ICal for construction scheduling?

I'd like to use my iCal for relatively simple construction scheduling. I'd like it to show by the week or month overlapping start dates and potential finish dates (May 4th, start concrete -May 7th, strip forms - finish on the 11th.) I'd like the ability to add reminders and the flexibility to change when subcontractors start depending upon schedule. I've seen complicated expensive construction schedulers online and am hoping to stay away from them. Sort of like the layout of the app Schelandars under the chart tab. Can iCal do this by default or has someone created a script for it?

No. It's mostly because the majority of people will put up with mediocrity (or less).
Also, since the "Business Community" is all wrapped up in MS, Apple directly integrated MS Exchange support in all their products to include the ipad, iPhone and iPod touch.
Then again, if MS had it "wrapped up", Apple would not need to integrate anything because their products would not be used.

How to Set Time Period for KM Scheduler

I have created one Par based application in which i have assigned one role to perticular id dynamically and i scheduled this task by using KM Scheduler. but this scheduler assigns this task for 1 mins or greater than 1 hrs. i wanted to run this task for every 10 mins or 20mins or 30 mins. actually i tried to edit the time table property for KM Scheduler for 10 mins but it not works it take 1 hrs and 10 mins.
so is there any way to edit this time table property and set scheduler time to 10 mins or 20 mins.

Hi Rahul,
If you want to run the scheduler for every 10 minutes, you can create your own timetable and assign it in the scheduler tasks.
Steps:
Goto Sytem Admin -> System Config -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Scheduler Time Table -> Time Table -> Click on New
You can find Scheduler Time Table in advanced options.
Specify the vales as mentioned below and save it:
ID: <any ID as you want>
Minute : 10
Time Zone : GMT+05:30 (Asia/Calcutta) India Standard Time
For other parameters, no need to specify any value.
Then go to Global Services -> Scheduler Tasks -> Your Scheduler Component -> Select the new timetable you have created for timetable parameter and click OK
I have specified timezone as IST time. You can change the time zone as you require.I have done this and its working for me.

Frustrating time to find the Solution Manager add-on for CPS Scheduling.

I have spent a couple hours looking through my maintenance optimizer and the software download site.
The problem is that I cannot seem to find the plug in anywhere. I have found posts pointing to different locations but each one has been a dry hole for me.
So here are the questions
1) Does the SolMan Add on for CPS scheduling cost ? I believe it is ST_PSM
2) Where is it on the download site?

ST_PSM is not part of the "normal" Solution Manager license, it must be licensed separately. If you don't have that license you won't see the it in the Download Center.

How to create diferents deliveries for each schedule line

Dear gurus,
I have sales orders with many schedule lines in order to deliver in diferents dates. We need to create all the deliveries together but each schedule line needs to be in a diferent delivery with the corresponding delivery date.
I analiced the customizing about pool for delivery creation (VL10) but all I can change is for display and can not change the way the delivery is created. If we select two schedule line with diferent dates, the proccess create only one delivery with the total quantity and the first date of delivery.
Anybody knows some way to make the proccess create individual deliveries from diferents schedule lines?

I hope you are using VL10E. Did you try working with Delivery creation date (range) and Delivery Date calculation rule? For example if you go for a value of 2 for the CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt ('Rule for determining default value for deliv. creation date), then system will consider only those sched lines which are to be delivered today and tomorrow.
You also have the possibility of setting up your own routine for CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt.
Thirdly SAP has suggested a solution for Scheduling agreements ( valid for releases upto 4.7). In this SAP has suggested solution 4 for ensuring all schedule lines are not delivered together. You can customize the code to include Sales orders ( in stead of Sched Agreements) in your case. Though it is for release 4.7, I think you can use the smae concept in ECC also.

