Ical on won't sync

Not sure when but recently it stopped syncing with my calendar on my imac...it says there's no calendar to sync with' then...."error was encountered while syncing calendar".
Calendar is there and syncs fine with mobile me.... I thought I would uninstall the blackberry software and reinstall but can't seem to find how to uninstall the software...ugh.
So, any ideas on how to fix the issue...if need to reinstall the software any tips on uninstalling?

B-Day set up in Address book shows up in iCal but won't sync to iPhone

And it would be my Mothers! I don't sync over air. Always sync through iTunes,, and I have marked "all iCalendars to sync".. I have 3 calendars plus a Birthday's one. I also have a "Birthdays Calendar". After I sync, all the Birthdays EXCEPT this particular one are there. My Birthdays are set up from my Address Book. I presume that is how most of my Birthdays got to appear in the Birthdays Calendar. I can't understand why this particular one doesn't show up. I have deleted the contact (my mother), and re-input, including birthday(obviously), but won't appear still after sync on my iPhone. I did try a separate entry into iCal, adding a Birthday event, and this time, that one showed up after Sync. Can anyone explain, why the separately added on into iCal showed up in my iPhone, and the birthday attached to my address contact in Address book didn't .. or is it a quirk (black hole event).

Let's see, uh, these are shows I downloaded 6 months ago, so I guess the answer is... no? Not so simple?
I looked a lot closer and apparently the shows I bought before are just gone. I went back to the store to repurchase only to be told I already bought them but if I want to I can buy them again. Not redownload but actually repurchase. So no, not so simple.
Something must have gotten corrupted and apparently once that happens then things get squirrly real fast. That's ok, I have an engineering degree and am computer literate. Imagine my mom trying to mess with this? No way.
So no - not nearly simple enough.

Ical update won't sync with macbook

I went ahead and updated to the new ical in MobileMe--seemed like it was necessary. It works fine with my iphone but since update yesterday i get nothing on my laptop. My calendar on my laptop is now empty. Do I have to upgrade my OS (I'm on 10.5.8)? Starting to question whether MobileMe is a waste...

ICal events won't sync from iPad to MacBook Pro

When adding events to iCal via iPad or iPad2 the events will not sync via Cloud to iCal on my MacBook Pro. However, when adding events via the MacBook Pro they appear on both the iPad and iPad 2. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Something like this happened to me before.
Go to the system preferences app to see if iCloud or another account is syncing your calendar. Also do the same thig on the iPad(s). Make sure that the same account (ex: iCloud vs. yahoo) is syncing the calendars on all of the devices.
If that doesn't work go to the"calendars" button o. The top left coner of the iPad screen. Check the calendar the is syncing the calendar on all the devices.

i'm pulling my hair out! my ical just won't sync with my iphone anymore. i wanted to reset sync history as suggested in some forums but lion doesn't have isync anymore.
it is so frustrating as it is supposed to be easy to sync apple products!
any ideas?

Thanks John, you're a star! it's back to normal, it was hours last night resetting my iphone but no luck. I reset my sync services this morning and it works!
Why have Apple made it so difficult to do this, why hide things away? I spent ages looking for my library the other day as that was hidden! Mad!

Yosemite Calendar Won't Sync

Since installing Yosemite, my iCal simply won't sync with the Exchange server. When I try I get endless error messages about being unable to save the entry to the server reverting to the server entry. Strange because the entry is ON the server and I didn't even try to make a change to it in the first **** place. So I got tired of it and simply disconnected the calendar from the Exchange in System Preference. I don't have time to troubleshoot every error in Yosemite since I don't actually work for Apple. I could remove the Exchange server and "reinstall" it, but I have enough of a hard time keeping other stuff working and since Mail is sort of working, I don't want to screw that up. So now I put events on my calendar with my iPad or Blackberry (yep no iPhone here NSA, sorry).
I read on MILO group (if you are an attorney trying to use a Mac in your practice, this group is a must) that the only way to go with Yosemite is simply to wipe and fresh install or else it just wears you down over time with all the little things that slow down/mess up your computer. I just hate to have to go through installing all the apps and preferences all over again, so I will live it it.
After years of bragging about how the mac OS is virus free, secure, and is bulletproof, I'm sure eating a lot of crow. At least Microsoft's latest OS is equally horrific (but those live tiles are starting to grow on me).

i just now updated to 8.1.2 and then tried syncing my iphone 6 plus and it hangs at step 2 calendars…im on os x 10.8.5, itunes 12.0.1.26…will reboot everything again in the morning and see if issue goes away

My ical won't sync with iPhone 4 after IOS 6.0.1 update. The "sync calendars" option is no longer available after I installed this update. Any ideas???I have tried a few times to sync, and nothing has changed on my calendars. I have had so many troubles with this update. Grrr...

