Ical error 403

Hello all.  I am running an imac with 10.9.1.  I started having problems with my email account not sending--just lagging in the drafts pile.  I did some things, like resetting the pram and finally got it to work.  A little later I noticed that ical was also having problems...an error message 403.  I checked the community pages and folks suggested turning ical off and then on in preferences....restarting, etc.  ical crashed a few times.  The error message is gone but it is "moving calendars to server account"  endlessly and we are back to--you can't lick ok and trying again gives you the same thing over again.  So what's going on?
Thanks for your help!

Ok, I think I solved my own problem.  I deleted ical from icloud.  I suspected this was one of those library cache problems....did a little research...did this:  Then did a restart and all was good again.
~/Library/Calendars/Calendar Cache
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iCal (if these files exist)
Quit iCal/Calendar.
Make backup copies of these files before deleting them.
Delete the Events directory found here:
~/Library/Calendars/*.calendar/Events
Delete the application's preference files here:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.helper.plist

  • ICal error 403 about access to event in calendar in iCloud not permitted

When I downloaded our school calendar to ical I now receive error messages.. Go offline or revert to server. I choose go offline it does but when I open iCal the same messages appear.  If I choose revert to server I get the error again with another event.
The server responded:"403" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation

Did you get an answer? This has been happening to me lately and it is impossibly annoying. My calendar is not saving changes and syncing to my iPhone anymore. Help!

  • ICal error 403 and 500 delegation error access not permitted

    Hi,
I have a problem with an iCal service on the clients.
Every time the users open iCal, they get an error: “HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error” to operation CalDAVRefreshDelegateListQueueableOperation.
Every time the users create an event in iCal, they get an error: “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
The iCal Server settings on the client are through port 8443 SSL.
There are no DNS errors when I do sudo changeip -checkhostname.
    Clients have 10.6.4, server 10.6.4.
In noticed that in WM there is no checkbox calendaring.
The iCal calendaring error log is below.
The XServe doesn't has the DNS service.
    Somebody has some suggestions ?
    Thanks
    Mathieu

I'm also getting an error when i visit my calander through Safari: "You don't have permission to view this calendar."
I changed the SSL certificate and checked in server pref and server admin the SSL settings (web, open directory, ical).
Problem is still the same but now I'm sure that's an authentication problem.

  • All free/busy requests get error 403 in iCal with MobileMe

I'm playing for the first time with looking with my availability in iCal / Lion / MobileMe CalDAV accounts.
Everything else is working well with my calendars and Mobile Me.
I can add events, remove them, edit them, the sync is working well between the web interface and iCal on my Mac (10.7)
The only thing amiss is the availability window just logs an error to the console after a short time out.
It's error 403 which seems to be a permission denied error.
Do I need to grant permission for MobileMe to publish my free/busy status anywhere?
It it locked down until I allow sharing?
Is it tied to sharing a calendar some how?
Just sending a call out to others in case I'm missing something obvious. There are instances of this error on the boards with iCal and 10.6.6. so I presume it's more a server setup / service interruption than something I can change.
Thanks for any input - even if it's a "it works for me right now" or "I too can't get mobile me status in iCal"
(p.s. Mobile Me support says they can't help - talk with iCal people.)
(p.s. After two hours on the phone with iCal - it's back to the MobileMe people to try again. I figured I'd give a shout here before I try them again...)

I have a similar issue. My girlfriend is using a yahoo address and for the life of me I cannot send her an iCal invite from my me.com or mac.com address. It never shows up in her email, not in inbox, not in junk, not deleted. I get an exclamation point on her name in the iCal invite. I can send her invites from Gmail. I created a test account on yahoo and I can send invites to that test account.
Of course I can email her just fine. I can open the invite in iCal, select the down arrow on her name and select "send email" that works just fine. I try to "invite again" and nothing... this is maddening
I've deleted iCal cache, deleted her contact, tried just using her smtp yahoo address, i don't have this issue with anyone else that I know of...

The following works for me.....try this...
    1. Open iSync - you should see your Razr in the devices
    2. Click on the Razr device - this should open a preference sheet for the Razr
    3. Check the "Calendar" check box
    4. Select the Calendar's you want synced
    5. Click on the "More Options" button
    6. Adjust the "Don't synchronize events prior to:" setting to your liking
    7. Adjust the "Don't synchronize events after:" setting to your liking - Note- this is what you are asking about - 1 month is the default I believe
    8. Click on the "OK" button

  • After I replaced my iphone 5s, I restarted icloud on my mac. Now ical doesn't work I get error 403

I got a new iphone.  Changed from an iphone 5 to iphone 5s.  I had trouble with the sync, and in the midst of it I signed out of icloud on my mac.  It told me it would delete everything from my mac.  I signed out anyway.  Now that I've signed back on, I cannot use my ical app.  I get an error "403" to operation CalDAVMigrateToServeQueueableOperation and the ical locks up and I have to force quit.  I have tried to turn calendar off in settings, but it does not help.  I can't find any help on the support pages on this.  Seems people have problems like this, but there is no fix. The calendar on my new iphone is working, although, it's been over a week and it has still not fully restored my whole backup of the phone (32gig).  Could that be part of the problem?  I have been using my icloud calendar on my mac in the mean time, but I would like ical to work.

