ICal on iMac isn't syncing with iCloud-400 error

iCal is giving me the following error only on iMac, iCal is syncing with my iPhone and iPad, but not iMac. Help!  I run a small business and the iMac is my main work station, all of our people subscribe to this iCal.  I hope there's a way to fix this
"The request for account “iCloud” failed.  The server responded with “400” to operation CalDAVUpdateShareesQueuableOperation."

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Just switched over to iCloud but I can't get iCal on the iMac to sync with iCloud. iPhone and iPad work fine. Is there a fix?

  • Cannot sync iCal on iMac (10.5.8) with iCloud.

Basically, when I put in iCal events, it doesn't sync up to my iPhone 5.  I don't use Gmail, so I thought the easiest way to sync the devices would be through iCloud.  I've checked all of my sync options on the iPhone and they're all on.
Keep getting "Account information not found": Request to the server http://www.icloud.com/principals/users/'user_name'/ failed (code 30). I go into iCal > Preferences >  Accounts > + > put in my iCloud user name and password and enter "www.icloud.com" under "Server Options"/"Account URL:".  I also hit the "Use Kerberos v5 for authentication" button.  I've tried a bunch of different combinations and none of them seem to work.  Please help!

Yes, 10.5.8.  Is there another way to add in an account to sync my calendars then?  I use a Yahoo account.

  • IMAC WILL NOT SYNC WITH ICLOUD

I am experiencing the same problem.  The error message appears when iCal is open.  The iPod (ios 6.1.3) and iPad (ios 7.0.2) seem to play well with each other and when I enter an event on either one it pushes to my iMac (10.8.5).   But when I enter an event on the iMac it does not push it to the devices.  This message pops up repeatedly on the imac:
The server responded with an error.

  • How do you get iCal on Snow Leopard to sync with iCloud

My wife has a slightly older intel based iMac running Snow Leopard.  The machine is too old for Lion.  The family has been a long time user of MobileMe and we updated to iCloud when it was released.  This seems to have created a problem with iCal, which can't connect to an appropriate server.  I've tried two different servers that I have found mentioned in forums.
    p06-caldav.icloud.com
    caldav.icloud.com
Neither of these worked.  Does anyone know what the correct server is?  Or has Apple intentially screwed us by deliberately making it incompatible?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
    Rick

Officially you can't sync calendars on Snow Leopard, but there are unofficial workarounds. In addition to the correct server address, you also need the dedicated number for your account.

  • My iMac desktop is not syncing with iCloud.  Any suggestions?

All of a sudden, my iMac Desktop stopped syncing with iCloud.  My mail, notes, etc.  Have logged off, deleted the account and tried to start over, but to no avail.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  BTW, it syncs with my iPhone and iPad, just NOT with my Mac Desktop.

    Hello, John!
I see that you are not having and issue with the syncing between your computer and iCloud.  So we would need to look into the device settings to make sure all settings mirror what is set in the iCloud Control Panel.  I have included a couple articles that will assist you in troubleshooting your iPhone 5.  See the sections in the articles below referring to your iOS devices.

  • If I delete photos on my Iphone or Ipad, are they also deleted from Icloud and other devices which are synced with Icloud?

I have a number of photos on my Ipad and/or Iphone, and I have synced them with Icloud (my IMac is also synced with Icloud). I know that I can choose to synch directly with my IMac instead of with Icloud, but I would like to know what happens to the photos if I delete them from my Ipad/Iphone? I want to delete photos and movies to make more room on the devices.
I have not selected automatic syncing with Icloud for my photos.
I assume that the photos remain in Icloud until I go to Icloud to delete, but does anyone know how that is supposed to work?
    Thanks

Remember that you should not store photos on iCloud. It's time and capacity limited. It holds up to 1,000 photos for no more than 30 days. So, import  no. 1001 and the first one is dumped. Leave them untouched and they will be deleted from iCloud after 30 days.
You can't delete individual photos from iCloud (only reset the whole thing) so trashing from a device will not trash from iCloud.

  • My iMac and MacBook Calendar will no longer sync with iCloud.  I don't understand why?

All of the sudden about 10 days ago, I noticed that when I asked to refresh my calendar, that it just hangs on both my iMac and my MacBook.  And neither are syncing with iCloud calendar.  I'm not certain if my iphone calendar is synching or not because nothing is getting transferred to my iMac or MacBook.
The system status says all is OK.  My iCloud is still turned on for both computers.  So I'm not sure what to do next.

Yes.  iCloud on the web is correct although the latest stuff I added to my MacBook is not showing up because it won't sync.
In System Preferences iCloud is selected and they are turned on on both machines as always.
There are no other calendars linked to iCal.  I just have a Home, Work, and Birthday and US Holidays all linked in.
I did try something on my MacBook that seemed to work.  I went into System Preferences and turned off Calendars and Reminders in the iCloud setting.  That prompted a message that all of the iCloud iCal data would be removed from the computer.  I made sure the web version was accurate before I did this.  Then I shut down my computer and restarted.  When I restarted I went back into System Preferences and turned on Calendars and Reminders and now it seems to be working.
I'm about to try the same thing on my iMac.
If this works both times, my question then would be what would cause both my iMac and MacBook to disconnect as it seems from iCloud when I hadn't changed anything at all.

