Ical office 365 delegate calendar view

Hi
People in my company have combination Mavericks 10.9.5 and Office 365 small business.
We are using Exchange sync account.
People share calendars (read only) and some users have own calendar and about 15 calendars other colleagues (from delegation).Plus some Google, iCal etc calendars.
Mostly happens that when user have selected own calendar, 2-3 other people in iCal  then after restart/sleep Mac show iCal ALL calendars after.
People are very angry becouse thay have to change selected calendar
Is it some way to fix selected calendars ?
Thanks

I've been battling this ever since upgrading to Mountain Lion. One moment I can fiddle with it and it works. The next day, it may quit syncing. Or, it may go a month or two before melting down again. It's driving me nearly insane. Apple truly needs to address this. Outlook is a dog with fleas that can't hunt for crap. I loaded it in desperation. It *****. Please Apple, fix iCal syncing to Exchange!

  • Ical office 365

Using Moutain Lion (OS X 10.8.2), I'm having connection errors all of the time connecting iCal to my Office 365 MS Exchange calendar. I specifically stopped using MS Outlook becuase I like using Mail and iCal. However, 9 times out of 10 when opening iCal I get an error indicating that a connection to the server can't be made. I can connect to it from my iPhone and from Outlook or the Office 365 web interface. Anyone else having similar issues?

  • ICal opens with Delegate Calendar

I made a few changes to my iCal installation, trying to retrieve some Exchange calendars that I have shared access to and get my calendar colors to match on my iPad and iPhone.  Now when I open iCal, it defaults to a shared Google calendar, rather than my main calendar view.  What did I change, and how can I change it back?  I've already tried closing the program with the main calendar view open, no change on the next open.

Found my own solution right after posting my question...I selected my delegate calendar from the window menu, and simply "closed" it.  Now iCal opens with the main calendar view.

  • Best practices for office 365 SHARED CALENDAR for whole school / organization

    hi
we need guidance on best practice for setting up SHARED CALENDAR on Office365 exchange server for entire organization (school)of150 staff.
    Requirements
+ all staff should have read only / reviewer permissions on calendar
+handful staff should have editor permissions on calendar
+ the calendar should synchronise custom categories and colors
    Current Solution
    at the moment we have found that a shared mailbox is the best solution because;
    - allusers can add the shared mailbox on outlook 2010as additional mailbox as readonly
    - all the categories & colors for the calendarare automatically synchronised because the color categories are stored within this mailbox.
    - you can edit calendar permissions in outlook to allow some users as "editor" of the calendar.Problem with Current Solution
the problem however is that the users also need to access this...

    Hi Aleksei,
I think Inactive mailboxes in Exchange Online is the feature that you want. This feature makes it possible for you to preserve (store and archive) the contents of deleted mailboxes indefinitely.
A mailbox becomes inactive when an In-Place Hold or a
Litigation Hold is placed on the mailbox before the corresponding Office 365 user account is deleted.
But I'm afraid that it might be impossible to "easily share certain folders or even whole mailbox with people in the company". As can been seen from below articles, this only allows administrators, compliance officers, or records managers
to use the In-Place eDiscovery feature in Exchange Online to access and search the contents of an inactive mailbox:

  • Problems with Calendar.App in Mavericks syncing to Office 365

About three weeks ago, my 10.9 OSX Calendar application stopped showing any calendar events for the sync'd Exchange account, my corporate e-mail account hosted in Microsoft Office 365.
I have confirmed that Outlook for Mac 2011 and also Outlook on PC (in Fusion) both work correctly, also I've checked with another Exchange service and it appears to sync ok.  So it's something specific to the hosted Exchange environment, however as it's a cloud service my support options are highly limited.
I was hoping someone might have an idea on how to progress this further, here are some details of the path I've walked.
1 - Un-checked the Calendar option in the Internet Accounts Section, reboot, start Calendar, let it sit for a while and re-enable.
         No luck, tried several times
2 - Removed the whole Exchange account, re-booted and re-added
         No luck, tried several times
3 - Tried starting to remove caches and other temp files as per other suggestions
         No luck
4 - Took drastic action and re-installed Mavericks from scratch
No luck, exactly the same issue
5 - Tried removing all calendar events from my calendar, disable calendar and re-enable calendar
No luck, exactly the same issue
The other gmail account that I sync with works just fine, as did my Exchange account up until a few weeks back, would be wonderful to know what has happened.
Here is a log file extract that is somewhat interesting, however of no value that I can find at all sadly.

It turns out that I may have not waited enough time for the wipe of all of my existing calendar appointments to sync through.
I created a few more in outlook, deleted them, checked via the office 365 web calendar they were deleted.
Then I waited another 15 minutes, created the Exchange/Office365 account from scratch, and magic I appear to be back!
(until something else goes wrong that is)

  • Office 365 BI vs. SharePoint 2013 on premise BI - are new updates going to O365 only/first?

