ICal events entered in iPhone don't sync with Mac

I am suddenly having problems with iCal entries made on my iPhone. They do not seem to sync with my Mac's calendar or on Mobile Me Calendar. I have tried syncing and still nothing. I initially had problems when I switched to the Beta version several months ago, got that fixed but now I'm suddenly finding events I entered on my iPhone not appearing on my Mac's calendar and I'm getting duplicates again, too. Very frustrating. I went to the duplicate calendar fix instructions at Apple but that didn't seem to fix my problem; I can live with duplicates. I can't live with missing events.
Any suggestions or references to a fix? Thanks/

I don't know if you have what I've also had, but http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=12382141 might help. I have this problem too. It's quite annoying. I have to keep iCal open before it syncs.

On you phone, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and make sure you have selected a calendar listed under your iCloud account as your default. If not, make this change, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs properly now.
If your settings are already correct, or if after changing them it still isn't syncing properly, make sure all the calendar events on your phone are in your iCloud calendar. If not, enter any missing events either on your iPad, or on icloud.com from your computer. Then, after your iCloud calendar is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn Calendars to Off. When prompted, choose Delete from My iPhone. After a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On to sync your iCloud calendar back to your phone. Then try adding a new event on your phone and see if it syncs properly now.

With iOS 7.0.4 Notes on iPhone don't sync with Notes on iPad

I upgraded both iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to iOS 7.0.4.
With iOS7 my Notes on iPhone don't sync with my Notes on iPad.
In both devices I have set iCloud ON for Notes.
In the Notes App I selected the iCloud Account.
But when I write a new Note on iPhone 4 it doesn't appear on iPad 2 and viceversa.
How can I fix this bug?

You can't go to icloud.com using Safari on your iPad, you have to go there using your computer. If you didn't do so, try going to icloud.com and check your notes using your computer browser.

"sync" fails to open? Do you mean, iTunes?
If you manually open iTunes, does your iPhone show up in the left column?
If so...
Click on your iPhone in the left column of iTunes.
Click on the "Summary" tab in the right colum of iTunes.
Scroll down to "Options"
Select "Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected"
Apply

Events created in iphone don't sync

Events created in my iphone4 calendar do not sync with ipad or ical on my MacBook Air. However, events created in both ipad and ical show up on iphone. I have double checked - my prefered calendar is HOME for all devices. Thank you.

Events entered on my iphone do not show up on my Mac ical.

Open "Settings" on the iPhone>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks>Accounts>your MobileMe account and turn off "Calendars," when prompted delete data, and wait two minutes, then turn "Calendars" back on. When asked merge the data, make that choice, and wait patiently. If you are able, I recommend using a Wi-Fi connection to make the change.
Hopefully that will correct the problem.

ICal and reminders on Macbook don't sync with iCloud

Just now when iCal crashed on my MacBook Pro I realise that it hasn't been syncing with iCloud (lost al lot of appointments).
Any change made on my iPad, iPhone and on icloud.com syncs perfectly; even back to my macbook!
The rest on my laptop (notes, iWork apps, mail, contacts) all seem to work and sync perfectly with iCloud.
However iCal and Reminders made on my laptop just don't sync to iCloud!
The other way around works nicely (reminders and calendar appointments from iPad, iPhone and iCloud.com appear promptly on the macbook).
I have tried everything i could find (restarting computer, resetting icloud prefferences, log out and in from icloud, starting new calendar, checking icloud account). Nothing works...
Any change made from my macbook just doesnt make it to other devices. From other devices back to my mac do work.
On my macbook all calendars I have are in iCloud.
iCloud is active (with same login as for other devices)
Would be great if someone could help me with this one!

I have something similar and i will try to explain with my rusty english.
I have an ID on iCloud but i can't sync the iCal events.
On my mac there is everythign (appointment, notes birthdays and so on). On my iCloud there is nothing.
I suppose was something related with the old ID (one just for ichat, not one of the ID that you pay to receive extra services or a @me.com account).
Now, as soon as the icloud features was installed on my Macbook Air I signed a new ID and initially everything worked fine. Emails on Mail and contacts were syncronized properly but with the new ID. i did not check iCal account.
So i tried also with the old one (the ichat ID) and all was sync. So i realized that maybe Apple recognized same account or name and merge all the ID in just one.
I was wrong.
The 2 ID's are not linked.
further checks add also this new weird stuff. in any case i cant sync ical accounts. i tried to switch from one to another ID. no way. i checked preferences in iCal on the mac. everything is fine. no way.
do uu have any idea?

When i enter a new contact on my iPhone 4s ios6 they don't appear in my contacts on my Mac but they appear on my iPhone when i enter them on my Mac

IF you're signed into the same iCloud accoun on Mac/iPhone and it's only syncing "one-way" here's what I'd do.
Probably start with the Mac:
System Preferences->iCloud & Delete the account and everything that is syncing with it from your Mac.
THEN go back into iCloud settings and re-add your account in. That should do it. If it doesn't: push it up a notch and remove the account from BOTH your iPhone & Mac. Then re-add one at a time probably starting with the Mac.

Iphone don't sync with itunes

hi, i have a problem. My Itunes not see the phone. Windows do it but not itunes.
I have win 7 x64 and an iphone 4 fw 4.1.

I've got exacly the same problem, I've just reinstall my windows, install just firefox and itunes to try if it works now. My Windows see iphone correctly but itunes don't recognize it. Sometimes itunes is starting when i plug in iphone but it don't show iphone on list. iphone is brand new from shop and it work with my sister macbook and father iMac. My system see an iphone as a photo camera and i can browse my photos but nothing more. Is somebody know how to sync iphone with my itunes?

Im new to mac so I dont know if Im just doing something wrong. (Got a mac today) anyway whenever I go to sync my iPhone it says syncing iPhone and then 1 second later it says sync complete.

ICal events entered on iPad don't show up on other computers

Using Mobile Me I sync calendar and contacts on three computers. I got an iPad and now when I enter an event on the iPad it does not show up on any of the calendars on the computers. Also, the one event will replicate itself up to 16 times on my iPad. This renders the iPad virtually useless for entering info into the calendar. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
I have unauthorized each computer and reset the sync data with all devices, but the same results occur.

Playlist changes on iPhone don't sync with iTunes?

Whenever I make changes to an existing Playlist on my iPhone, the changes are wiped out when it Sync's with iTunes on my computer? What can be done to prevent this?

As mentioned in my initial message the problem is not having double entries on iPhone but that entries and changes made on the iPhone are not reflected on the Apple units.
However, Just for the sake of it I followed your advise, which actually resulted in double entries on the iPhone. Luckily I could resolve the double entry problem on my own but I am back to square one.
I made the following tests:
1. New entry in address book on iMac: it shows on MobileMe and after a while on iPhone. After 1 night the entry is still available on iMac, MobileMe and iPhone
2. New entry made on MobileMe: it shows iPhone and is still there after 1 night; it does not show on iMac; after a while it disappears from MobileMe
3. New entry made on iPhone: it does show on MobileMe but disappears after a while; it never appears on iMac; after a while it even disappears from iPhone where I made the original entry.
Somehow it looks as any entry or change needs to be made on iMac as it seems to have overruling power over all other devices.
What do I expect:
1. When making a new entry on any Apple device (iMac, MacBook, iPhone, MobileMe) the new entry will show automatically on all devices and stay there
2. When I make any change on any device, that the change will be shown on all devices and stay there
3. That all devices show always the latest change made on any device, never mind on which device the change was made.
Those expectations are standard with Blackberry. My understanding is that those features are provided for with MobileMe or am I mistaken?

Podcasts played on iPhone don't sync with iTunes on my Mac

Sometimes my played podcasts on my iPhone do sync to iTunes, sometimes the podcast on iTunes is still marked as new and transfers back to my iPhone as unplayed.
What are the actual steps I need to take to ensure that my played podcasts are transferring to my iTunes as played with a Last Played date?

I haven't noticed the issue with music, but with podcasts it is very noticable and annoying. Basically, it seems as if the iPhone is sending no information during the synch. Podcasts I have listened to and have been automatically deleted are re-added as soon as I synch. Has anyone tried unchecking the synch podcasts button on iTunes? I'm tempted to try it and see if the podcast app handles everything solo.

When I connect iPhone 3G to MacBook, iPhoto and iTunes opened and begining syncing.
After a few seconds, iPhone continues syncing but in iTunes disappear...
This happened with OS 2.2.1 and OS 3.0 in iTunes 8.1 and 8.2, but I only have this problem after create a Mobile Me account.

My bookmarks of my books on iPhone doesn't sync with mac OS X

Hi when im reading with my iphone, but when i stop i put bookmark in my iphone and later im going to continue reading with mi macbook (mavericks) and i dont have my bookmarks. It extrañe cause when im reading with a my mac and i put a bookmark with the mac i can follow my reading in the iphone with out problmes but not in the other way.
Any solutions Please help!

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
