ICal invitation from iCloud:

Hi all
if I send an invitation from iCloud calendar to an invitee that does not have an iClould account, he/she receives an email. The content of this email is in Italian: I have everything localized in english: OS language, iClould language.
To me is a very big issue, is there any way I can have these invitations in english instead of in italian?

Send iCal Invite from Alternate Address?

My iCal invites in Lion keep sending from my .mac address (which I never use). I want it to send from by 'send from' address, and I've changed that info in mail and iCal -- to no avail.
Any suggestions?

AFAIK MobileMe is the only way to send event invites. If you have a MobileMe mail account then a new 'feature' of iPad Calendar is activated which allows sending invites.
I don't know of any other way to do it.

How to send ical invites from another email address than the iCloud address

Hi everyone,
I have set up my calendars in ical to work with icloud and everything is going great.
The problem i have is that when i invite someone to a meeting or reply to a meeting invite the invitation is send from my iCloud email address. Instead i want the invitation or reply to be send my business email account.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to select which account the invtiations are sent from?

1. I didn't replace my [email protected] login with my [email protected] email. I only changed my email information to my [email protected] email. I still login with [email protected]
2. The me card in both my local address book and the addressbook on iCloud only contains my [email protected] email.
From what I've read in other threads, changing the apple id email means deleting my iCloud account and starting over with a new login email. Apple officially says that it's not possible. But others seem to have succeed with it.
Do you know of any other solution?

I have two server calendars linked to my iPhone. With Google Calendar I do not have an 'invitees' option on editing events, with iCloud I do.

How can I set up an HTML form to send iCal invites from a chosen date?

I am working on a site that has a form for booking appointments, and I have used a popup calendar and time for users to select. However, this needs to be sent to the recipient as an iCal event via email so they can just click Accept and it goes into their calendar. Is this possible, and if so how would I go about doing it? Oh, that's a general instructions many installers give to avoid conflicts. I suggest ignoring that instruction and trying to install normally. After all, can you really trust a downloaded program??
Regarding your antivirus status, it's critical to have antivirus software, and Firefox doesn't offer that feature. If you check the "Security Center" in the Windows Control Panel, it should tell you whether you have antivirus software installed and, if so, which program it is. If you don't have one, try Microsoft's free one:

Ical invites not being sent from MacBook Pro but are being sent from iphone

Hoping someone can please help me! I am suddenly unable to send iCal invites from my laptop. They look like they send, but nobody receives them and also the events don't show on my iPhone and iPad2. If I add the event on my iPhone, I do see it on my laptop. I recently did a system update and I wonder if that is the cause. Any help you can give me would be so appreciated. Thanks.

I am having this problem as well. Specifically, when I create a new calendar meeting I am able to add users to the invitation and when I save the invite it gets sent. I have also modified an existing calendar event that has other people invited, and when I exit editing the meeting a pop up window specifically asks if I want to save my changes "and send it to the other invited participants" or something like that.
I click yes.
In both cases (the original creation and invitation, and the modification and send update to attendees) nothing is received by the other recipients. Not a calendar event or invitation, not an email with a .ics attachment or similar, or not even an email notification.
Thus, I set up an event in my calendar, invite others, and no one is aware that the event was set up.
Is there any way around this? I don't think I'm doing anything wrong as the process of creating an event, inviting someone, and sending out the invitation seems pretty straight forward. It just isn't working.

Can't download iCal invitations (.ics) anymore. anyone else having similar problems?

Until a couple of days ago, I was able to send iCal invitations from my ipad or iphone to my work address and download the .ics file and import it into Outlook for Mac (since sync services is gone or useless). Now, opening the invitation sends me to the icloud webpage like before but when I try to download the .ics/meeting invitation, it says that iCould can't find that page. Any suggestions? Thanks

Astaro security gateway and ical invitations

When I want to reply to an ical invitation from an iCal server behind an Astaro Security Gateway, it's blocked by the Astaro. error 550: address unknown. I can understand that the astaro doesn't like addresses like [email protected]
Has anyone experience with Astaro gateways? Before I take it up with Astaro I want to know what other options I have. I don't know if it's possible to do some regex on the address, or filter by some unique header.
I do not manage the box. I'm just looking for information to provide to the people who do the support.

QM = Quick Mode = Phase 2.
Phase 1 is either Main Mode or aggresive mode.
So by the fact it is getting to QM that suggests phase 1 is working. What you do see if you do a "sh crypto isa sa" on the ASA ?
Can you check the phase 2 settings to ensure they match ie.
1) check your crypto map access-list and make sure that the local and remote subnet you have on your ASA matches the Astaro local and remote subnets
2) Explicitly set PFS in phase 2 and get them to do the same on the Astaro firewall.

whenever i send an invite to an event, the invitee receives it but there is no link to respond. is this because they are using pc's rather than a mac with ical?

Been dealing with a similar issue for about 3 years now, so I know your pain. Apple will not solve this problem because they're a stickler for standards, no matter what the rest of the world really needs. How to prevent invitations from being sent automatically by Siri/iCloud/iCal?

I have recently discovered, through a series of embarrassing events, that when I use Siri to schedule an appointment with someone, that person automatically receives an email from iCloud inviting them to my appointment. I do not even get a prompt asking me if I want to send them an email. These emails are being sent without my knowledge or approval! This can happen with a Siri command as simple as "schedule coffee with John on Friday morning at 10:00." I want to see an appointment in my calendar called "Coffee with John" at the appropriate time. I do not want to see "Coffee with John Doe" (last name added automatically) and have John receive an invitation by email. What setting do I use to change this?

It sounds like the Calendar event that you created on your iPhone included your brother's email address. Before saving an event in the future, you may want to check the invitee field to see if his email is being populated by Siri when you create a calendar event.

Cannot accept invites from notifications in iCloud Calendar & no notifications in iCal on iMac

I do not get notifications for invites on Calendar application on iMAC ?
I do get invite notifications on iCloud Calendar, but when I try to accept I get an error message "Cannot save invitation reply" and so I cannot accept.

I have the same problem.
I get Gmail email with the outlook invite from business associates. New 5c won't let me accept or decline. A cascade of problems follows:
The sender and all others do not know if I'll be attending, no reply can go out on my phone.
I have to sign in on my gmail from a computer which I don't always have thus delaying.
If I need to reply asap I have to do so via an email. This makes more work for sender and affects my credibility.
I don't know all meeting attendees and can't email them all so they're left in the dark.
I have to manually put in all info to my calendar - which we know increases work, decreases efficiency and increases likelihood for error.
This is a BIG problem. Help please!!