I tried the same but it did not worked. But, i got a solution. I accessed gmail on my laptop. Went to gmail settings. There is a option to add a device. A iPhone was already listed. I clicked Revoke to remove it. Then i clicked add new device and gave it iPhone name and a new 16-20 character password was geenrated. I used it to configure gmail on my Iphone and it worked beautifully. So glad i have been able to fix this. That password is a one time password to authenticate that device.

To sync to your iPhone, you need to check iCloud requirements to be sure your iPhone is compatible with iCloud and your iPhone software is up to date.
You also need to make sure iCloud is enabled on the iPhone.
And you need to make sure the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi in order to sync.
For the time difference, be sure the time settings on each device is the same with time zone and daylight saving time the same setting on each.

My problem is that my iCal won't sync from my first-generation iPad to my computer, and the computer sends events multiple times back to the iPad... which is now full of duplicate events. I'm NOT on iCloud.

I'm just an old lady who doesn't know a lot about this stuff, but I do love my iPad and miss my portable calendar! My problem is that my iCal won't sync from my (first-generation, cheaper of the two models) iPad to my computer, and the computer sends events multiple times back to the iPad... which is now full of duplicate events. Yes, I go to Settings>Mail>Gmail. I've deleted the old Gmail account and added it back with the new password. I've also deleted the account, shut down the iPad and iPhone and then re-add the Gmail account with the new password and it still doesn't work for either device. The error messages I get are:
For the iPad: Cannot Connect Using SSL
For the iPhone: The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect.

Entourage 2008 won't sync to iCal since 10.5.3

Since I updated to 10.5.3, Entourage 2008 won't sync to iCal. I've already tried to uncheck the sync option in Entourage preferences and check it again using the "Entourage replaces iCal" option. Contacts seem to sync to address book normally. However, my Exchange calendar in Entourage won't replace iCal items. Both iCal and Exchange calendar in Entourage seem to have merged (which is a big problem for me). After this unfortunate merge, nothing is syncing in one direction or another...
Any help appreciated!

Maybe this could be a better solution. Since the problem is only with Entourage, I did some diggin' and found out that there seems to be a problem with Entourage SyncService-Registration.
The easiest solution is:
1) Switch off syncing in Entourage and quit Entourage, iCal, AddressBook, Mail
2) Kill SyncServer (via ActivityMonitor)
3) Delete contents of Library/Application Support/SyncServices/Local/
4) Start iCal, AddressBook, Mail, Entourage
5) Switch on syncing in Entourage

OK, Mac Pro 2007, Snow Leopard. I can no longer sync ical and other things from mac to iphone. I relied on this every single day. I'm told I may not be able to upgrade to Mountain Lion with my machine. Graphics card was upgraded (ATI Radeon HD 5770) so I could connect a 24" display. The icloud sync is the only reason I want to upgrade. I am so mad they took away manual sync. It will only sync ical via icloud and icloud won't sync this OS.
any suggestions, any way to go back to old itunes, lose icloud, I wouldn't care.

Yes, I got my answer. Apple Support was nice enough to help. Turn off ical on the iclound settings on iphone, then a manual sync to ical is available in itunes, otherwise it's not.

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

iCal won't sync from my MacBook Pro to MobileMe. But MobileMe entries appear on iCal on the MacBook. My iPhone and iPad work fine. Any suggestions?

You are awesome and already a step ahead! The logs are blank, because by default they are off. If its necessary to turn them on the directions on, instructions of how to to this are at the end.
To check if they are both on the updated version, its possible to check by going to accounts.firefox.com to see if you are logged in. If so, both are updated. If not, how to update: sign in at that address to be on the new one.
Toggling the sync may jumpstart it too. Removing the account and adding it back starts a fresh sync, or Tools > Sync Now.
* How do I turn on sync logs:
# Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
# Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
# Logs and error messages will be located here
