ICal events different on iPhone and iPad
why are the events on my single MobileMe account different or missing from my iphone4, to my wife's iPhone 3GS, and to the iPad2? I would think according to the sync from MobileMe that it should be standard across the board.

When all the devices and the data on them are behaving, they should all match. Since you indicate the information is not the same, that would suggest there is a break in the chain of communication.
Before doing any troubleshooting, backup your data:
Backup your iPhone/iPad: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Backup your calendars on MobileMe.
Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4226
Go to "backing up data" and then "Backing up from me.com/calendar"
If you login to www.me.com/calendar and view your calendars on the MM website, is it correct and the most up to date?
If so:
1.) Ensure all your iOS devices are completely up to date with their software by plugging them into your computer and hitting update in iTunes.
2.) Turn all the devices off and then back on.
3.) If data is not consistent at this point it would be cleanest to disconnect all the devices from MobileMe and then re-connect them.
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, > Your MobileMe account > "Delete Account"
4.) Once the account has been deleted from all the devices and you've deleted the data off the devices, re-add your MobileMe account to each device one at a time. This will prompt each device to download a fresh copy of your data from MobileMe and re-establish their connection.

This response is a little late as I just read about your problem. I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.

Can I use the same Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime services simultaneously on two different devices - iPhone and iPad? It seems those are competing to each other, and the services work on one of them only (iPhone).

Will now have to find out why imessage stopped working on iPad when it started on iPhone (new). After exploring the forum I understand that there may be plenty of reasons why imessage does not work, even though it worked previously on the same device with the same ID.

Ical sync issue between Iphone and Ipad
I seem to be having issues syncing events between my Iphone to my Ipad. icloud is enabled on both and it appears that all the calendars are enabled for syncing. Any help with this would be appreciated.
I'm having this issue as well. I have tried the add new account as was mentioned in other posts (going through the Advanced settings and changing the server location), but it appears that I would be duplicating accounts, and "that is not supported". I also am having issues with alerts not going to me, but to my husband (who has a google.com email). When I check the Address Book to see what the main contact card is, it shows my information, yet I am not receiving alerts and my email is not an option to select. When I changed my Apple Id, he received the confirmation email (as did I). What do I need to do to: 1) get alerts to come to me and not my husband and 2) sync my iCal with macbook, iPhone, and iPad? I brought a new ipad mini with retina. The color saturation is too low to me, especially the purple. My wife started to complain because the color is really different from inphone and ipad. Can user adjust that?
Other than a couple of minor adjustments, such as the one that Diavonex suggested above, there is nothing that a user can do in settings to adjust color. There is no way to calibrate the color like you can do with a computer monitor.

i need my secritart to place events on my calendar through an application without having to go through my works calendar ,,
for example if there is an event sceduled for tomorrow i want them to just log into the app assign the event date and time on the calendar and it will automatically be synced on my iphone's / ipad's calendar and alurt me without me having to accept the event
is there such an app?Note, I'm on the latest iOS - not 6.1.1 as the original post suggests.

Can't see birthday calendar on iCal but shows on iPhone and iPad
I cannot see the B-day calendar on iCal. It is set ON within iCal calendars, the Bdays are set in Address. I can see the Bdays on both iPad and iPhone, any clues?
Also I cannot "clear" to do's on iCal if they were set on the iPhone or iPad.

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings. -
Just noticed - Apple ID's different on iPhone and iPad
Hi everyone, I downloaded an app on my iPhone and noticed it wasn't available for download on my iPad. When I checked, both devices were running different Apple ID's. I want to share my apps across all my Apple devices, how can I rectify this - ideally I would like to merge both ID's into one but I have read this isn't possible?
Thanks for readingI don't think there is any way to merge them and all apps are tied to the ID with which they were purchased. I think you should choose one ID (probably the one with the most attached apps) and always use it in the future. You may have to repurchase some apps for the other device.