GR Date for Delivery Schedule line

Vendor On-Time Delivery Report
We have vendor On-Time Delivery report requirement, where we rate the
goods-delivery of a vendor as "On-Time" or "Early" or "Late". The
rating is given based on the difference between "Statistical Delivery
date" and "GR date" (in the PO/Scheduling Agreement).
In case of Scheduling Agreement (SA) we have to give delivery rating
for each Delivery Schedule Line - Based on the difference
between "Statistical Delivery date" and "GR date"
The Goods Receipt is done at Schedule line item level and not at
Delivery Schedule Item level, the GR date is not populated at Delivery
Schedule Line level and we are not able to find the GR date for each
Delivery Schedule Line.
Once we get the "GR date" at SA Delivery Schedule line level, then from
the difference between this date and "Statistical Delivery" date, we
can rate the delivery of vendor as "On-Time" or "Early" or "Late".
Is there any way that we can populate/get the GR date (GR creation date) for each delivery
schedule line?

I am working on the same requirement. Appreciate ur help on the same. The notes helps in understanding how quantities are distributed while GR. did u implemented any logic for this distribution or something else to compare the dates. I believe by checking the open quantity (EKET) (scheduled - GR quantity) we can see if there is open quantity for any schedule for the previous day then tht falls under the delayed quantity and if there is zero open quantity, it is on time delivery.

On the previous software version I used to be able to view all my calendar events as a list by clicking on the magnifying glass. Now you have to type into the search dialog box for a list to populate. This is very frustrating and annoying because I much prefer the list format to populate everything unless I specify what I am looking for into the search box. Is there a way to view all the events as a list without having to type anything into the search box?

And you are aware of the possible options for listing the months and having an optional export value for each month.
For listing the months, you can use a number, a 3 character string, or the full name.
For the export value, the full name, the 3 character value, the 1-2 number, or the 0-11 JavaScript value.
I would look at deciding how you want to populate the drop down box and build a one page form with just this field. You can then insert that page into a PDF and copy the field as needed and then delete the inserted page. Or you could create an FDF file to create the drop down box.

Well...I went to the modem (Westell, WireSpeed), found the NAT settings, once again, I'm WAY over my head, I am assuming this is a TCP connection (as opposed to a UDP) and per Lorex my mobile devices will use port 1025. So I gave it a "global port range" of 1-10 and I indicated that the "base host port" was 80, 1025, & 9000 (ports 1,2,3). When I selected the 'enable' it asked for a "host devise" my choices are my IPhone, IMac and the IP address for the dvr, so I choose the dvr. I still cannot connect and canyouseeme still can NOT find these open ports. This is taking up my whole day! I don't know how people figure this stuff out.

Daylight savings all-day events issues in updated iCal for iPad

After purchasing new MBP, Genius Bar told me to update to new iCal. I have noticed that any all-day events taking place on the date that daylight savings begins (3/13/11 i.e.) lasts on iPad's iCal for two days. When I attempt to edit, event still displays for two days. Guessing it is because that day technically lasts for only 23 hours. Genius Bar consultant had no suggestions for a remedy. This error appears for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 daylight savings beginning dates. The error doesn't seem to be a problem for the MBP or my iPhone.

I've experienced the same problem. I set up a recurring one day event on the first of each month - come April 1 in 2012 the event is spread over 2 days (the end of daylight savings time in Australia) from April onwards. I can muck around with the event and have it set at one day from April1 onwards in 2012 but there's a recurring event bug related to daylight savings. I wonder if any alarms people have set for that day will again experience the problems from the past?

BAPI or FM for Sales Scheduling Agreement

Hi ABAPers,
I need to transfer the Sales Scheduling Agreement (T-code: VA31) data into SAP. I am sure that it is not possible by LSMW and BDC methods as I have to upload Header and Item texts for the scheduling agreement.
So, I am trying to find any BAPI or FM to create the same.

We have few materials which will be used only in PS-For construction of our buildings. We are not selling these materials, seldom we will use for STO ( Both Inter & Intra).
Can i create these materials using MM01 instaed of MM41 ?
Is listing compulsory for these materials also ?

Yes you can create material through MM01...........Create seprate material type for PS material & use is exculusively for PS only....................You can do STO for SAME material...

Sales people will create sales scheduling greements through VA31 T-Code (normally for finished products).In that they define forecast schedules as well as JIT schedules.After creation, these will be appeared in MD04 screen as requirement for that finish material.
In MRP run,system will create procurement elements (planned orders for example) for these requirements.
