ICal events on iPad don't show up on Mac book Pro iCal

When I add an event to my Mac Pro iCal it shows up on my iPad, but when I add an event to my iPad calendar it does not show up on my iCloud or Mac Pro calendar. How can I get these devices to equally shared and update?

Go to sounds in system pref and select outputs. When the hdmi cable is plug into the tv it will show as an option under output. Just select that option.

Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The usual results of posting etrecheck output on this site without a full description of the problem are very poor.
The many "failed" warnings that etrecheck sometimes spews mean nothing. Those warnings are not a reason to reinstall the OS, or to do anything else at all. They should be ignored.
The better your description of the problem, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

Phantom Drive show up on Mac Book Pro

I have a Mac Book pro, with a goflex Segate extrenal drive hooked up, I had an Western Digital drive hooked up and then I removed it from. The problem is it still shows up on the Mac Book Pro and will not let me delete it... It says that i don't have permission for item on the disk, But the drive is still not connected to the computer. How can I delete this drive so it doesn't show up on the Mac Book Pro??

IPad finds Airport Express network - Laptop Mac Book Pro won't

My Airport Express base is plugged directly to the internet box from Optimum.
My Ipad finds the Airport extreme's device and network. I surf online. No Pb.
The Mac Book Pro simply can't find it, doesn't list it on available networks/
I tried the Airport Utility application. The app. can't find my Airport Base.

I tried out many things, reset the airport base, found it with Airport Utility App with internet cord, renamed and set on open network .... as soon as i unplug the ethernet cord in between airport express and macbookpro, it is invisible again. Airport from laptop can't find it, it is not visible. It is though for the iPad and i surf with ease using the Airport Express ...

Why doesn't my website show correctly on Mac Book Pro Mtn. Lion?

When I open iWeb on my old Mac Book everything opens up just fine. Now that I have purchased a new Mac Book Pro, all I get when I open iWeb is the template page. I tried to move the domain only to the Library/Applications Support/iWeb, but that did not help. Any suggestions are appreciated. I hate to redo everything. I like using iWeb for our travel website. Thanks for your help.

In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

I need to talk to someone about changing all of my accounts. A iCloud account was opened not by me and I lost 17 years of contacts. I have slowly gotten them back. My files from my Mac Book were taken and are gone. It has cost me about 60,000 dollars in business since November which has effected my staff as well. Many personal ireplacable memories of my childrens Photos were taken, Business, designs and accounting and personalFiles you name it gone or corrupted. My main PC including 4 external hard drives, then the Mac Book, My Iphones,itouch. Ipad were next and then my Mac Book pro. This is very humbling and heart felt. those who work with me have very strong beliefs, it was an internal doing or I should say someone gained or was allowed access to my home and equipment. I travel and tour and am gone quite a bit. This was and is the most difficult thing that has happened to me in a long time. In truth business and work will and can be rectified that not the point. It's how and what has been done which is the most damaging very personal almost vidictive but I will stop there. I feel so violated and saddened at the same time. I am hoping to contact someone through Apple or even an outside source to see if my files can be recouped and how to go about doing these changes all at once without all of the emails back and forth to approve changes in accounts what a pain. I have won awards for my work and my designs and information being taken has hurt more than words can express. I am currently out of town doing this late at night. I have changed my banking you name it. I need to have access to my computers to work but the stress of these constant changes and invasion of privacy are beyond expression. I plug in any of my usb drives and they are empty or my computers do not recognize them. I plug in my usb connector from my HP 8100 Printer with Blue tooth capabilities and it pops up and an external E drive for downloading just like an external drive. My printer acepts every imaginable portable disk on the market . Many of my usb drives are gone or have been corrupted. I have this darn air drop that goes on all the time. My computers I turn off and then they are on when I get up. I can go on and on. I live in the bay area and I am asking for help in trying to stop all of this. I will call Apple next but I wanted to put it out on this forum with the hopes of some response or input. I have all of my new and very minimal recovered information now on a web-based server which I know is safe the pass words and set up were done very discreetly (one can only hope). I apologize in advance for laying this out there like this. I am just so frustrated and because of the POSSIBLE implications makes it even harder In which I truly want to be proven wrong. I have never written or thought that I would be doing this as it is. If anything I hope some good comes out of this for someone. Bluetooth is a powerful tool this much I know now. Wow this is just simply amazing. There are 14 products I have purchased. I have been a windows person for years because of my work somethings are prapriatary to that OS but I love the Apple products. I am despratley trying not to nor will I throw in the towel. I know its a great product and its not the product. I just want to have the best opotunity to recover and have control over my designs and pretty much my privacy and peace of mind not too much to ask..:-) Oh! do not get me wrong I am willing to pay for services thats not the issue here. Once again thank you for at least espressing my frustrations.

Hotmail on a Mac is POP3 only, you will only get the basic folders (inbox, sent, trash etc) and it will not sync with other devices.

First, uninstall "SuperTV" (whatever that is) according to the developer's instructions. It isn't working and it's filling the log with noise.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message. When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
PLEASE DO NOT INDISCRIMINATELY DUMP THOUSANDS OF LINES FROM THE LOG INTO A MESSAGE. If you do that, I will not respond.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) If your device is discoverable, the other BT device would try (I am not sure if that would be successful). If it was, it would appear in your system preferences>Bluetooth.

How to show the pdf from the iPad in the new iBooks on the Mac Book Pro?

I have several books in PDF format on my iPad 4 but for some reason they persistently REFUSE to appear in the iBooks on my Mac book Pro (haven't checked the iPhones). The new iBooks brags that we can ontinue reading our books where we left from one device to the other, and since most of my interesting books are in PDF, how can I access this feature? What if I create a book with a iBook creator, will it show?

I figured it out (for me anyway) for syncing via USB or WiFi.
My PDFs in iBooks Mac weren't showing up in iBooks iOS & this is how I fixed it - it's syncing seamlessly now
I went to iTunes for Mac
Clicked on my device e.g. iPad
Clicked on 'Books' from along the menu that says 'Summary - Apps - Tones' etc.
Ticked the 'Sync Books' checkbox
Selected the 'All books' button, making sure that under the menu ('Books') I had selected 'Books and PDF files'
And then pressed the sync button at the bottom right of iTunes. It worked.
It's a 'set it and forget it solution' - after doing this I no longer need to interact with iTunes for syncing PDFs & books. Even when I rename collections on iBooks Mac, it transfers seamlessly across to iBooks on my iPad/iPhone via Wi-Fi.
Hope that helps - it certainly wasn't obvious to me.

Sounds like a possible permissions issue, try repairing the permissions using Disk Utility.
You can open Disk Utility several ways.
1. Use the Spotlight in the Upper Right corner of the screen and search for it, then click it to open it.
2. Open a new finder window (File> New Window)
- Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
3. Click on the Finder
- Click 'Go' in the menu bar across the top of the screen.
- Click Utilities, then double click on Disk Utility.
Once Disk Utility is open there should be a column on the left side, the name of your hard drive should be listed there.
(By Default it is named Mac HD or Macintosh HD)
Click on it to highlight it.
There should then be a few buttons you can click
- Verify Disk Permissions
- Repair Disk Permissions
- Verify Disk
- Repair Disk
Click Repair Disk Permissions

I regret to say that you need a new computer. That G5, as good as it still is, simply cannot run the required software to be used with the latest iPhones and other software.
