ICal isn't syncing.

The calendar https://cal.me.com:8443/principals/users/1.1056797216/ was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct.
Any tips?

I have a similar problem. Events that I enter in ical when sync'd with our ipod have the incorrect start time, usually pushed forward to the previous day. Would love to know what's going on, but it looks like a bug to me. You listening Apple?

    I went through my iCal app on my Mac and added my schedule to it. When I went to sync it with my iPod touch I noticed the times are off. I have an even on my Mac saying that it's for 19:00 and my iPod is telling me that the event is as 18:00. Yes, it's in the same time zone and I've looked around in preferences, but I can't find anything that looks like it would fix the problem. I've also unsynced my calendars, then synced them again. I want to times to be correct so I don't miss something.

  • New iSync 2.4 isn't syncing with iCal

    Before the 10.4.9 update I was using Mactomster and it worked pretty well. When the new update came out I went to sync and it came up with an error. I realized that the Mactomster plugin was probably not going to co-operate with the new iSync so I deleated it and then it erased all my contacts. So I used Pasificst and re-installed the iSync 2.4. This didn't help as the install didn't go well and then the icon showed up as a "generic" application icon and crashed immediatly. I ended up doing a Archive and Re-Install and iSync was back as it should be. I was then able to get the contacts to sync, but I've never been able to get iCal info to sync. I've tried selecting "all" and "selected" and neither has worked. I also get very erratic syncing on the contacts. It will send the info to my MBP, but not update the e62. It usually quits with an error and doesn't even start the calander sync. Anyone else had this or got an idea how to fix it? I've also tried to "reset all devices" and "delete and re-add" nothing has worked.

    Thanks for the reply - it does help but only partially. Using a smart group as indicated only allows you two identify those few things that have changed during the iSync. The synchronization as such does not actually download the entire phone list on my phone, only those specific ones that have changed can be found by the smart group.
    Isn't there some way to isolate specific groups to and from a phone?
    I've tried backing up my existing Address Book, deleting "All" and then isync the contact list from the phone into the Address Book. Then I make a new group from that contact list. But now, I am a bit confused on how to then bring back my full list.
    This seems to be much more complicated then it should be. Am I missing something....again?

  • ICal Alarms & .mac sync

    I'm using .mac to keep my calendars on my desktop mac and my powerbook in sync. I've got a calendar in iCal made up entirely of events with email alarms. I'd prefer that only my desktop mac send out the email reminders, and was wondering if anybody had a clever idea how to go about this....
    * I've tried to see if I could not sync the "reminder" calendar to my powerbook, but haven't been successful at finding a way to choose which calendars I want sync'ed.
    * I've tried to see if there was a way to entirely disable reminders on my powerbook (not just when iCal isn't running), also unsuccessful.
    Does anybody know if either of these things are possible, or have any other ideas how I might do this?

    This won't work if you need to sync both ways but a possibility is to publish from desktop and subscribe from laptop. You can choose not to publish alarms when publishing calendars.
    Too bad this wasn't an option with under isync as it certainly makes sense. This is clearly something to send Apple iCal Feedback. And, unfortunately you can't sync just some calendars (another Feedback/Suggestion)

  • ICal won't sync with iCal from other computer and .Mac

    I am trying to snyc my ical on my desktop with the ical on my laptop. I use my ical on my laptop most often so its data is most upto date, but I would like to have it so that no matter which one I look at its the same, and if I change something on one it will update on both.
    I thought that is what would happen with .Mac and syncing. But when I try to sync my desktop it says that it won't sync the calander because of inconsist data, but it won't tell me what they are.
    It says to confirm that your computer's data is valid, (its not, but how do I confirm or not?). Then it says to reset calendars on .Mac in the system preferences when I try to do that it gives me an icon of computer and .mac, and an arrow saying in what direction I'm assuming data will go. I choose .mac, to computer and it still comes up with the same problem.
    So how do I fix? Once I fix will it merge data on both or will it always be thinking take the .mac data and replace it? It scares me when it says are you sure you want to do this and its changable if you do. I don't want to loose the data on my laptops calander.
    Is there a way to clear my desktop ical, and then sync it and get my laptop's data and start from scratch? And then do mutual merges after that?
    It says to check that my info on the computer is correct and then to reset it in .mac preferences. The data on the desktop isn't correct but even if I reset, it won't

    I'm having massive problems with syncing via .mac with two local Macs - nothing I have tried has worked as yet and it's currently under investigation with a .mac specialist.
    I did used to get the 'inconsistent data' warning but that has somehow disappeared - now I don't get any warnings and .mac says both Macs are synced but I get nothing updated to iCal from either direction...
    So I don't as yet have an answer but just to let you know that if you get in touch with Apple they will support you with finding an answer.