With some of the more recent blog posts I've seen there seems to be talk of a trend where new fixes/changes/enhancements to PowerView/Power BI, etc... are going to happen in Office 365 but may not be happening for SharePoint on premise.
Does anyone have any more details on this or have they heard similar?
I've seen the Power BI blog talking about new releases and enhancements each month, which I assume SharePoint PowerView is not getting those enhancements?

Thank you that does help clear up a few things.
However, I still don't fully understand some of the "duplication" of things?
    For example:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/power-view-explore-visualize-and-present-your-data-HA102835634.aspx?CTT=5&origin=HA104103581
That talks about Power BI :
"Power View has new features, as part of Power BI for Office 365:
Create Power View sheets in Excel and then view them in the Power BI Windows Store app.
View Power View in Excel sheets in your browser, without installing Silverlight. Read about the supported features of the HTML5 version of Power View.
Read the Power BI Getting Started Guide."
Will those same new features be in those bi-monthly SQL Server CU releases?
(that may not be the best example, but on the Power BI blog they talk about various new features/enhancements, etc...)
Perhaps I am just confused by the shared name of Power View in Office 365 and SharePoint?

  • API for office 365

    Hi,
I'm looking to access Office 365 mail, calendar, contacts.
Is there are REST API available for this?
I found I can use SOAP, but when authenticating against https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx I'm not getting anything.
Is there anything specific settings in Office 365 that needs to be enabled? I'm not developing an app for office 365. Simply want to push and pull data from Office 365 using stateless web calls without library. For reference I'm using Python.
I appreciate any help or references. Thanks!
    Andrew

    HI, thanks for the response.
I just have one question, maybe you can help me out with, I would really appreciate it.
Do I have to setup a special account such as an app developer account or is web authentication via the Office 365 user and password sufficient?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Shared Office 365 calendars not showing up in iCal

We are using Microsoft's Office 365 and have users with a variety of devices and applications (Mac/iCal/Mail, Windows/Outlook, iPhone, Android, etc.).
I am the administrator of the Exchange accounts. I have created four calendars that are viewable by everyone within our organization (just general "company-wide calendars").
Users with Outlook are able to view those shared calendars just fine. However, I'm not able to add the shared calendars with users using iCal.
If I add them as a delegate, they can see all my calendars, but if I just share the calendar, they get a "no access" error.
Here's where I'm setting the shared calendar permissions. I've tried setting them as Reviewer, setting the Default as Reviewer, and setting them as Owner.
Because it works fine in Outlook, I'm wondering if it's an iCal problem. For cross-referencing purposes, here's my issue at Office 365's community: Shared calendars not showing up in Apple iCal

Hi All, after much trial and tribulation, this works for me on BusyCal. It is an app you can get on the apple store.
Calendar should be created then shared with the busycal user. The link does not work, but add exchange account as you would on  Mac Calendar under preference>accounts. The go to the sharing tab and  click plus and type in email of person who shared calendar. It will auto populate. For some reason it does not work under delegation in Mac Calendar
The  key and where I spent 4 days on the phone with apple and office 365, is  that the owner of the calendar has to share their calendar, named  :"calendar" They can just click the permission "show availability only."  Once they do that, any other calendars they have created and added you  as full permissions or details, you can see. I see nothing on their  calendar called "calendar"  Not the perfect solution, but it works. BusyCal is $30

  • Viewing Office 365 Calendar entries on Z10

Hi I have a Z10 connected to Office 365. When I made the connection I could sync email calendar, notes etc. I have lost the ability to see appointments in the calendar function in the phone. I can see appointments in the hub for that day.  I can also see appointments in a subsidiary calendar tied to my MS email account giving birthdays but nothing in my primary business calendar in the calendar app, only in the hub.. I can enter appointments in the calendar app in the phone and they appear in Office 365 but the calendar app in the phone shows no appointments including the one I just entered. The Calendar worked with my primary business calendar and the birthday calendar to begin with and then the business calendar disappeared with me making no changes that I am aware of, while the birthday calendar continues to show.   How do I get my business calendar to show in the calendar app as well as the Hub while continuing to sync with Office 365

    Hi DT655,
Thanks for your reply.  Since my original post I have upgraded and subscribed to Office 365 Midsize Business.  All has gone well, everything has been migrated over and all has been synced correctly.
Except my BlackBerry Z10 where Calendar syncs everything going forward, but only three months back.  My BB PlayBook is the same (only three months back).  However, my desktop and iPads sync all events going back many years.
I have followed your instructions by deleting my old e-mail accounts on both my Z10 and my PlayBook and reinstalled them using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, but it is still the same - only three months back on both BB devices.
As my other devices sync all events going back many years, and as there used to be an option within the old BB Desktop Manager to sync All Events, I am sure the restriction I now have must be a BB issue and not an Office 365 issue.  Do you agree, and do you know where I can get to some settings that allow me to change the three month default?
    Thanks.

