iCal is working fine in local on my iMac, I have 10 different calenders but only 2 are sync on iPod Touch!!
I have try everything possible: stop me.com sync; delete and reinstall iCal; force to delete and re-sync Calenders on IPod touch via iTunes. I have even asked for help to some experts in Apple Centers... no solutions
Please HELP

OK SOlution from MobileMe.com CHAT

  • Ical not syncing after me change over

After me shut down my calanders do not sync with iCloud. Still running snow leopard.

    Margie,
Have a look at this previous post and see if anything in it helps you

    Also,
In iTunes - Device - Info - Sync iCal Calendars
Do you have the check box set for 'Do not sync events older than ... days'
I have set mine to 30 days, but that's my preference.
And also in iTunes - Device - Info - Advance, at the bottom of the window, if you tick the Calendars here, the phone's calendars will be replaced with iCal's on you mac.
You will loose any changes you have made on the iPhone that haven't sync'ed, but it may get the conflicts resolved and get you up and running again.

  • Not syncing after Leopard install

I just upgraded my black MacBook to 10.5.1. Now, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPod Touch. It appears to be charging, but not syncing.

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Not sure why but you need to re-install iTunes 7.6 after installing Leopard. This seems to work for most people.

  • USB Flash Disk does not mount after Leopard Upgrade

I am not able to use my USB flash disk after the upgrade to Leopard. The disk does not mount at all, though i can see it listed in the System Profiler.
Before the upgrade to Leopard, the same disk used to work perfectly.
Can anyone please tell me how I can solve this issue ?
    Thanks.

Check to see if your USB Drive has the latest firmware. Leopard tends not to support older firmware.

  • Console not logging after Leopard upgrade

    Hi everyone
I've had a number of problems after the Leopard upgrade, the most serious of which is not being able to get my POP mail (separate post in the Mail and Address Book forum), but I'm also puzzled as to why Console.app isn't logging "console" anymore.
Other logs continue to add data, including the SpamSieve log and crash logs, but "console" only goes up to when I upgraded to Leopard, three days ago: it says nothing after that point, despite several restarts.
There are older "console" logs, but none newer than that date.
I'd like it working, because it's such an important part of checking and fixing things.
I have no idea why it is not logging: your suggestions are most welcome.

It is working, but in a different way.
Everything gets written to a Log Database these days, and the messages that would previously gone to the old console.log appear there as "Console Messages" under "Log Database Queries" in Console.app.
system.log is unusual in that it still exists although everything written there also goes to the database. However I think you'll find that every console message also goes to system.log (but not vice-versa).
The only reason you have "older console logs" is because you did either an Upgrade or an Archive & Instal. I did an Erase & Instal and there are no console logs.

  • Photoshop 7.0 not opening after Leopard upgrade

Several months back I upgraded to Leopard and had that login & keychain update error which is now fixed. However for some reason after the upgrade I am unable to open my Photoshop 7.0. Has anyone else had problems opening existing programs before the upgrade? And if so, how did you fix it? Or should I just try to re-install the Photoshop from the CD?
    Thanks, Christie

Which upgrade caused this to happen? There have been quite a few since 10.5.1.
I would also check with Adobe for any updates.

  • IPod classic will not sync after iTunes upgrade

After upgrading to the latest version of iTunes - 10.6.1.7 - yesterday,  my iPod classic is not recognized and I cannot sync it.
The iPod does appear as a drive on my computer (with Windows XP).  The screen message on the iPod states that it is synching with iTunes, the iTunes message states it is synching with the iPod - but the iPod does not download anything new from iTunes and it does not appear as a device on iTunes.
I've gone through the steps for troubleshooting; I've tried syncing the iPod on two different computers - unfortunately both of which have been upgraded to the latest version of iTunes - with the exact same results.
It worked fine before I upgraded iTunes and I'm at a loss on how to fix this.  Is there some way to uninstall the upgrade and reinstall the old version?
Suggestions are most welcome.  Thanks much.

I am also having this problem. I have a 160gb classic that I bought last fall. I have a work computer I've used for my iTunes synch base due to broadband access.  The system had worked well enough with 64 bit XP and a few registration tweaks to calm itunes about working in that old environment. Forward to 2 weeks ago - I copy my library to the network drive so that IT can scrub the computer and upgrade me to Win 7. Computer is back up, install the newest version if iTunes, seems to come up fine. Several rounds of re-importing the library after it kept entering all the songs twice. Go to re-synch the ipod - get the 'this is a new device, erase *EVERYTHING* and re-synch. Yep yep. Sits there for nearly two hours saying it's re-uploading stuff. Then on the way home, I see - hey, a ton of stuff isn't there, lots of missing podcasts. Go check, everything is checked, new stuff downloaded, can listen to it on the PC with headphones. Then go synch the iPod - get the same 'things are updating..... synch finished'. And nothing has up- or down-loaded. Tried unchecking stuff, nada. Import new stuff, nada. Nothing   Plus it looks like pretty much every CD i ripped into itunes for the past 4-5 months failed to move - maybe iTunes was saving it somewhere else than the My Music folder.    PITA-factor of that aside, I'd really like to get at the last 3-4 weeks of podcasts. Any help on getting the system to actually do a real sy
My other changes in the last few weeks are getting a new iPhone to replace an old non-iPhone, so there is another devicee on the account. I don't see my iPod listed amongst my devices in the iTunes store - not sure if that's only for wireless stuff.
    Help!!

