ICal/iCloud sync issue

I have: Mac OS X (10.7.5), iPad 2G, iPhone 4S, 32GB iPod Touch 2G
I've spent a LOT of time looking for some iCal help and so far haven't found it.  There are SO many issues that I accidentally responded to one from a year ago.
MY PROBLEM:  I can't get iCal (on iMac) to update to iCloud, so my phone and ipod won't update.
I've seen numerous issues where events created on devices don't show up on the desktop/notebook calendar.
SO, I tried creating a test event (on my phone) while connected to the iMac. Then I disconnected the phone and created another test event.
All 3 places (cloud, itouch,  iMac) got the info immediately!  This makes my problem the opposite of most.
I went to this page for some help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999
I checked default calendars, etc.
I especially looked at Troubleshooting Calendar at iCloud.com
It didn't help me at all.  I didn't even get the message to let apple know.
Please HELP me!!!!

I have this problem but have not tried iCloud directly, just downloading it to my computer:
I am running OS X 10.7.5;  I joined a webinar last night and am getting the same error message, just about:
Access to "(the webinar I joined)” in “(the calendar I chose” in account “(my apple id)” is not permitted.
The server responded:
“403”
to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
My options are:  Go Offline   or   Revert to Server
This is a recurring entry using a downloaded .ics.  Have downloaded it several times with the same result, does not matter which calendar I put it in.  It does put in the first session, puts the second one in the wrong date, puts in no more.  I have entered it manually which gets it in there but the error message keeps coming up.  I also imported it from the .ics file I downloaded, rather than using the online method from the website, and then from the email, where the webinar originates.  (Also does not matter what calendar I put it into, have tried more than one.)
This is happening on a late 2008 MBP as well as a mid 2011 iMac.
Not Mountain Lion.
Last time I joined a webinar, which was probably a couple weeks ago, from the same source as this one, there was no problem adding it to the calendar.

  • ICloud Sync issues between iPhone and MacBook

I have a peculiar problem. I have iCloud turned on for Contacts, Calendar and Notes between my iPhone 6P and my MacBookPro running OS X 10.10.2. If I make  a change or add an entry on the MBP, it does not show up on the iPhone until I make a change to something on the iPhone, then the iPhone changes go to the MBP, and the MBP changes then, and only then, appear on the iPhone.
I have the same iCloud account on both devices. Very confused. (I have not done anything regarding Family Sharing, and I do have the iCloud drive turned on.)
    Any clues?

  • TS3999 iCloud + iCal + ML sync issues

    Hey guys,
I recently purchased a late-2011 13" MBP and upgraded it to ML.  I did not have any prior issues with my iPhone/Mac/iPad/Black MacBook syncing together with iCloud, which is why I'm perplexed after countless Google searches and resets with no answers.  My iOS devices are still syncing properly.  I can access my updated calendar at iCloud.com.  Everything works except for iCal on Mac with iCloud.  I now have an exclamation point next to iCloud in the calendar along with a phantom Google calendar that is no longer shared.  The error message I get is:
The server responded with an error.
The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “iCloud” failed.
Does anyone have a solution for this?  I've attempted signing in and out with different accounts to test, allocate and/or delete files from the Library > Calendar folder, Preferences folder and SyncServices, and also verified disk permissions.  I'm re-downloading ML now to try re-installing it.  I'm out of ideas.