  • Macbook air isn't syncing with imac/iphone

i have a macbook air (O SX Lion 10.7.5), an imac (O SX 10.9.1), and an iphone (7.0.6 iOS).   they are all synced using the icloud, but this isn't working properly on the macbook air.
the air receives email like the other two devices, but doesn't show items sent from the other two in its sent box.
the air also doesn't sync the diary at all.
    the contacts sync perfectly well.
trouble is some things are syncing, others aren't.
also i have a real problem with 'notes' on the imac, which makes multiple copies every 10 seconds, and isn't syncing with anything.
notes show up in 'mail' on the macbook air, but in separate 'notes' software on the imac and iphone, which is much preferred to having it in mail.
i wonder if these small glitches are all being caused by the same problem - any ideas anyone?
    thanks very much,
    emma.

Have you checked all your settings.
Have you tried logging out of iCloud and back in again.

That and other issues will happen if one tries to use a unsupported system with new services / software that was never designed for the system in use.
Apple clearly says you need Lion 10.7.2. How on earth can you expect that it would work in 10.6.2 ??

  • ICal not syncing with iCloud or iPhone

    Hi,
I just got a new iPhone today and I am having trouble syncing my iCal to it. Prior to this I did not have an iCloud. I created one on iCloud.com but everything there is blank. The iCal on my laptop is full, but I don't see an option in preferences to sync with iCloud, only something about MobileMe. I don't really understand what I'm suppose to do. I've looked through many different forums about this, but nobody seems to talk about my specific problem. Ideas?
Side question... where is Facetime on the iPhone? I thought it was included, but I can't find it and it's not avilable through the app store.
    Thanks!

    Greetings,
If you are running OS X 10.6 or earlier on your computer you will want to either:
    A. Sync your calendar using the USB cable and NOT use iCloud calendars (as iCloud requires Lion (10.7): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296
    B. Purchase and install Lion assuming your Mac meets the requirements: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4949
If you are running 10.7 on your Mac (Check by going to Apple > About this Mac), reply back and we can suggest how to get the calendars on iCloud.
    To your side question:
While this isn't the iPhone forum, your profile says you are using an iPhone 3G.  FaceTime for iOS is available on iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 S and iPod touch (4th generation): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4319
Hope that information sheds some light.

  • HT1688 I have a new iphone 5. I can not get my contact to sync with icloud on my iMac. I have an msn account for email.

I have an imac with OS X 10.8.2 and an iphone 5. i have AT&T service and msn email account. My contacts and calendar are not syncing with icloud! I have all the settings adjusted correctly and I can not figure out why it won't sync.

iPhones running iOS 6 require iTunes 10.7, which requires OS X 10.6.8 or later. You will have to upgrade OS X, then download the latest version of iTunes.
You can copy your iTunes library to the new machine either manually, or you can use the migration assistant built into OS X to transfer the entire account. Up to 5 computers can be activated using the same iTunes account.

  • ICal on Mac 10.7.4 not reliably syncing with iCloud

The past couple of days I noticed a problem with syncing iCal on my Mac running 10.7.4 with iCloud.
My iPad and iPhone sync with iCloud, and the Reminders sync across all devices without any issues.
I also noticed that if I just try to double click on a date (in the month view), it never creates an event, goes into a sync and then blank events show up on iCloud, but never on my Mac where I was actually trying to create the event?
I have checked for updates and have completely restarted my Mac. I have also tried removing and re-establishing all iCloud connections on my Mac. Reminders and older existing events show up fine, just unable to create new events.
    Ideas?
UPDATE: I was just doing some testing. It only fails on ALL DAY appointments. Appointments created with time ranges sync fine.

Just figured this out. There is a setting under the iCal toolbar View -> Show All Day Events
I have no idea why that would now be turned off, but it was. Ughh - user error.

  • Ical bug: updates to outlook events with iCloud sync do not work

I have a bug that needs to be submitted to Apple Developers. I am not sure that this is the correct forum, but here goes.
I have a calendar that syncs from my Mac to iCloud. If I get a calendar invite from someone using outlook, everything works fine. I accept the invite and it is added to ical (6) and syncs with the iCloud calendar.
Now if I get an update to the invite - especially a change of time, the local version on my mac updates to the changed event. Up to now everything is fine, but as soon as iCal syncs with iCloud, the iCloud server thinks that I am trying to change an event that someone else is the organiser of. It then disallows the update. This in turn pops an error up on my mac - 'The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation'.
I have looked for workarounds/fixes but believe that none exist and that this is a core bug with iCal/iCloud sync and the way it tries to prevent updates to meetings organised by another party.

    Hello vmepani
maybe I can suggest to you a way to circumvent the problem.
Why are you keeping a local Calendar copy under "my Mac"?
I do have my calendar shared through iCloud between my Mac Mountain Lion, the iPhone and the iPad (both alread IOS7) but don't need to keep any local copy of it in neither device. Anyway I'm able to see the calendar on each device even if I'm offline.
That's way I never had the problem you mentioned.
Not sure if this would work for you as well.
    cheers
    gg
