ICal froze after trying to add an event?

iCal froze after trying to add an event. I have had to force quit the app for the last 4 days. Does anyone have a solution?

ICal quits when trying to add new events

I cannot get iCal to add an event without it suddenly closing. The only difference I can tell is now there is always this conflict resolver window from iSync popping up saying there are no conflicts to resolve. I never had that before and now that it has started my ical is all messed up. It showed up after the last sync. I am using 10.4.11 and iCal 2.05.

I am trying to add an event to my calendar the server responds with a "403" message.

I am trying to add an event to my calendar. I receive the following message: "The server responded: "403" to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation." This is a Citrix GoToWebinar event that I would like to add to my calendar without manually entering the information. I have a 2009MBP running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.

After posting my question I found this discussion that relates to my question Calendar & iCloud "403" error message. Now I have the question in Yosemite the only file in the list that I could find is Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist. Where are the rest of the files in Yosemite?

bridge cc will not open after trying to add patch aom package (adobe output module) to workspace. this patch was recommended by adobe help to allow creating pdf presentations. the help stated bridge cc was shipped without this and to download aom package win 64. I tried that, and either did something wrong or? I deleted bridge cc 64 bit, then went to cc and downloaded bridge cc (not sure if it is 32 or 64) and the program still does not open. any ideas?

hi, can any one please advise what should I do for my server? Dell poweredge T630 cannot reboot after trying to add new memory card. Even I remove the newly added memory card and only keep the original one there, it still cannot reboot. Before I try to add the memory card, it works well without any rebooting issues.

hi, can any one please advise what should I do for my server? Dell poweredge T630 cannot reboot after trying to add new memory card. Even I remove the newly added memory card and only keep the original one there, it still cannot reboot. Before I try to add the memory card, it works well without any rebooting issues.

Ical missing the can't add new events! Help?

The plus sign is missing from my ical on my iPad, how do i get it back to add new events?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

I have 2 touch's that froze when trying to update to the latest ios version. Neither respond to restarting the devices. They are also not recognized in windows or itunes. How do I get these to work. I followed all of the instructions on the apple website and they still don't work. I have verified that I have apple support for mobile devices installed in itunes and my version of itunes is 11.0.1. I am running windows 7 64bit with service pack 1 installed and all of my updates are current. Is anybody else having this problem with their apple devices?

Creative cloud keeps crashing after trying to add a new font?

I recently tried to add a new font to my library with typekit. As soon as the download was complete, at the point where it should have synched, my creative cloud crashed.
Now, i can still start creative cloud, and i can even get to the primary menu, but 10 seconds after launching it, it crashes. What can i do?

Ical will not let me add new events

Hi. I am working on a mac at my new job and I was trying to use the ical on here to setup my calendar. However, when I click in the field I get a warning message that says: "You cannot change events or To Do items on calendars you've subscribed to."
I didn't subscribe to this calendar, it is the original calendar given to me when I opened ical. I tried adding a new calendar and adding on that but it gives me the same message. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this? Thanks!!

Hi Cara,
Welcome to Discussions.
With iCal closed, try deleting it's preference file (User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist).
If this does not work try repairing permissions. Open Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) and select your boot volume on the left and click Repair Permissions.
If neither of these work post back.

ICal crashes after trying to update to Yahoo account

When opening iCal, it immediately tries to go to a Yahoo.com account that I had through a former employer. I know that I need to delete the calendar group from iCal. The problem is that iCal immediately tells me that the server is not responding, does this twice and then exits. I'm unable to access Preferences to delete the offending calendar group. Can someone tell me how I can delete the problem calendar group without iCal? I'm sure there is some preference file or something. Just don't know where it is.

Try removing the com.Apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences folder, and move it to the trash. Then log out/in, or restart and see if iCal opens and gives you some time to delete the old account.

Select another Calendar in the sidebar. When you add an event, it adds it to the currently selected Calendar. You have the US Holidays calendar selected, and it cannot be modified.
If the Calendars list is not showing, click the Calendars button on the top, left.
You can set the Default calendar in the Preferences.

Why does iCal crash every time I add an event?

It seems that everytime I add an item to iCal and then try to set the time iCal crashes. Any suggestions?

I'd take a look at the following article - it'll go over everal solutions you can try if any application (including iCal) is quitting unexpectedly:
