck, in single-user mode. It logged into command line fine, bu tbefore I could invoke /sbin/ fsck -fy as usual, a line appeared
: / root# AppleMCP89TMSpowerGatingdown(0)done
and the system died. Did something actually "power-gate down"? What's that mean? (MCP89 is an Nvidia video chip.)
Second clue: When I disconnected the Air's Power Adapter because of a lightning storm outside, the Air rebooted and then died, rebooted and died, etc. (I'm typing these comments on my Pro, of course.) It only stopped when I shut the lid.
Thanks very much for your knowledge, expertise, and suggestions for how to restore my Air or if it's a hardware problem, how bad it might be.

I experienced the same. Then I reinstalled OSX Tiger, put in my Snow Leopard Disc and restored my system from Time Machine. But OS X Lion constantly makes my system crash, so after the last crash (twice a week it did) I reinstalled Snow Leopard and restored what I needed to use from my Time Machine backup manually. (including finding hidden files for my mails, adress book, calendar etc).
I look forward to Apple telling us whether OS X Lion can run on EVERY Mac with an Intel processor from 1.83 Core 2 Duo. I have 2 Gb RAM and everything worked really nice and fine until Lion crashed. And the problem seemed that it has also corrupted my backups in Time Machine when Lion tossed round my files.

ICal crashes when choosing travel time

Whenever I enter an iCal event with a location, iCal identifies the location and the travel time to that location ... but when I click on the travel time to include it in the calendar item, iCal crashes. For awhile I was able to enter everything except travel time, save the calendar item, then re-open and click on the calculated travel time. But lately it crashes even when I save first and then try to add it.

I submitted a bug report to apple on March 2, 2105 about this exact issue and they replied back that its Duplicate of 17894821
So apple is aware of it and hopefully will be doing something about it. I'm using Google Apps for the backend of my calendar.

TS4337 iCal shuts down when I try to look at March 2013

Has anyone noticed that when you try to look at March 2013 in iCal, it crashes and iCal shuts down. I rely on my calendar and am worried about what I am going to do about planning March! Or is it just me?

I Tunes crashes my computer each time I open it

I Tunes crashes my computer due to operation called Determining Gapless Playback. It gets to the same place and then stops everything so I can't use my computer unless I shutdown the computer by holding down the on/off button.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this and are able to help me?????

Hi cannot open adobe file,
If I understand correctly, you can open the file one on computer (running Windows 8), but not on another? If so, what operating system (and version of Reader) are you using on that other computer?
Do you get an error when you try to open PDF files in Reader, or does Reader crash? Does the problem occur with just one PDF file, or with any that you try to open?
For starters, you may just want to reinstall Reader on the computer where you're having trouble.

How do I stop iTunes automatically downloading tunes onto my iPad each time I play them from iCloud?

I am a new iPad user (IOS 7.0.2) but have used iTunes for many years on both an iPod and a PC. My iTunes library is in iCloud and I have also been using AirPlay to play music from my PC through my HiFi system with no problems. Now I have the iPad I can play music directly on it, and also use it to initiate playback through my audio system, as before. The problem is that whenever I use my iPad to do this iTunes (Match?) automatically downloads both purchased and pre-owned music onto the iPad, which I do not want to happen. Is there any way of stopping this happening? Also, like others I am finding the process of removing unwanted music from my iPad a real pain.

Following discussions with Apple Support I now understand that iTunes / Match is not a streaming service in the strict sense in the iOS environment, and that in that music is always downloaded to the device when songs are played from iCloud. Furthermore, I now know also how to delete unwanted music stuff downloaded to my iPad: Settings -> General -> Usage -> Music -> Edit -> 'Red blob' on LHS -> Swipe from RHS -> Delete. Problem solved.

Update on BB LInk crash my Q10 each time

Dear all
Everytime I make an update on my Q10 with BBlink (done automatically by wireless) it crash my phone, but just data on my SD card.
Exemple, I take a picture, immedialty on my computer thanks to BBLink. But when I wanna see it from my phone "data broken" so I cannot see.
Same for Musics and files. I need to restart the phone.
I add just one music, the same.
Very booring...
Any idea ?

I would recommend testing this issue with another media card in your BlackBerry Q10 smartphone to rule out any issue with the media card itself that may be causing this to happen.

CS4 64bitt crashes in Win7 each time when loading

I am no longer able to load CS4 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and get a message the the program is not working and that Windows will provide a solution. I have installed the 11.0.2 patch. I have updated the drivers for the video card that I have but it still does not work.

Yes, it did originally work. I do not know what is meant by a splash screen.
I do not know what is meant by checking the new user account.
It loads and then a small window says "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working" with the added "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." My only option is to click on the button that says "Close program."
After updating the graphic card driver(s) and reinstalling CS4, I have no idea what to try next and Adobe told me that they provide no customer support for this at all.
Thank you for any input towards my next attempt at solving this issue.

ICal Crashes at startup

New to macs. My iCal is crashing only after 5 seconds. I've been using it regularly with no problems for the past 4months.
I've gone through the forums an performed most of what was suggested to do.
- Deleted the Cache
- Deleted iCal files in prefrences
- Moved all calendars off the system
- Deleted & Reinstalled iCal
- Turned off sync
it still crashes...each time. I've turned off sync via the .Mac preferences panel. Whenever i open ical it populates with about 30 empty calendars with no names.
If there is anything i can do next please suggest....I'm out of ideas...please HELP!

I've got a similar problem... I've got no clue, what could have caused it, but I checked the version of iCal: Version 2.0.5 (1069)
I had a calendar (in the left panel) that inserted the number-of-the-week ("Kalenderwochen" in German) and all German public holidays... I thought that this was the source of the problem, so I removed it. But no luck: iCal still crashes after 5 to 15 seconds after opening -- very annoying! (I sent some crash reports to Apple's black hole of crash reports.)
I've got different calendars for different types of events (private, business, my wifes, etc.) and I sync the calendar (and addressbook) with my cell phone (a Sony Ericsson W810i).
I don't want to delete all my calendars to solve this issue. I read a few posts on the internet on problems with iCal crashing but found no working solution for my problem. I'd be happy to provide crash reports if needed or other information that might be usefull to resolve this problem!

Calendar app crashes when going to march 2013

Does anyone else experience the same problem? I can recreate it on at least two iPads (the original iPad1 [iOS 5.1.1] and the latest Retina iPad [iOS 6.0.1])
While browsing the calendar in month view and going from febraury 2013 or april 2013 to march 2013, crashes the calendar app.
I can browse march 2013 fine while in day view, week view or list view, but not in month view.
No problems on the iPhone, just on the iPad.

An obsertation: I have what appears to be an all-day event on April 1, that is a note that it is April Fools Day. However, this note is part of a holidays calendar that I subscribe to on my iPad. The holiday entries are an actual subscription, not individual entries on the calendar.
I have not had any Calendar crashes with this April 1 entry at all. As Skydiver said, it might be a DST problem, but it seemed strange that some folks are having crash problems with all day entries on 4/1 and some are not. Maybe this subscription entry doesn't count as an all day entry?? Dunno.

What does Calendar crash when I try to select March 2013 in 'month' view?

When I tried to select March 2013 in month view of Calendar, it crashes. If I select a date in March 2013 by some other means, I can add an appointment during that month, but every time I return to the Month view, the application crashes (closes).