Why do I get repeated events on my iPhone and iPad when I use iCloud
I decided quite a while ago to try the icloud when I bought my iPhone. On my Mac I synched it to iCloud for both my iPad and iPhone, but in my calendar, I ended up with multiple/repeated events on each device. So I swithched to synching only to my Mac and turned off the iCloud on both devices thinking I'd done somehting wrong. After clearing all the repeated events (oh how horribly time consuming and arduous), I thought I'd give it another chance...same problem.
Advice please.

Music library sorts differently on iPhone and iPad
Odd issue... My music library sorts differently on my iPad and iPhone music app despite having identical setting (ie. sort by album artist toggled off)
Album View... On my iPhone, the first album is A-Sides by Soundgarden. On the iPad, the first album is Hunting High and Low by A-Ha. iPhone sorts by album, iPad by artist in this view.
Artist View.... Both devices list A-Ha first, as well as a compilation album they appear on. The iPhone displays Take on Me by A-Ha as the only track on this album. The iPad shows Take on Me first, but then displays the 19 other tracks on this album, all by other artists.

To replicate, you need an "oldish" device (iPhone 4 & 4S, iPad 2 & Mini), and an iTunes match subscription with quite a few songs.
Start from a clean slate:
- Switch off iTunes match (settings / apps store or music)
- Kill all apps
- Reboot
- Reset (home +power until apple appears)
Check available space on settings / general / about
Then:
- Activate iTunes match
- Play some non locally stored music
- Wait
Yesterday, it took 1h for my iPad mini with 5.3GB available to show the "storage almost full" message and 0 bytes available
Note that I have tried with a full reset and it does not change anything.
To solve the problem:
- Switch off iTunes match
- Reset
The memory is now back (but I cannot use iTunes match) -
TS4002 iCloud for email is not on my Mac. How can I get email and iCal to sync with iphone and ipad.
iCloud for email is not on my Mac. It should be under Internet and wireless in System Preferences but it is not. Basically I am trying to get iCloud running successfully on my Mac for email and Calendar so that it will sync with my iPad and iPhone. I was an MobilMe customer and I've been having trouble with this conversion to iCloud. Thanks.
I too was a mobileme user and have just migrated to iCloud on mackbook pro w/OS 10.7.4. Transition caused my sent mailboxes to rearrange themselves so that I have no comprehensive 'sent' mailbox as I did previously and the view on both incoming and outgoing mailboxes keeps rearranging itself no matter how many times I set preferences. One result is that search function no longer works. Is anyone else having problems like this? All was fine for a week after transition but after having an evening when my password was repeatedly rejected I had to log in and out of iCloud (as directed by tech support) and w/in an hour or so the mailbox problem began.

There are about 2 gbs of files that don't make it into my ipad but do make it into my iPhone, although the settings appear to be the same.
Can I fix?When you take a photo on a device that has photo stream turned on, that photo is added to the local photo stream group and uploads to icloud's servers, which then download the pics to other devices where they are also stored in their photo stream group. After 30 days, the photo is deleted from the server, but not the devices. (No more than 1000 pics are accepted, after which old ones are delete to make room for new ones.)
If, however, you turn off photo stream on one device, the photos in the photo stream group will be deleted. If you later turn it back on, then only photos on the server will download to the group. Pictures that were deleted from the server due to the 30 day rule will no longer be available.
It is advised that whenever you have photos appearing in the photo stream group, you move them to a permanent album if you wish to save them.
In short, photo stream is a conduit for copying photos from one device/computer to another - never treat it as some kind of permanent storage service; it isn't. -
Photostream.....is different on Iphone and Ipad.
i have the IOS7 update installed....looking at my Iphone 5 - I have 900 photos on my Photostream.....however, suddenly I only have 96 photos in the Photostream on my Ipad. One more thing, I have purchased additional Icloud storage. I know that all the photos were in my Ipad Photostream before.
