ICal need a major update...

I'm a pretty new mac-user, but know my ways around computers! After the major iOS 5 update on my iphone, the calendar was given a landskape view, but without the ability to crop the timeline in week view. I thought, now I finally can see and summarize the whole scheduled week! NO!
The only thing I require is an edge to crop the timeline with. Even on iCal, I found it enoying to scroll through the timeline each week when displays like the ones on macbooks and iphones can view pretty much 24 hours from top to bottom. a edge to crop the timeline in both daily and weekly view.
An other idéa I got was; a button witch says; Don't show the time from -- to -- ; with another [yes or no] button witch says; unless something is scheduled during that time.
It will hide all the sleeping hours if a user only want to see what's scheduled during, let's say 7am too midnight.
I wish to see an update on some of these ideas, because I use iCal and calendar on iPhone with iCloud a lot!

Depending on which Mac Mini you buy, it could have the lastest version of Mac OS X.
A brand new one would indeed have the latest version of Mac OS X.
You can't replace any parts from the Mac Mini to the iBook, you could newtwok them to transfer data between the two computer, a Mac Mini can't upgrade an iBook's OS. They are completely different machines.

When I go to Vista problem reports it shows that Acrobat Reader 7 needs to be updated as it is incompatible with Vista.
When I go to Uninstall Programs, it shows that I have Adobe Reader 9 installed. But at the top of the list there is an item that is called Acrobat.com. I'm wondering what that is? It appears to be a web site so why is it in my programs list?

The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility will not remove your remaining Flash 9 OCX file; it won't probably even see Flash 9 anymore, as it had been (partially) removed.
There seems to be some kind of ownership problem with that file, that prevents you from deleting it. There are various tools on the Internet that allow you to assume ownership over a file, also some force-delete tools. Check Google.
The best way (for future Flash Player major updates, e.g. from 10 to 11) is to uninstall the thing, then do a new install instead of an upgrade. That should get rid of all associated files.
When I started using Secunia I found Flash 6, 7, 8 remains, and also very old Shockwave stuff. I use the uninstall method now for these players.

Need new software update

Wanting more out of the internet. Is there any idea if the new software update is going to allow a real player download. I also want to be able to open Microsoft spread sheets(word, Excel) in my emial. I would really like to be able to open them and also edit them but I have a feeling thats not goning to happen. doses anyone have any idea when the new software update is and what major topics is it going to address. Ringtones, Games, etc....

There's already a hack to put new ringtones on it, so we know it's possible (I wouldn't really recommend doing it unless you're really adventurous).
What I really need in an update is to give the iPhone the ability to transform into a robot. How cool would that be?

How can this be the case when I haven't changed any apps from before updrading to iOS6, and I don't have any music yet on the phone? Why is it telling me there is not enough local space?

If you recently updated your iPhone to iOS7, you will need to update iTunes on your computer to iTunes 11.1 or newer for it to correctly recognize the iPhone. You may find the following link helpful:

Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.

I have a red badge with one update and it is referring to the old app that has been sold that needs to be updated. When I try to update the app it says no longer available for purchase. So I have since deleted that app in hopes that it would resolve the red badge issue. It has not. Somehow, that old app and the new app with the same name but by a different company has caused the glitch. I have reset all settings on my iPad, I have rebooted, I have deleted the app and still the red badge with the one update for the old app is there. Hmmm. . . I guess I need to take this into the Genius bar or wait for ios 7 in hopes that it will fix the glitch. Thanks again for your help.

Okay, that means with the latest iOS software, it requires the latest version of iTunes on the computer. Which computer OS platform are you using. Now you are saying that after downloading the latest version of iTunes that your iPhone is not being recognized by iTunes? Completely different thing, and the iTunes on the iPhone has nothing to do with that anyway. The iTunes on the iPhone is just for purchases.
If you are having trouble with the iPhone being recognized by iTunes, use the appropriate link for your computer OS for assistance.

An app I downloaded is no longer showing up on my screen. The app store shows thar it needs to be updated, but the update bottom is colored light, not dark.

I have a 2010 Mac Mini running Yosemite and Server which I use
as a headless home server.
I have is set up to allow screen sharing and can connect to it and
control it with my iMac, Macbook Pro, iPhone, and a 2011 Mini Server
that I use as an HTPC.

I have iTunes Home Sharing set up on it and have my entire iTunes
library on it. I can then use any of my Macs to play Movies or Songs
from it and only keep locally a select subset of that on my individual
devices.
Rather than and update server, I utilize Server's Caching Service. The caching
server will duplicate any update download (system or MacApp Store purchases)
any time a device that is connected to my network down loads one. The update will
then be stored locally and all other devices will download the update from it which
can be faster than from Apple directly. This has the advantage of only having to download
once with limited bandwidth internet connections. There is also an Update Server service
available, but it is some what more involved in setting up. However, it will download
and store all available updates.
There is another thing as well if you do not care for syncing things like Contacts, Calendar, etc.
to iCloud, you can set Server up to sync these items across devices locally.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
If you have a PPC Mac you cannot sync your idevice without a newer computer. See the end of this post for options.
If it says you have an Intel Mac you can upgrade to Snow Leopard, but check system requirements first:

There's been a problem with this all day. Seems to be a server problem - wait a day and try again, or use itunes on the computer to update, that works.