    Hey there!
I apologize for my terminology because it probably wasn't accurate or that clear.
While using your existing Apple ID or iCloud account, open Calendar, then go to File > New Calendar > iCloud.  Give it a different name and color than your existing calendar for troubleshooting purposes(you can always delete the old one and rename it and change the colors later).  Once the new calendar is created, try creating a new event under it to make sure that it syncs across all of your devices.  In my scenario, doing this revealed that the new calendar synced correctly while the old one continued to show an error icon.
As far as migrating the calendars, I think there are two options.  Luckily for me I didn't have too many events so I went into each event and edited them at the bottom where it indicates which calendar you want to associate the event with.  The other method that I was going to try, but wasn't sure if a corrupted event/setting would carry over to the new calendar if I did, was to export my old calendar to my desktop, then import it back into my new calendar.  Theoretically, this should move all of those previously entered events under your new calendar without having to click into each event like I did.  Because I've never tried it, I can't speak to whether or not the original error would return.  *However, if your Mac Calendar is empty due to syncing issues, the export method won't be of much help as it only exports what is currently visible in that calendar.  But if your calendar currently contains all the events you'd like to keep, but it just can't sync anymore, then exporting and importing might work.
If you decide to try the export/import method, it's pretty straightforward.  After you create the new calendar, click on the old one and go to File > Export.  Save the file to your desktop, then go to File > Import.  Choose the file you just saved and select the destination as the NEW calendar you just created.  Again, theoretically, it should work.
    Good luck!

  • Apple, please fix Calendar, iCal, iCloud, Sync and let us work...

There're so many errors and bugs, please redo it from the start an do it right. Don't you have enough resources?
Have you guys seen how many discussions are about iCal, Calendar and iCloud, sync service, '403 error', 'There was an unexpected error with the request (domain (null) / error 0)', 'The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation' , etc, etc.??
Don't you think is enough? At least Mobil me used to work fine..
I don't want to offend anybody but I bet there are some users out there sick and tired of these things...

I'm going to pile on to the iCloud iCal and Reminders implimentation.  I'm still using Snow Leopard so I did a work around with setting iCloud up as a CalDav account.  But why is it that between my iPhone, iPad, iCloud.com and my MacBook Pro that iCal on my MacBook is the only place where I can see my events and ToDos on the same screen?  I can almost understand on the iPhone, but with the iPad and iCloud interface there is plenty of real estate.
I don't know how any body can use the iOS and iCloud tools to effectively manage thier schedules.  As it is I am using third party iOS apps and google calendars and tasks.

  • ICal/Google sync issues since iOS 8.2 update

Since the update to iOS 8.2 a few days ago, iCal on my iPhone 5s is not syncing with my Google Calendar.  I have already reset the 2 step verification on my Google calendar permissions, checked to make sure events are in the Google calendar and not in the iPhone calendar, and checked settings to make sure the Google calendar is selected.  The only thing I have not tried (because I'm worried that changes I made prior to realizing thisi was an issue would be lost) is deleting my Google account from the iPhone and reconnecting.  Is that really my only remaining option?  I'm stumped.

I'm facing the same issue on iOS 8.2 iPhone6. iCal is not syncing on the iPhone. It does, however, sync from Yosemite to iCloud.com.

  • ICal iPhone Sync Issue... Bug?

I have many repeating events in my calendar. I often have to change the time of one of the events in the string. I seem to have major problems when I do this either in iCal on my Mac or in the iPhone. When I sync I end up with deleted events, duplicated events, or other seemingly random errors. Often my iCal and iPhone are showing different info after a sync. I have double checked the settings for sync and reset my sync history with no positive results.
This problem is so perversive that I have reverted to putting in repeating events as entirely separate events. A huge pain as an event that repeats for five days needs to be put in as 5 completely separate entries.
Well, now a new and interesting bug has shown up. Yesterday I put a repeating event in on two days in my iPhone as two sepereate events... no repeat from within the software.
Today I synced with iTunes and the iPhone wanted to create a new calendar in iCal with the new events in it. I canceled the sync and double checked all my settings with no issues found. In the end I had to allow the new calender to be created to get the new events over to my iCal and now I have another calender that I never created!!!
I have calendar sync problems nearly every time I sync!! My calendar is my income!!! I need help. This is approaching unusable. Any help would be appreciated. Any thoughts, ideas? Any one else seeing these kind of issues?