    Note that iSync also plays a large part, not just .mac and iCal - you need to 'reset sync data' in iSync/preferences.

    I recommend that you add the computers one at a time, confirming each time that syncing is working correctly. To confirm that syncing is working, make a change in one of the data types you are syncing, then perform a sync from the first computer. When that syncing is finished, perform a sync on the second. If syncing is successful, add a third computer, and so on.

  • New Macbook iCal will not sync to MobileMe

    I bought a new macbook air and when i turn on syncing, my mobileme account will not sync the calendar saying mobile me needs to be fixed...the dialog box says:
    "You need to replace your calendar information on MobileMe." If this computer has the most current information, click replace. If the most current information is on another computer, click Fix Later and replace your information from that computer...

    Sounds like exactly the same problem I have. Have Black MacBook and iPhone 3Gs synced to MobileMe and everything works. I set up a White MacBook (both MacBooks are 10.5.8) with new HD, formatted, new install of Leopard, new application installs, ran software update until all are current, then ran Repair Permissions.
    Then turned on MobileMe sync. Safari bookmarks, Mail, Contacts, etc all sync fine and near real time for changes. iCal on computer is completely blank--didn't even update the 4 named calendars. I reset iSync history and tried replacing data on computer with MobileMe content. Nothing. Then reset iSync history again and tried merging all data. This time it said there was over 3,000 calendar events to add. Sounded good. But nothing happened.
    Looks like I can create a new event in iCal and it syncs to MobileMe, then delete in MM and it updates on MacBook. But zero existing events in MM show in iCal on MacBook, even when I edit one and resave it.
    Update: I sent a message to Apple at www.apple.com/feedback.

  • ICal won't sync from mac to iphone or the other way

    I have found that my iPhone calendar is not being updated when I sync with the iMac - and it doesn't appear to work the other way either.
    It used to work perfectly and I haven't changed anything.
    I have made sure all the boxes for syncing calendars are checked but that has made no difference.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I found this tip from a 2011 discussion on the same topic.
    Open iCal and backup or export your entries. Make a note of the fie name and location, you're going to need them in a minute. Once your backup/export is completed, close the iCal application.
    Open Finder and remove everything inside the "Username/Library/Calendars" folder. For instance, if your username is "Joe", then move everything inside the "Joe/Library/Calendars" folder.
    Open the iSync application. It's located in the "/Applications/" folder. Once iSync is opened, go into the iSync Preferences (iSync -> Preferences) and push/click the "Reset Sync History" button. Then, close the iSync application.
    Re-Open the iCal application and Import (File -> Import) a new calendar. When prompted, use your notes from Step #1 to select the file your created earlier. Once completed, close the iCal application (you should have all of your calendar entries back.)
    Open the iTunes application and connect your Apple iPhone to the computer.
    Within the Advanced section of the Info tab for the Apple iPhone, check the box the overwrites/replaces the Calendar data on the Apple iPhone.
    Click the Apple/Sync button. New, modified and deleted entries should now be syncing correctly.
    That's it! You should be all set and iTunes, iCal and our Apple iPhone should all be playing nicely as friends again. We've used the exact method to repair our own Apple iPhone at least once... maybe even twice.

    You can try a reset.
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Otherwise yo will have to update via iTunes on a computer. Other uses have had to do that.
    -   fyou update on other than your syncing computer/iTunes library following these instructions. When you restore the iPod it will also be updated.

    If that does not resolve the issue, where is the information "good", on the iPod Touch or the computer and are you using MobileMe to sync or do you just plug in your usb cable.

    I tried the same but it did not worked. But, i got a solution. I accessed gmail on my laptop. Went to gmail settings. There is a option to add a device. A iPhone was already listed. I clicked Revoke to remove it. Then i clicked add new device and gave it iPhone name and a new 16-20 character password was geenrated. I used it to configure gmail on my Iphone and it worked beautifully. So glad i have been able to fix this. That password is a one time password to authenticate that device.

    First lets establish that you have calendars enabled on your iPhone and iPad.