  • How to display MS Outlook calendar of a user exactly in Office 365 SharePoint site calendar?

    Hi,
I just followed the below article for getting my whole calendar events into my SharePoint Office 365 site's calendar.
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/83366/view-outlook-calendar-in-sharepoint-2013
But I get the below error.
The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Basic Realm=""'. (830fe69c-407a-0000-24b4-502420637d1c)
Any ideas how to achieve my requirement?
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi,
From your description, I know you want to use calendar overlay with exchange online in SharePoint online.

  • Office 365 calendars not showing

I'm running Version 8.0 (2032.6.1) of iCal on Yosemite. My main calendar is hosted on Office 365.
There was a problem with duplicated entries in the calendar, which actually meant that iCal would crash on startup. I fixed that by deleting the duplicates with temporary access to the Windows version of Outlook. As part of trying to get iCal to work again, after the repair of the calendar, I removed the various caches and .plist files, as recommended on various sites. Now, I'm in a slightly strange state in that the Exchange (Office 365) account isn't listed in the iCal list of accounts, and entries for that calendar are not showing, it is still in some way connected, because the application icon shows the number of outstanding entries.
What is the best way of restoring visibility of the Office 365 calendar in iCal?
I've tried deleting and re-adding this account, but it hasn't helped.

  • Office 365: Prgramtically sync Calendar with SharePoint team site calendar

    Hello everyone,
I need to sync office 365 Calendar with SharePoint team sites Calendars. We have SharePoint online site which having multiple sub sites, each sub site has a calendar control and we need calendar controls need to be sync with the outlook calendar available
on top bar of office 365.
We need to do it programmatically as we have more then 200 hundred sub sites, please guide me on this that how it is possible using developer app or PowerShell commands.

I think it might help to clarify what you mean. When you say "Office 365 Calendar", what you really mean is the Calendar associated with whomever is logged in, stored in Exchange. When you see the "Calendar" link in the little bar at the top of the page,
that's actually just a link to the Outlook Web Access calendar for a particular user's calendar stored in the Office 365 Exchange server. It's exactly the same calendar that would show up if a user had Outlook installed on their local computer and opened it
up and looked at the calendar.
That being said, you aren't going to want to synch every calendar in your whole SharePoint site with a single user's calendar. I think there are a couple approaches for you:
Create a calendar overlay in SharePoint, which displays other calendars on the current calendar view. Unfortunately, there's a limit as to how many calendars you can do this for, it's far less than 200.
Allow users to create calendar overalys in Outlook. This is the same idea as what you're doing in SharePoint, except users are doing this within Outlook. Again, adding 200 overlays isn't practical.
You can try creating an additional company calendar in Exchange that's not tied to a particular user, but then you'll have to run a timer job to keep the Outlook calendar in synch with the SharePoint calendar. This is a lot more cumbersome than just displaying
the SharePoint calendar, since you're physically copying events over to the Outlook calendar. If you do that, you personally are responsible for keeping the two calendars synched up, rather than just displaying an Exchange calendar in SharePoint, or displaying
    a SharePoint calendar in Outlook.
You might looking into third party tools such as
http://www.boostsolutions.com/calendar-rollup-feature-list.html. (I haven't tried that product, it just looks like it might be the type of thing to check out.
If I have any advice, I would recommend as much as possible creating views of calendars, not actually trying to synch data, unless you're doing a one-way synch. (Synching calendar data can be a little bit difficult because you have reoccurring events to
    take into account.)

  • Is delegation of a calendar possible on using Office 365 and any client whatsoever on Mac?

I am looking for any way for OS X users to use Office 365's exchange calendaring service to delegate / share a calendar with another user on Office 365.
I have researched the MS knowledge base which states that for delegation, you need both an Exchange server (which I presume Office 365 is) and either Outlook 2010 or 2013 - neither of which run on OS X. If I have to, I could get to these software to temporarily
sign in and set up the delegation, but I don't want to run Windows day in and day out and need a native OS X solution.
Short of running Windows virtually day to day, can OS X users use delegation features of Office 365?

I am looking for any way for OS X users to use Office 365's exchange calendaring service to delegate / share a calendar with another user on Office 365.
    This article should help:
    https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Add-and-manage-your-delegates-e250ea79-755d-463f-a506-31f55092338b
But... I'd expect that this will only work if both the mailboxes are within the same O365 tenant (since delegation is really a backend-server feature, which requires a common security/directory, and that's only possible within a single tenant, and not across
    tenants AFAIK)
For the hosted/webservice aspects of O365, the dedicated O365 forums are best:
