Ical info appears in blocks when cursor is idle while I'm in other programs

This is just an annoyance that takes my ADD mind of task, but for some reason there are hotspots on my screen that will bring up calendar and to do item info even when ical is not even open.
For example, the one open now says "url: mailitem:[lots of numbers and letters] type:todo&action=showparent..."
Anyone else have this annoyance or know how to eliminate it?

If you are affected by the lower accuracy controls for CC's brush or pencil tools, use this Bug report/Feature request form to let the folks at Adobe know- they are actually hopefully going to fix this.......

Concise problem statement:
I was told to by Neeraj N(staff) to report this issue based on this link : (http://forums.adobe.com/message/6065706).
The Pencil / Brush tools have lost essential functionality with the addition of the new accurate / smooth adjustment preset. Users are no longer able to specify high-accuracy pen mapping, as the finest accuracy setting is now set to 2.5px (legacy versions allowed accuracy to .5px).
I would think adding additional slider nodes to allow more accurate mapping (while still using the accurate / smooth preset) allow for a minimal change in programming with a maximum return for power users.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. open illustrator
2. use either pencil or brush tool.
3. draw erratic and high detail shapes
Results: shapes are smoothed to 2.5px smoothness, even when the accurate / smooth adjustment preset is set to full accuracy.
Expected results: shapes have minimal / no smoothing to maintain the integrity of the artwork.

I've been using Aperture now for several months without any issues except for the last couple of days...when I now download my shots from the memory card the photos are heavily pixelated and blurry but when loaded to iPhoto they are fine.
Can someone tell me what the problem could be and how to fix it.

Is Aperture doing any processing? ("Window→Show Activity" -- anything there?)
Are the Images pixilated/degraded when shown in the Viewer as well as in the Browser? (Double-click an Image to open it in the Viewer.)
How 'bout at 100%? (In the Viewer, press "z" to zoom to 100%. The "z" key toggles the zoom.)
Does generating a new Preview remove the pixilation? (Select an Image in the Browser, hold down "{Option}" and click "Photos→Generate Preview".)

Getting an error when trying to go to windows explorer and other programs.

I am having trouble when trying to go to several programs like for instance the Windows explorer, recycle bin, etc. and getting this error: And there is only one program running!!
"There is not free enough memory to run this program. Exit one or more programs,and then try again."
minus the quotes of course!
I called Microsoft and they wanted $100.00 up front and $50-75.00 there after per hour to try and resolve this!
I called TrendMicro, thinking it might be a virus and it was not. They spent 3 hours with me on the phone trying to help me solve this, but they came up with nothing. And they DID NOT charge me anything for all this time and help over the phone. That is one hell of a company that can do that, while a money hunger company called Microsoft would!
If anyone know how or what I need to do to solve this, it is greatly appreciative on my end.

Thanks for answering this and trying to help me with this. I have been dealing with this problem for over 2 weeks and my bald head is getting thinner by the minute!!
The computer is a refurbished one from Toshiba after the main one, kept crashing and they decided to give me a refurbished, step down model. Been having trouble with this also and I fixed the problems it had myself up until this one. I am about a total wreck because of this, but here is the information you wanted!

I am also ticked, because Toshiba has put my working drive to D and the backup files on Drive C. This does not make any sense and why they did it, I do not know!

Firefox won't start when double-clicked or when clicked on from the Start menu - but other programs say it IS running.

When I go to the START Menu to start up Firefox - *or* double-click the Firefox icon on the desktop - the program will *not* start. Yet if I try to do something that may interfere with Firefox, it says to close Firefox down because it's running.... which it isn't. Even going into the Task Manager through *control-alt-delete* shows plainly that Firefox is not running... I downloaded a game through Mediabox.com to watch a movie, that may have started the problem.

No - I get the message basically saying "Can't run program while Firefox is running. Please close down Firefox & try again".
I rebooted my computer and it all works now - but that's weird it was happening before. Kinda weirded out that it happened at all.
To avoid that happening again, I still wanna know what to do to avoid it or fix it for next time. Thanks

My scroll function won't work only when I use ff. Works on every other program. Is there a fix?

The scroll on my mouse works fine every place except on ff4.0. It was fine before I upgraded a couple days ago. Have been running ff for years with no problems. This is aannoying but your still the best.

Why does firefox sometimes just stop talking to the internet and just set there with the connection icon spinning and spinning and not going anywhere, when Thunderbird can still get email and any other program is not having trouble accessing the internet

On the shared computer click on System Preferences -> iCloud -> Account Details verify that each individual account is configured correctly. By default, the Apple ID used to install the computer the first time is used for all accounts on the computer, unless it is changed.

