ICal info invisible on iPad

After I updated to a new computer, all my information on my iPad iCal disappeared. I can't see or add anything. However, it synced up to my computer. So, the info is on my computer and iCloud is working. And, obviously, it is still on my iPad, just invisible.... Help!

Thanks Roger. I had set it up correctly on the computer, but kept going to the calendar settings on my iPad instead of iCloud. You hit the nail on the head. The iCloud on my iPad was not set to sync the calendar. Strangely, my calendar wasn't working at all. I couldn't add events either because there was no plus sign. As soon as I set up the iCloud correctly, everything went onto the iPad and I got my plus sign back. Phew! I primarily use my iCal on my iPad, so I wasn't sure what to do. Thank you!

ICloud iCal sync Issue: Only iPad has correct nfo

Of the four places (desktop, browser, iPhone, iPad) where my iCal is viewable I only have the proper info on the iPad. I have toggled the iCal On/Off in the preferences pane of both MBP and iPhone to no good outcome. How do I get the iPad's correct info to populate across the other devices. This annoying developement is recent and inexplicable, I have had no major system / software issues, all other aspects of iCloud are working properly. I have most recent software on all iOS devices and 10.7.4 on the MBP. Used to be there was a prompt asking how you wanted MobileMe to merge info... is it just me or was MobileMe more granular (like being able to reset sync history) and conceptually more understandable? Anyway I'd greatly appreciate any leads, I've come up empty on this forum and the other mac forums.

Fixed it. In case anybody else has this issue or simular. uncheck the calendar option in the icloud prefs, then check it back on. A little to simple.

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

No. You're allowed up to 5 or somehting, but if you don't deauthorize the old one, when you log into the store and look up your prefs you'll see it say 2 authorized computers.

ICal use with serveral iPads

My Wife and I both have an iPad (with different iCloud/Apple IDs and Accounts), however we share a Macbook Pro for iCal.
My iPad syncs fine with iCal- all of the information appears and I can update information on either the iPad or iCal successfully.
My Wife, however; is unable to successfully recieve the data from iCal when I set up another account under iCal preferences.
My question is: How do I sync my iCal calendar across multiple iPads- without using the same Apple ID for both devices?

My suggestion to sync all of your devices to a common iCal calendar is what I just did with my wife and my products. We have iPads 1 and 2, 27" iMac , two iPhone 4's, iPod touch 32 gig etc.
1. Open iCal on your Mac
2. Click on the "Calendar's" button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
3. Hold the control button on your keyboard and click on whichever calendar you want to share across devices.
4. A pop-up menu appears. Click "Share" on that menu.
5. In the pop-up window choose "Everyone"
6. This should now let you sync/share a common calendar/s
7.You should see a little icon next to each calendar you choose to share.
8. This can be done on several calendars (ie: Work, Home, etc.)

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

Go to Apple > Software Update and install all available updates until no more are offered.
On iPad go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates.

A backup doesn't contain any of your iTunes downloads or the contents of the Music, Videos or iBooks apps. If they are ibooks and they are still in the store then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app. If they are PDFs and/or epubs from other sources then do you have copies of them anywhere e.g. are they in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library or elsewhere on your computer ?

Unfortunately the communication with iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) is only in one direction: data from your computers will go to your iPad but not the other way around.
That's a limitation of Firefox Home.

Anyone figured out how to run iCal completely invisible?

Has anyone figured out how to run iCal completely invisible on Snow Leopard -- not just minimized on the dock, but completely hidden. The goal is to be able to press Comamnd+Tab and NOT see iCal.

I too have a KRZR K1M that I received two days ago as a "gift' from Verizon in exchange for renewing my contract for 2 years. I had a RAZR that I had been able to sync with iCal after I edited the metaclass.plist file for that phone. I would then have to delete and re-add the RAZR each time I resynched in order to select the option I wanted from the iSync dialog window. If I "merge[d] data," the calendars on both my mac and my phone would fill quickly with duplicate entries. As for the KRZR, i have tried several times to add and sync this phone to the mac. It worked only once, and I was able to get the mac to write a years worth of events into the phone, but no matter what i do, i have not been able to repeat the process for my ical events. I use the VZW backup assistant for my contacts, just to be safe. I would like very much for Verizon and Apple to get together on the iSync issue. Verizon tech support told me only moments ago that the only phone they offer that will sunc with iCal is either a Treo or a Blackberry. And they aren't handing out either of them for free any time soon.

I have exported several files from WebCalendar (http://webcalendar.sourceforge.net/) to ICal and found that the "info" window views the html as code and not as actual content. I looked about for an option to possibly enable this, but I can't seem to find it. I'm suspecting ICal does not support this function.
Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

If I understand the iCal specification correctly, this is not a compatible ics file. The contents of the DESCRIPTION should be text, not requiring interpretation. Your sample includes html tags - a browser will interpret them rather than display them, but ics files should just have plain text. So iCal is correct in showing you what it gets, rather than attempting to interpret the html markup tags.
You need to find a way for your webcalendar to export the file without markup. Note that you can't put a link (as you are attempting) in the Notes (DESCRIPTION) field - it will just be displayed as text. Even if you put something in the URL field, you can't directly click it, you have to click on the URL label and select go to location.
So, in short, the answer to your original question is that iCal info window does not, and is not supposed to, support HTML.
