ICal on iMac does not sync with iCloud

Just switched over to iCloud but I can't get iCal on the iMac to sync with iCloud. iPhone and iPad work fine. Is there a fix?

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Calendar does not sync with iCloud

I have an iPhone 4S with the latest iOS. A month ago I started a brand new iCloud calendar (every other were deleted). It was working fine, when I launched the app, it synced in 2-3 seconds. But a few days ago it does not sync with iCloud, there is the running circle in the upper line and nothing happens. The interesting thing is when I try it with Wi-Fi, it works, albeit really slowly, under one minute. I did not change any setup. Has anybody an idea?

    Hi Firend,
In my Calendars app, I selected all calendars to be shown. In Settings, Calendars settings are set: New invitation is turned on, Sync is turn all events on, and Calendar Default is set Calendar From My PC.
It is working well for long time.
    Hope it will be helpful

  • Ical on iphone does not sync with ical on mac, but the mac does it!

My ical on my iphone does not sync with ical on mac using MobileMe, but reverse it works very well.
so typing an new event in ical on my phone will NOT appear in ical at my computer. Typing a new event on my mac, than within 10 seconds it appears on my phone.
anybody know how to resolve this? never had the problem before
problem 2: ical on my iphone seems to duplicate a lot of events. Non of them are duplicated on my computer.
    related problem?
    thank

I have solved my problem - don't know if yours is the same. I noticed on iPhone, when I listed the calendars there are two sections: the top line showed "All Calendars ->"; when I click on that I get duplicate entries for everything.
    Below that is:
    "From My Mac.
"All from My Mac ->", followed by a list of individual calendars. When I clicked on that I got single entries.
This led me to realize that in my Settings ->Accounts I had the old "...mac.com" a/c and new "..me.com" a/c. I had thought it didn't matter.
Once I eliminated the "mac.com" A/c, I had only one set of calendars.
    Hope this helps you.

    Hi Daniel Stonek,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  If your iPhone's calendar events are not syncing properly to other devices, I would use the iOS section of this article to troubleshoot:

  • ICal does not sync with iCloud

Is there some sort preference .plist or something like that that can be used to reset the iCal sync process?
For the last month or two I`ve had major problems getting my iCal on iMac to sync properly to iCloud. A couple of weeks ago I suddenly had a couple of days where everything was working like it was supposed to without me having changed anything, but the joy only lasted for a couple of days.
Right now iCal just reads "updating" (well, in Norwegian) in the header, and iCal events does not update to iCloud. And it´s been frozen like that for more than a week.
Neither does it recieve update from iCloud. That is, events that I change on my iPhone.
I have nothing but calendars that are on iCloud (none which are only on my iMac). Some of the calendars are also exported to other users.
    - I´ve checked that I´m logged in in the iCloud system pref´s.
    - I´ve gone thorugh every calendar and clicked on "update" to try to force a change. Without improvement.
    - Strange thing is that also my MacBook Pro gives me the exact same behaviour.
Both my iMac and MBP is OSX 10.7.5.
    Is this an iCloud bug?
    Anybody else seeing this?
    Any suggestions?

Check Settings>iCloud, be sure Calendars is set to On.  Also check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar, be sure you choose the calendar under your me.com address (not On My iPhone).

  • I just changed my password for I tunes and now my I pad does not sync with iCloud

I changed my password for Itunes on my Imac and now my Calendar does not sync on my Ipad.  Any ideas on how to get them in sync again?

I am not sure that you changed the correct password, online credintials usually are seperate/different from wifi ones. Please check the quidelines on http://ee.co.uk/help/phones-and-device/ee/EE-Osprey-2-mini to see how to solutions. I hope this helps.

I am experiencing the same problem.  The error message appears when iCal is open.  The iPod (ios 6.1.3) and iPad (ios 7.0.2) seem to play well with each other and when I enter an event on either one it pushes to my iMac (10.8.5).   But when I enter an event on the iMac it does not push it to the devices.  This message pops up repeatedly on the imac:
The server responded with an error.

  • ICal on iPad does not sync with other idevices

I am using iCal on my iPad2, iPhone 4S, MacBook Air and iMac. The two computers are running Lion 10.7.2. All iCals sync perfectly, except the iPad. If I make a calendar entry on the iPad2 it does not go out to any of the other devices. An iCal entry on the other devices go out to the iPad with no problem. For some reason, under Settings/General/Mail, Contacts and Calendars, I have four calendars: MobileMe Calendar and Inbox, and [email protected] Calendar and Inbox. The default I have set is MobileMe Calendar but it doesn't seem to make any difference as far as being able to sync with this iPad. Any ideas appreciated.

  • PhotoStream does not sync with iCloud

I have an interesting problem with iCloud PhotoStream, and I need help!
I have my iPhone 5, which have been worked well, until I changed my Apple ID (new e-mail adress) Now, the photostream does not work. I see my photos in the photo stream album on my device, but my iCloud still has the 5GB storage of 5GB, so there is nothing, not even my photos. Beside, on my PC, iCloud control panel doesn't sync my phot as well. What should I do in order to be able to use the photostream again?
I tried to turn off and on the photostream, log out from my device and so on.

Not sure what you mean, have you tried switching from Photo Stream view to Album viw and back again.

  • Numbers 2.0 does not sync with icloud

IPhone using ios 7.04 and Numbers 2.0.  MacBook Pro using Numbers 3.0.  Four days ago my iPhone stopped syncing Numbers spreadsheets with iCloud.  The same happened to Pages documents.  I have run all the community suggestions, I have reset the documents in icloud.  On my iPhone I can go to iCloud>Manage Accounts and see my documents sitting there.  So I decided to delete the Numbers app and reinstall.  I lost 2 spreadsheets on the iPhone.  It kept one????

  • Playlist does not sync with icloud

i sorted my playlist by "kind" and I have x types of files in it: AAC Audio files, MPEG audio files, Protected AAC audio files, and Purchased AAC audio files. However iCloud is telling me that "the playlist is not eligible for iCloud" because 'iCloud playlists can only contain music. Playlist contains other media types and will not be uploaded.  HELP!
Which of the four types of audio files does icloud not like???????
When I first went iCloud, it uploaded the playlist flawlessly and i was able to access it on my iPhone. But now that it no longer uploads the playlist, i cannot get it on my iPhone.
Any ideas would be helpfull. I will gladly delete those files having issues but I just dont know what files it is having issues with.
    thanks

I read in another post that all I had to do was to go to iTunes, sign out of your id, and then relog back into the id, and then turn iTunes Match back on.  Thanks Forum!!!