I've imported several CDs that are "collections", with songs by various artists. Only a PORTION of the song info appears in iTunes, and, when a song is "clicked-on" to play it, a message appears that the "song could not be found". Any ideas ?

The CDs are imported into the "iTunes Media" folder, under "Compilations". Each CD has a folder, with the name of the CD. However, EACH SONG in the folder is assigned a sequential number as a prefix before the song's name. For example "2-1 Sunshine of Your Love." This prefix, I believe, prevents the song from being imported into the iTunes library. The song's name appears in the iTunes library (with the number prefix), BUT no other song info (artist, CD name, time, etc.) shows in the iTunes library. I am NOT designating these CD's as "complilations", but somehow, iTunes is arbitrarily assigning them to this "Compilations" folder, and then assigning sequential numbers to each song. I am confused. (My only remedy is to MANUALLY remove the prefix number from each song in the CD folder, within the COMPILATIONS folder, then "re-import" it into iTunes. Cumbersome.) Thanks in advance for any opinion, tips or guidance.

The numeric prefixes in filenames are probably the optional disc number, followed by the track number. iTunes will pick up the Compilation flag from the Gracenote CDDB database if you ripped the tracks with iTunes, or the flag may have been set earlier if these are existing tracks you have imported into a new library. The iTunes naming convention is <Artist>\<Album>\[<D#>-]<T##> <Name>.<Ext> where Album Artist is used instead of Artist if not blank, and Compliations is used instead of Artist when Part of a compilation is true. Empty Artist or Album values are replaced with Unknown Artist or Unknown Album respectively. With Windows, file and folder names are limited to 40 characters. If more than one file is added with the same details subsequent tracks get suffixes to separate them.
If iTunes can't find a file that usually means that it has been moved after it was added to the library. Select a single broken track and press CTRL+I to Get Info. Look on the summary tab at the location that iTunes expects to find the file. Where is it really? Post back both paths and I might be able to figure out what has happened, and suggest a fix.

Well are you syncing them with the same acount? Are you syncing them to the same source? If you are both syncing the iCal on the same computer then you are going to end up sharing all the entries. You need two differnt AppleId's and user ID on the comuter you are syncing to if you want everything to stay seperate.

You're off the hook, Apple, and my apologies for stating that you let a dog run loose. You skated by this time, Apple. But I'm watching you.
But again, Putaro's reference to the plugins I had installed over the years turned out to illuminate the problem. I have several plugins in my iTunes plugins folder, pretty much all designed to add more visualizer functionality. I removed all of them, and ALL of the problems I noted in my post went away, with full iTunes functionality restored.
I began adding the plugins back to hopefully single out the culprit. Among the ones I had been using included fielder, G-Force, Timestrech, volcanokit, QuartzComposer, and Jax. I hadn't used any of them in a while - probably at least a verison or more back in iTunes updates, but iTunes continued to work with all of them installed. Currently, only QuartzComposer continues to work in iTunes 10.4. The rest no longer even show up as visualizer opitons, with one exception. Jax does show up, but does not work. AND THE PRESENCE OF JAX IS WHAT KILLED MY ITUNES.
I looked into it and went back to the developer, and it appears that they discontinued developing Jax some time ago - evidently, it was buggy and crash prone. I remember after buying it, having problems with it - having never worked to its touted potential, but I didn't pursue it, and never uninstalled it. Leaving it in there caused all iTunes functionality to cease with the iTunes 10.4 update.
If you've got Jax installed, consider removing it before updating to iTunes 10.4.
My iTunes is now working right as rain, thanks again to Putaro!

Some of the options not enabled when cursor is placed on it.Eg:Ask a question in this screen Only in full screen mode it is enabled

On a normal screen some of the functions are not enabled when cursor is placed on it.For example,in rediffmail the folders,settings, sign out, functions are not enabled in normal screen when cursor is placed on it.On full screen mode these are enabled.

Have you got anything like addblockers or script blockers installed which may cause this problem ?

I was trying to create a PL/SQL block where I am trying to call all the SQL Plans and then drop them one by one. Here is how I am doung -

Analysis: When I ran it 4 times, it showed me that the remaining records after the pl/sql run was like -

In Acrobat XI, how make "tooltip" pop up when cursor touches a button?

In a 283-page .pdf, words needing definition are hyperlinked to a "glossary." I want to have a condensed definition pop up when cursor touches the word. I've tried using an invisible button on the word, then put the definition in a "tooltip," but the "tooltip" doesn't pop up when the cursor touches the button. How can I get it to work? Or is there a better way to have popup definitions appear?

Yes, the button overlapped the link. Since the link goes to the full definition in the glossary, and the button is a condensed definition, I want both--and it looks as if I can condense the button so both will work. So far so good--unless there's a better way.