  • Dvd player does not work after Leopard upgrade

I installed Leopard, had to upgrade because my printer died and no printers now work with Tiger.  Since the upgrade, my DVD player does not work.  I have problems burning some cd's too.  Is this a known issue?  What is the fix?

I have read a couple of complaints like that, but not sure it's widespread.
At this point I think you should get Applejack...
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15667/applejack
After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
    Correct any Disk problems.
    Repair Permissions.
    Clear out Cache Files.
    Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
    Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.
If that does NOT help, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
    Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
If that does NOT help then I suspect the optical drive or media itself, or possibly just needs a cleaning CD run on it.

  • IPhone will not sync after OSX upgrade

I have a iPhone 3GS (iOS 5.1) which I bought at the same time as a MacBook Pro.  Last week I upgraded the operating system on the laptop to OS 10.9.4 (Maverick).  I have had a heap of minor issues of things not working as they used to, but I have now discovered that the phone isn't synching.  Nor is it sending an error message - it just exits the sync program.
I bought all Apple gear because I believed that I would avoid this problem.  What has gone wrong?

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the
computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager
screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Reinstall the 10.9.4 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update (Combo).
    4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
Reinstall the 10.9.4 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 Update (Combo).

  • Airport card "not found" after Leopard upgrade

This may be an unrelated fluke, but it seems quite odd.
After a client upgraded to Leopard, her Airport card is suddenly not seen by the computer. I have reseated the card, but get the same result. It doesn't show up in system profiler, either.
Was curious as to whether anyone had seen this, or similar symptoms, before I grab a replacement card to see if that is in fact the problem.

I have the exact same problem. I do not have a macfixit account.
I expect the information I need to repair a a bad update from Apple would be on the Apple Discussions forum.
Is there any way I can get this information without having to spend $24?

  • Canon LBP5000 does not work after Leopard Upgrade

    Hi all,
We have a Canon LBP5000 that is directly connected to one of our iMac's and worked like a charm when we were using Tiger. After upgrading to Leopard, everything went weird. It is still installed but when we tried printing, we get a 'Load Paper' warning from the printer. After checking to make sure that the default paper was all in A4 format it still wouldn't print. We then tried hooking it up to an Airport Express to share and while trying to add it via Bonjour, an Error 9672. We're seriously looking at getting a new clour laser printer that works with Leopard as at this point in time, there is yet to be found a driver from Canon that works with Leopard. Any suggestions of colour laser printers that work with Leopard or solutions to our problems ?

    Hi Donny/PJB,
I did look and googled the drivers but the European site has outdated ones. We were actually using Japanese drivers CAPT (Ver. 1.60) for Tiger but it doesn't work now for Leopard. PJB, thanks for pointing out your post and I had a run through the Japanese site but it's all in Japanese
Anyway, I basically used common sense and updated the CAPT to (Ver. 1.61) but it still doesn't work after installing it. Every time I try to print or so a test print, the progress went Printing to Stopped.
When we click Resume it doesn't do anything and after 4 clicks, there was a short 'Fatal: Failed to load module' message pops up in the Print Queue dialog box. Has anyone actually have a Canon LBP 5000 printer that has worked with Leopard ? That is my question really...sigh.

  • USB HD not connecting after Leopard upgrade

I just upgraded to Leopard (10.5.4) last night and was going to set up Time Machine with my USB HD that is connected to my Airport Extreme Base Station (7.3.2 firmware, 5.3.2 Utility), but the drive no longer automatically connects when I turn it on. I know there was a recent firmware update or 10.5.x release that enabled that feature, and not just Time Capsule, for Time Machine backups. What am I doing wrong?

You ever figure it out? I just upgraded to leopard ( actually got a whole new macbook ) and now I am trying to get used to a few new things. My external HD connected to my Airport Extreme is no longer automounting with this leopard 10.5.5 computer. It will also not show up under the devices in the side bar.
    Thanks

  • IPhoto not present after Leopard upgrade

iMac upgrade to Leopard fails to install iPhoto
Did an upgrade with format old data. Install appeared to be completed successfully. Went to import some photos and iPhoto was not present. Had installed the iWork suite as well and was under the impression iPhoto was on the OS disk.
Any ideas why it is not present and how to install? Attempted download install and said not previous versions detected, aborted.
    Thanks for reply / help.

reinstalled iLife08 and both iPhoto and iMovie icons came up on the bar. Appears to be there now and opens. CD looks fine but hearing a nice hum when installing like an abnormal spinning of the hardware.
Thanks for the update. If you know of any issues with the original iMax core duo white, drop me a note as I do not believe it something tied to hardware and not the disk. The disk is a family pack upgrade and have never had the problem on another machine....
Good day and thanks for the thread.

  • Notes problem after Mavericks upgrade

Notes will not sync after Mavericks upgrade, other apps - mail & contacts & calendar do sync

First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone'  or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

  • IMovie quits after leopard upgrade

iMovie'08 just does not open after leopard upgrade. It says application quit unexpectedly.
    Any ideas what to do?

I too seem to have the same problem. Am running OS 10.5.6 and just will not stay open. Have tried to find the iMovie preference file and there's nothing there which could be the problem.
I too am wondering what I can do???
