ICal - month/year navigation bar on bottom like iPad...can we have it?!

Is there a way to activate iCal in Lion OS to be like iCal on the iPad: specifically the month-month bar on bottom of screen to select any month in a 12 mo period. There is nothing at the bottom of the new iCal on Lion.

Having been working with human computer interfaces for years I can't resist getting into this one:
Just another click is not just a click. It is a poor interface! ANY TIME A USER MUST USE A WORK AROUND THE PROGRAMER HAS FAILED! Apple has dropped the ball on this one. There should be seamless continunity between all devices. The screen views and functions should all be the same.
There are a number of things in Lion that are a step backwards. This is one. Another is the loss of the scroll arrows. Now moving around large lists and bjects is painful. And no, the keyboard arrows are not good enough (another poor work around.
Another is that desktops keep changing their order and the arrow keys do not cycly through all the desktop views as they used to in Spaces. I have to arrow from end to end or use Mission Control. That requires TWO clicks.
The whold point of a Mac is to have an intitutive user interface. Someonw needs to start again with Lion.

Navigation bar Safari ios 8 ipad

Does anyone know how to disable the feature that causes the top navigation bar to auto minimize in Safari when scrolling down on the ipad? I want to disable as it means I now have to scroll back to the top of a webpage each time I need the nav bar back (to make it reappear) so that I can click back to a previous webpage.

I have been searching as well, and I cannot find a good solution. I do most of my navigating using the navigation bar. Now, what used to take one tap takes two or requires a down swipe to access controls I had before. I would really like to get back the functionality I had before the update.

Custom Navigation bar not working. Apple can't seem to help

After watching many videos on people customizing their Navigation bars on Iweb, I decided to do the same for my website. If you go to the home page of my site I can click on any link and have no problem. However, once I am off of the home page I cannot get any of the other links to work. I took my mac to the apple store and they showed me how to fix it. But it didn't help. Nor has there been any useful advice from calling their tech support. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

So if you have a custom made nav bar that works okay on the home page, but not on the other pages of your site, did you remember to go and hyperlink your nav bar on the other pages of your site and not just your home page, or did you forget?
That is one reason why they will not work, if you forgot to hyperlink - you either have to hyperlink first and then copy and paste or do each page individually - it is time consuming, but is the price you pay for having a custom nav menu.
A url would be nice so we can see what is going on.

Navigation bar icons are quadruplicated, how can i reset to only one.

To the right of the search bar, there are three sets of navigation bar icons. when I go to view and uncheck navigation bar, all 4 are removed. I uninstalled FF and reinstalled it and it remains the same.

Don't have "Live View". I am using Dreamweaver 8
My question is about the 2nd Row in Dreamweaver 8.
The first row has Titles: File, Edit, ect.
The second row has icons: I can not click on them to activate them.

Bare Metal Deployments: The BMC can't have IP Address defined in logical network?

I have defined a logical network, a logical switch, and a port profile. I apply the logical switch (the NIC teaming settings) and a virtual network adapter that inherits the hosts network configuration (pass through config. no software defined networking)
to each of my Hyper-V hosts successfully.
The issue occurs once I have defined that logical network, I can no longer deploy bare metal hosts because the BMC obtains an IP within that logical network. You see the BMC IPs and NICs are on the same subnet/VLAN.
What's the best practice or perhaps best method to get around this issue?

You have created a logical network for your BMC in VMM? If so, why have you done that?
The bare-metal process requires both PXE and
DHCP during this process, and the scope should therefore be in DHCP and not VMM for this purpose.
Can you try to do that? (If this is a lab environment, you could add the DHCP service to your PXE server or even VMM server).

What is it that you have lost and want back ?
And was your ''old browser'' another version of Firefox or a completely different browser.
If for instance you have lost Google Toolbars not that this is no longer supported by Google on Firefox because basically it adds very little if any functionality that Firefox does not already have, (and you can still gain access to google bookmarks if that happens to be one of your problems).

Change navigation bar Adobe Reader plugin on Mavericks 10.9.5

I have installed the latest version of Acrobat Reader on my Mavericks 10.9.5.
I'm using safari browser with adobe reader plug in to read PDF document in web viewer.
A few months ago I have noticed that the navigation bar / toolbar is different from what is used to be on Adobe Reader in safari.
In the original navigation bar there was more options.
How can I change it back to the default navigation bar to look like this?

You need to go into the Safari>Preferences>Security>Manage Web Site settings,
Select Adobe Reader
Set Allow Always for all web sites.

Combined logo and navigation bar

Is it considered to be poor layout to combine the company
logo and navigation bar in the same image? I have created this
image in Fireworks 8 as a jpeg to keep the gradients looking good
for both the logo and navbar, but am not sure if it makes the page
load any slower by having them in the same image? I do have
rollover buttons on the navbar so I do have to export it as
‘HTML and images’ w/slices. I do find it easier to
setup in Dreamweaver if they are together but could separate them
with some extra work. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Responsive Navigation Bar (Alignment)

I have my first responsive navigation bar on my page, and can not find the rule to move the (parent?) main menu item headings to the left. (I tried a couple things, some help, some didn't). I would like to move the 'Products' tab (with the others) to the left to line up with the blue border line. I need to also ensure that the subcontent displays starting same position also, and not far left of the main title/heading . (Essentially all text content left and text subcontent left lined up with the border (horz rule) line. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No Notepad. Plain vanilla is just a basic HTML page with no stylesheets attached to it other than the one you're trouble shooting. When I looked at your page earlier, I remember seeing about 15 CSS files (some jQuery related).
Division-itis is never a good thing.   Use HTML selectors alone or with classes.

Check out the Body of you standard page template. Make a copy of this code prior to experimentation !
Within the Body you may see something like this:

CSS or JS Navigation Bar with inline Styled Search Field

Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to create a CSS or
JS navigation bar that would contain a matching styled search field
box?
I have tried creating something like this a couple of times
using the old JS Navigation Bar wizard in DW, but can't get the
results I need. I can never seem to add a column that would include
a search box and have it look right and inline with the rest of the
navigation.
For reference, I am trying to do a nav that is somewhat
similiar to Apple's Nav bar, where the search field is styled to
match the rest of the Nav and inline with the rest of the buttons.
Any thoughts?

You don't need to use PMM. You can set your menu container to
position:
relative and then absolutely position the search box inside.

Frames do have some value in situations like this. Just make
sure you
understand the downsides of that choice....

According to the help screens for WebDB 3.0 EA, a navigator bar published as a portlet can override page style elements like color in order to provide, for instance, a navigator bar with a different background color than the page background color.
Quoting from the help files:
The portlet body color refers to the background color of the portlet, and is controlled by the style applied to the page. Therefore, when you change the portlet body color for one page, you do so for all pages adhering to that style.
