ICal error message: reenter password. . .

I continue to experience an aggrivating message from iCal. "The password may have been entered incorrectly. Reenter the password for account “Yahoo!” on the CalDAV server “caldav.calendar.yahoo.com.” At the top of the iCal message window: "iCal can't log in on yoiur "Yahoo" account because your password may be incorrect."  The account info is correct and the password as well.  Ready to shoot iCal.
Thanks for any help in advance.

I had this same problem and enabling 2-step authentication in my Google accounts, then deleting the account in Apple Preferences -> Mail,Contacts,Calendar and creating a new one with the 2-step password worked :

  • Just started MobileMe.  Struggled with the setup of iCal but eventually got everything working fine for about a day.  Then I started receiving an iCal error message stating that the URL was wrong.  Of course, sync no longer works.  What is correct URL?

Just signed up for MobileMe.  Had a little difficulty setting up iCal but eventually got everything working.  Whether posting to iCal on my Mac Book or iPhone, sync seemed to be working fine for about a day.  Then suddenly when I opened iCal on my Mac Book, I would receive the following iCal error message:
"The calendar https://cal.me.com/calendar/calendar/principals/users/1.1117025442/ was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct."  I know where it is located but because I did not enter the URL when I set up MobileMe/iCal, I don't know what the correct URL should be.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

    Dear Rajeev,
DDIC pwd for 001 is not same as 001,Will that be a problem ? But the Extraction requests for DDIC 000 client password. Are you sure UME comes into this scenario ?
@ Raghu - I have checked the link and it speaks about the resetting the EHPI. I dont want to reset and want to solve ddic password error.
    Sorry if am wrong
    @ Gerard,
Yes the hostname is SAPRBSBD-01.I am able telnet the IP 3300 and it works fine. FQDN SAPRBSBD-01.chen.local. The smicm service entries are with SAPRBSBD-01 but not with FQDN. Changing it to FQDN will help us to resolve  the issue. Please suggest me.
Also the error  refers to some RFC connection, any idea on that.
Thanks to all and looking for your valuable suggestions.

  • ICal error message, Server.

Every time I open iCal (version 4,0,4) I get this error message:
“The server responded with an error.  The server did not recognise your user name or password for account “[email protected]”  Make sure you enter them correctly.”
Where do I enter that information?  Does anyone know?  Thank you.

I think I fixed my problem.  In iCal, click iCal, Preferences, Accounts and retype your password.  That seems to have done the trick for me as far as I can tell.

  • ICal Error Message 403 (iCloud)

    Hi Apple Users!
After giving my girlfriend access to my calenders via iCloud I get the Error Message 403. (I also got now acces to her calender.)
"The Access to the account "iCloud" is not allowed
    Answer of the servers:
    "403"
    to process CalDAVSetPropertyQueueableOperation"
(I translated it into english, the original message is shown in german)
"Der Zugriff auf Account „iCloud“ ist nicht gestattet.
    Antwort des Servers:
    „403“
    an Vorgang CalDAVSetPropertyQueueableOperation"
On both iPhones 4S (iOS 5.0) the calender are shown and updated correclty. Only in iCal I get the error message.
    Can someone help me please?
    In advance I thank you.
    Yours sincerely,
    Marc

Sorry reading your error in more detail I get the feeling our errors are not exactly the same.
I do not have access to my colleagues iCloud account.
This started when I tried to import two recent meeting invitations I recieved by e-mail to my iCal.
The error message was identical to yours:
    The server responded:
    “403”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
The result being I was unable to import the meeting.
If I create a new invitation in iCal directly I have no problem.  And up until today I have not had any problems importing invitations from this person or anyone else using Microsoft Outlook.

  • Reoccurring iCal Error message

I keep getting this error message, "the server responded with an error, they are calendar events and they say "access to "go to webinar- event name in Jim Lawson's calendar in account iCloud is not permitted. The server responded: "403" to operation Cal DAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.  and then I have a button choice of ignore, try again, or revert to server. But no matter what I press this just keeps coming back again and again. Any thoughts on how to stop this would be greatly appreciated.

  • ICal error message "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" but still syncing via mobileme.

here is the screenshot ......http://gallery.me.com/joyseeker/100217/Screen-20shot-202010-07-15-20at-2011-59-4 5/web.jpg?ver=12791918490001
My problem must have started last week when I did a restore on the iPhone to see if its speed would improve. I noticed this week events added to the iPhone calendar were not updating the Mac and vica versa via Mobileme.
I realised then I had to switch on Mobileme syncing on the iPhone. Bingo syncing works again but now I get this popup error message regularly.
What am I not doing or enabling kind sirs?

I get the same error, when I am importing a calendar into MobileMe (via CalDAV) with items that have alarms more than 7 days out. The calendar I am trying to import is 37 MB in size and goes back to 1999 (it started life on a Palm III).
My solution, which is very time consuming, when this error occurs is to
    1. change the alarm lead time to less than seven days,
    2. re-export the calendar to an ICS file,
    3. disconnect iCal from MobileMe (Preferences->Accounts->"-"),
    4. delete the old destination calendar on www.me.com,
    5. create a new, empty calendar on www.me.com,
    6. reconnect to the MobileMe calendar in iCal (Preferences->Accounts->"+"), and
    7. import the ICS file into the empty MobileMe calendar.
It's a real pain! I really do wish, Apple would fix the issue very soon. During a chat with a MobileMe support agent I was informed that Apple was working on the CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation, although she didn't offer any details and didn't appear to be aware of a connection with the length of alarm lead times.

  • ICal Error Message Using google apps

I keep getting an error message from iCal stating:
I went to support for google apps and he had me check the set up, decided it should be set up again for Mountain Lion (I upgraded about 4 weeks ago). About an hour after all of this was done I got the same basic error message, just the numbers in the address it says it doesn't support changed. Anybody else experience this?

Sorry, the error message may not be showing. Basically, it is not recognizing me as a user.

    rebooted iPad

Any other fixes to try?  Problem just suddenly happened this afternoon.  Been working just fine, even after downloading iOS 8.1 over 24 hours ago.  Problem has only existed for about 6 hours.  Had exact problem with iPhone 6, 64GB, iOS 8.1 at the same time but unlocking gmail account via Safari resolved the problem on the iPhone 6.  All other apps on both devices working perfectly.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Error message wants password that is already there

Whenever I check my mail, I immediately get an error message that says I need to enter my password to get my email, then it directs me to go the Settings. My password is already there, and generally, my mail comes through. The error message continually pops up though. This never occurred with my 8gb Touch, but keeps occurring with my new 32 gb Touch. It there a way to stop this message from coming through?

It appears that this issue has resolved itself. I'm not sure what or why it was happening, but all is better now.