I am having issues with birthdays as well. Someone else posted that it was with birthdays over 75 years ago, and that is definitely what is happening with mine. The even stranger thing is, if I change the address card with the birthday of 1926 to 2000, it still doesn't show up on the iPhone, however if I create a new card with a year of 2000, it works fine.

  • ICloud sync issues with Outlook 2007

I am currently using Outlook 2007 and want to sync my Iphone 4S with it. I have setup the icloud settings etc and I am having the following issues.
When I change something on my phone there is no wireless sync happening even though its setup?
When I go to my outlook calendar it gives me two choices. A pink tab says Calendar in Cloud and a green tab says work in Cloud. When I sync my phone calendar changes show up in the green Work in Cloud. However, the Work in Cloud does not contain many of my previous inputs prior to starting with the icloud service.
When I click on Contact it’s initially blank and says no contacts, if I click on Contacts in Cloud my contacts show up.
Can you help with these items? Thanks in advance.

    ok...
From experience, I can tell you the two calendars are both default calendars with iCloud. 'Work in Cloud' probably doesn't contain any of previous inputs because your iphone probably defaults to your regular calendar.
For me, I was able to get a good understanding by looking at the icloud calendar at icloud.com and the outlook calendar side by side. I recommend doing so, and playing around with things so you can figure out how they work.
With Outlook, you are going to have locally stored stuff (like Contacts), and your cloud-stored stuff (like Contacts in Cloud). That is why you are seeing two different sets of data. It looks like you dont have any locally stored contact, which is fine. All of your contacts are in iCloud (or...Contacts in Cloud), which should correlate to your iphone. again, it might be best to just pull up icloud.com, and put it side by side with outlook. it helped me get a good understanding of how it works.

  • Address Book / iCal / iCloud sync - best way?

I am getting used to iCloud, but trying to determine the best way to add contacts and update calendars.  When I add a contact to my iMac Address Book "All on my Mac", the contact doesn't populate via iCloud to my iPhone.  I also show duplicates when I look under "All Contacts" in my iMac Address Book. It works fine when I go to iCloud.com.  My contact is synced to my iPhone.
What is the best way to do this?  Am I missing something?
Also - for my Calendar syncing - I am running into similar problems.  I have added iCloud to my iCal.  When I add a calendar entry to iCal, it doesn't populate on my iPhone or in iCloud.  But when I enter a new calendar entry on iCloud, it syncs fine.
Again - suggestions?  Am I missing something?

I am finding out that iCloud (web) approx. stores 50% of my contacts and some 80% of my calendar appointments. Why so? At least the sync tool from MobileMe was making sure that, once synchronised, the databases were identical.
When do you expect either a workaround or a fix of this bug?
I also read the answer to the above comment: it can't be that iCloud web is the only source or the master for entering information. That would be not an elegant solution.
Looking forward to reading your answers and advices.
    Cheers
    Catherine

  • ICloud syncing issues

there is icloud available for snow 10.6, the thing is you need to purchase it via appstore.. from there you can now tweak and play around on the syncing, it located on your mac systems preferences after download.. cheers!
I looked in the app store but couldn't find iCloud.  Did I misunderstand what you meant?
oh! very sorry for the misinformation, i'm probably not up to date.
it's already change to OSX Lion upgrade at 29.99$, think i just saw iCloud app mid or early last year.
anyways, hope you already have resolved this issue, if not just let us know how we can help..

  • ICloud syncing issues... again.

Right back to where I was a couple weeks ago. Numbers files aren't syncing to iCloud again.
Restarted, reinstalled, etc. again and still nothing. I noticed that my files weren't deleted off of the ipad when deleting the app. When I reinstalled, all of the docs that were current were there immediately and the ones that are the problem immediately went back to an "updating" status but never do.
I'm starting to wonder why I bother with this stupid app anymore. It's been useless far more than its been functional over the past couple months.
Oddly, Pages seems to be working fine.

Thanks Joe, but this has been going on here and there for months now. I've gone through all the steps on this page and was even contacted by the iWork team at one point. The service is still spotty at best (it actually happens to be working again right now).
The transient nature of the problem leads me to believe it's an Apple issue (the service itself or something triggered by  various software updates), rather than some configuration problem on my system. It works for weeks then stops. At some point in the future, long after I've given up trying to resolve the issue, it starts working again. The only reason I noticed it was now working was because I received an email about your reply and decided to see if the problem was still occurring.
Just a couple weeks ago, iWork stopped syncing on not only the iOS devices but also in Yosemite. Messages poured into the forums yet Apple's status page showed that everything was ok the entire time.  It was several days (or maybe a week) then everyone's iWork started syncing again at nearly exactly the same time. That's not us, that's Apple.
I think the thing that frustrates me the most is the inconvenience caused throughout the device when you follow various "troubleshooting" steps when Apple refuses to acknowledge an issue. The iWork team had me log out of iCloud, then back in... Oops! There goes all of the credit cards I set up in ApplePay on my iPhone! Reset Network Settings? Sorry, all of your network passwords are gone, you'll have to enter those now everywhere you go for the next week or two.
I'm not knocking you Joe. I truly do appreciate you taking time to reply. I'm just getting really frustrated with Apple's inability to get these things working in a stable manner and refusing to save their customers the headaches by just honestly telling us it's broken. Leaving us in the dark causes far more issues than it solves.

  • ICloud Syncing issues on iOS7 on 5s?

Since switching over to iOS7 and an iPhone 5s I am having the following issues:
    1. All my keyboard shortcuts (which sync using icloud) are gone.
    2. I cannot see any of my icloud documents in Pages, Numbers or Keynote on my iPhone?
    3. If I make any changes to iwork documents on my iPad they do not upload to iCloud.
    4. When I try to login to iWork in the cloud it just takes me back to the login screen without logging me in. All other iCloud functions work fine.
Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Know of any fixes?

Exactly the same issues on my iPad2 although all my iCloud files are visilbe on my iMac. In addition, I've lost access to my files for PDFPen on my iPad.

  • Ical - iphone syncing issues

I haven't had this problem until recently (the last month or so) but I have my iphone calendar set for military time to avoid any confusion. Military time isn't even available as an option on ical on my main computer! Now every time I try to sync my phone with my laptop, there is confusion in the system as to whether to process a (for example) 3 o'clock appointment as 3 am or 3 pm. several of my calendars have gotten screwed up this way. Is anyone else having this issue or a solution to it? I prefer to keep military time. Thanks

Having Military time across the board really helps me out, as well. This is how you configure it for iCal on your Main Computer:
    System Preferences-->Language & Text
Select "Formats" at the top of the window.
Near the center of the window is a section called 'Times'; a small sample is shown. Click the Customize button to its right.
(This next part can be a bit confusing.)
Four different time formats are displayed, each with a different 'length'. Click-and-hold the Hour section of the time displayed and select "00-23" from the popup. Do this for each 'length': Short, Medium, Long, and Full.
The longer 'Length' formats have AM/PM. Click on the PM and hit your Delete Key.
Click 'Okay' in the lower-right of the window.
Restart iCal; it will now be on military time on your Main mac.

  • ICal - iPhone Sync (Issue or bug?)

If I enter a birthday for a person in my address book of 1/2/1930, it shows up in my iCal but does not get synced to my iPhone. However, if I just set the date to 1/2 and have the computer flll in 2007 it shows up in iCal and on my iPhone when synced.
Is this a bug? Seems like it to me...

  • ICloud sync issue

After trying to resolve the problem by following directions at the support site, I am only able to sync iCal from my iPhone 4 over wi-fi usiing iCloud. Any event entered into the iPhone does not sync back to my iMac (OS 10.7.5). If sf sync is obviously enabled, why only one way??

    Howdy IKH,
I suggest this article named iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3999. The General Troubleshooting, and  Troubleshooting Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion (iCal on OS X Lion) sections specifically.
