ICal dates now showing, but items are

Recently, my iCal icon on my doc stopped showing any date on the white page. When I launch iCal, the calendar comes up with all my events, but no dates, no months, just a blank grid with my events.
I synch my iCal with my iPod. Does this have anything to do with it? It cannot be anything I have done in iCal recently, b/c I have been using another paper calendar this year. And the last time, in January, that I went to it, it was functioning normally.
Could this have to do with a recent security update? Or some other iTunes update?
Any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

1. Quit iCal, and drag the com.apple.iCal.plist file which is located in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder to the Desktop. Then log out/in or restart and check iCal for desired behavior.
2. Quit iCal, and drag the com.apple.dock.plist file which is located in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder to the Desktop. Then log out/in or restart and check the Dock for desired/default behavior.
3. Experiment with changing your settings in System Preferences…International>Formats>Choose Customize...>Dates/Times>Show> and change each entry (Short/Medium/Long/Full) to match your desires/requrements.
4. Check for duplicate fonts with Font Book.

Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.

How can you manage data usage when cellular data is off, but you are using WiFi where your WiFi provider charges for data use?

I spend quite a few months each year in Canada where I use a Telus Cellular Hub device which is also my WiFi Router. My iPhone 5 has Cellular Data set to "Off" which insures I won't be charged via my Verizon Wireless Service Provider for charges while in Canada. Trouble is Telus, Rogers and all the Canadian Internet Providers charge for all Data going through their Systems. Again, My Cellular Data on the iPhone 5 is turned off, but I use WiFi for such things as checking the Weather, or FaceBook, or searching the Web.
I believe that things may be happening in the background from various Apps that use quite a lot of Data. It could be that iCloud is part of the issue with things being backed up automatically. It also could be that Apps like AP or other News Apps are sending large amounts of Data in the photos associated with their New Stories, etc. I typically turn off the App Store "Updates" such that they don't automatically load. The FaceBook works now posted videos play when you are just scrolling through the News Feed.
I have been trying to fine an article somewhere which focuses on this specific problem but unfortunately many if not most articles are about folks worried about using Cellular Data while in a WiFi environment when their Cellular Data is turned on.
Does anyone know of a fairly comprehensive article about what settings on which Apps might reduce the Data Usage when Cellular Data is turned "Off" but you are going through a Service Provider who charges for all Data Accessed even when you are using WiFi?

Thanks for your comments, it is clear you understand my plight. The trouble is fully understanding what Apps and App Features are transferring data in the background any time you happen to turn WiFi to on (even if you have had it off most of the day or night). Obviously things like Location Services can constantly be sending and receiving data from my iPhone without any action on my part. Also if you have things like photo backup on the iCloud then each time you take a photo you are sending a copy out. All App Updates if set to Automatic also can add up to quite a bit of Data. Reading the News on AP or scrolling through FB News Feed is actually adding up to a lot of Data. There could be other culprits that I am not even thinking of. I don't want to turn Apps like Find My Phone off or turn iCloud off due to loosing the value of such a program entirely. Again thanks for your quick response.

Hi Rene,
When I am click on 'Search' , the view area is created but records are not being displayed. I checked in the background and data is being fetched.
Moreover, When I am copying one line item(which is viewed blank after the search being performed but has data) and after saving press 'previous' all the records are being displayed.
Do you have any idea on this? Can you share your ID , I can mail you the screenshot .

ICloud is now working but where are my emails?

Finally working for me but where are the 100 emails I know I got in the two days the service was out? I get at least 50 a day and nothing in my in box except my test message I sent from Google.

I called and spoke to someone in tech support and they were confident that the emails were being stored and would eventually come through, but I have so far gotten most, but not all of my emails from yesterday. New ones do seem to be coming through no problem.

Iphone4 camera froze up because photo album was full came up with error cannot save data. now all but 45 very old photo's are left. are they lost or could they have been moved?

Just bought new PC with windows 8.1 and installed the 64bit tunes as instructed by the new PC. Only a small part of my music library is now showing but can see all the files in the itunes folder on an eternal hard drive linked to my old XP pc.

Problem - changed PC to one with Windows 8.1 ( previous from 2006 with Windos XP). Previously all ITunes stuff on an external harddrive as 80 gigs of music too much for the old PC
When attached Harddrive to new PC was told needed to install the new 64 bit iTunes as 32 bit iTunes not compatable.
Did so but only a very small portion of my music is showning - though rest of Library is still on the external drive in the folder.

Under iTunes Media though I do not have folders for Books,iPod Games, Mobile Applications, Movies, TV Shows so I only have Auto Add to iTunes, Music, Downloads and Podcasts - My question here is is this OK.
Next - Library files that you mention are there but do not end .itdb
Next - in the main iTunes folder followingon from Artwork and Media folders there is some other iTunes database stuff like Library Extras, Library Genius, Library and Music Library(xml) all dated 10/02/12 plus MimiPlayer .dll dated 21/02/14 and Set Up Short Cut dated22/03/14
AND there is also a Programme Files folder with a sub folder holding file folders called CD Configuration,iTunes Resources, iTunes Help Resources, iTunes Mini Player Resources and Mozilla Plugins all dated 24/03/14 ( when I downloaded the new iTunes) and then a lot of application extension stuff from 2011
To recap I unistalled the old 32 bit iTunes and installed the new 11.1.5 (64 bit) version over the weekend SO is any of the old stuff listed above required.
Outcome right now is that as previously I can only call up the Downloaded music not Podcats or CD copies.

I've completed my video slide show but there are vertical lines 6.0.3

I used overlap transition between all still photos. I noticed that the resolution goes down to 117k (can this be increased?) when I bring in the large mb stills. Everything is smooth but the lines. I have created this over and over. Ultimately I want to create an instant play DVD but have trouble with iDVD is forcing me to use a lame title page with stupid music. PLEASE HELP!!

Is the problem occurring in iMovie or iDVD?
If iMovie, give this basic remedy a try. Quit iMovie and delete your iMovie preferences. To do this, go to your username> library> preferences> com.apple.imovie.plist. Delete this file. Then reopen iMovie; it will create a new preference file with all of the default settings.
If iDVD, do the following for troubleshooting purposes. While working on your project in iDVD, create a disk image. Go to File>Save as disk image. This will create a file that can be viewed on your computer's DVD player. You will be able to see just how your project will work when viewed on a regular DVD player. You will be able to catch errors and correct them before burning and possibly wasting a disk. If the disk image plays correctly, then you know that the encoding is being done correctly. This would point to problems with the burn process. If there are problems with the disk image, then the issue is with encoding.

"No data to retreive" depending selection but there are data

It's happening something really weird in a webi we have built.
We have a webi report built on a query bex - olap connection. In the query we have a variable which is 0PLANT, it's a hierarchy variable; in the webi itself we have specified the rest of variables, amongst then Document Date (0DOC_DATE).
If we run the report choosing different values just in 0PLANT and 0DOC_DATE variables, webi shows data... sometimes!
Case 1)
0PLANT = the top hierarchy node
0DOC_DATE = 01.10.2013 - 31.12.2013
Data -> ok
Case 2)
0PLANT = the top hierarchy node
0DOC_DATE = 01.01.2013 - 31.12.2013
No data to retrieve, which is a nonsense because at least there are date for the last 3 months
Case 3)
0PLANT = a minor hierarchy node
0DOC_DATE = 01.01.2013 - 31.12.2013
Data -> ok
As you see, sometimes reports shows a message saying "No data to retreive" but there are data.
We are thinking when we make a huge selection, as webi would show a huge amount of rows, instead of giving a "time-out" or another error, is saying that "no data to retreive".
What do you think?

After having done lots of executions and tests, we think we have found the possible explanation. It turns out that this report has a lot of dimensions (around 30) as "free dimensions", I mean, not shown directly in the report, but possible to include them once run.
It seems that when a webi is executed, BO looks for all data, independently it's or not in the default view. We have removed all dimensions, remaining just those which are really needed, and webi worked!
It looks like it was a kind of time-out error.

I am debugging into one Sales order report.I need little bit help.The report is displaying Invoice Date for
Sales order Billing documents for Higher item in Bill of Material Structures.But as per user requirement,
I am supposed to show the Invoice date for lower level items also.The field for Higher level item is 'UEPOS'.
I want to copy the Invoice date for Higher level item to lower level item. Can you please guide me in the logic?

Items are not purchasable in store

Hi there - am trying to buy tv shows using my itunes account from the store. I am logged in and can access some shows - but others are "greyed" out - ie the purchase buttons are not live. This is really weird - and appears to only be the shows that are marked "caution". I have never had a problem buying anything before - can someone help me please?

Do you have your QP: Item Validation Organization profile option set correctly for Oracle Pricing Manager?
Do you have pricing security enabled (QP: Security Control = ON) and if so have you checked the values against these profile options:
QP: Security Default Maintain Privilege
QP: Security Default ViewOnly Privilege
... and made any grants required via Oracle Pricing Administrator?

It worked for some time, less than a week, I made phone calls and all, and all of a sudden the problem mentioned above happened. Now I can't make any phone calls. I can go online with it, even with my Data plan, I can go to the app store (of course) but can't make any phone calls.
Please help, this is frustrating.

Did you already try the troubleshooting mentioned here? http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/calls/
Also try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple lo comes up again. You will not lose any data doing this.

Go back to iTunes, select the Music tab, uncheck the 'sync music; button, then hit apply.