If you are having an issue with
As someone who uses my iPhone almost constantly I can certainly understand how you would be upset to have it not be able to even turn on. Let's see if we can get you back up and running.

  • Error 403 when accessing iCalendar

When accessing iCalendar I receive the message error 403 on CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

In September iCloud stopped the service for iCal on Macs, not for all but for a number of iCloud users.
You are one of these iCloud users. A fresh Yosemite shows the same error message, for one months now.

  • Error 403 in icloud

who to be fixed error 403 in icloud

I'm a bit new to iCloud and shared calendars, but here is a solution that seemed ot work. Oddly it worked by NOT doing something that seemed like it should be done...
I set up a series of shared calendars for our office of 4 and I gave all 4 of us read and write ability for these calendars. I was frustrated because I was creating group events, inviting the group in the "Add invitees" area, which seemed logical, and would then get the pesky Error 403. Yet dispite the error the test events were still propigating through iCloud and into the other iCals as I had wanted. Most of my team is not very computer literate, so simply ignoring the errors were not going to work. I needed to get rid of them.
However, through much wasted time and over 14 test events, through three computers, I learned if I DID NOT invite the memebers of the shared calendar in the "Add Invitees" area (via their e-mail address) I DID NOT get Error 403 any more. Yeah! And the calendar events I wanted them to have DID show up on their calendars as I hoped. All changes were pushed through icloud, down into each of our local iCals.
So in short the solution seems to be, share your iCloud calendar with others on your team, but DO NOT invite them to an event as an attendee (beacuse they will see it as a shared person anyhow).  if they are on the shared list AND secondarily invited, then you get Error 403.  if they are on the shared list and NOT invited via e-mail, the duplication that causes Error 403 seems to go away. They get the event, but not the error.
I'm curious if anyone else can duplicate this solution? or if I have just deceived myself some how...

  • Error "CoreDAVHTTPStatusErrorDomain error 403"

    Hello,
If I like to synchronize my contacts with the iCloud I just get an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle. If I click the triangle I get the message
Der Vorgang konnte nicht abgeschlossen werden. (CoreDAVHTTPStatusErrorDomain-Fehler 403.)
[translated like - "operation not completed (CoreDAVHTTPStatusErrorDomain-error 403.)]
I can use the other services of ICloud - like calendar, Photostream without problems.
I can also use all services from iPhone and iPad.
Is their anybody who can help me?
    Thanks

I think I finally found the solution.
Quit Calendar (10.8) or iCal (pre 10.8)
    Backup ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook
Quit Contacts (10.8) or Address Book (pre 10.8)
Go to the "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" Preference Pane
Under iCloud, deactivate Address Book syncing, making sure to select the option to delete contacts on your Mac
    Delete the ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook folder
Go to the "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" Preference Pane
Under iCloud, activate Contact/Address Book syncing and merge (note that there's nothing to merge)
Launch Contacts (10.8) or Address Book (pre 10.8) and watch your contacts synchronize
Launch Calendar (10.8) or iCal (pre 10.8)
After trying everything else I've read in these discussion forums, this procedure finally did the trick! I can now delete events again, add attendees to events, and perform other functions I couldn't previously.

HHelp can't sync Calendar.  It hangs with error -"403" to operation CalDAVMigrateToServerQueueableOperation

    Hello, workhorse.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try removing the preference to sync calendar events in iCloud preferences.  Once this is done enable the preference again and see if this resolves the issue.
Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on:
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud.
Deselect the checkbox next to Calendars.
Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences and select iCloud.
Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences.
Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue is resolved.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
If the issue persists, try all remaining steps in the article below.

  • Website on Mac Mini Server not accessible. Error 403 index document not available.

    Dear all,
I'm trying to host a website on my Mac Mini Server. As far as I can see, my DNS is working correctly. Also my firewall is setup correctly. (I'm hosting another website which works OK). But I setup a new site. Basically a copy of the working site. But this site doesn't reflect an index.htm page. I receive an Error 403 with further information that there is no index document or that the site is secured. There is a contact link on this page directing to my webmaster. So I conclude that something is working, but no index.htm page. Has anyone similar experience? And offcourse a solution?
    Many thanks.

Launch Terminal.app and issue the commands:
    cd /Library/Webserver/Documents/
    ls -al
And see if the files are readable by the web server.   Here's an example index file listing that's owned by root and with group access for admin folks, and this file is marked as readable and writable for the owner and the group, and is readable for everybody else:
    -rw-rw-r--    1 root  admin   5094 Jul 25  2009 index.html
In this configuration, the web server would be using the other access; the web server can read this file, but not write to it.  Here is how to duplicate these ownership and access settings on your own index.html file, assuming that you have that file present in the ls listing above, and assuming that you have issued the cd (change default directory) command shown above:
    sudo chown root:admin index.html
    sudo chmod ug=rw,o=r index.html
You will need to enter your administrative password for the sudo command.
I would very strongly suggest that you start learning some basics of bash and of Apache, because you're going to be needing those skills very soon.

    Hi,
I`d like to get your advice on Server Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. I use to visit a webpage with no issues so far but now i getting this error each time i`m trying to get into. Any ideas in how to solve it? A step to step process will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
PS, I`m using the latest safari 8.0.3 and OS X 10.10.2.

It's an error message from the web server, not from Safari. There's a slight chance that you might be able to clear it as follows.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
    and confirm. Test.
