ICal only letting me add entries to one calendar

I'm trying to set up multiple calendars for several members of staff but seem to be encountering the same problem on several different computers.
The basic problem is that I can't seem to write entries into any calander other than my default Home calender. I have several calenders available but when I select one from the drop down list and try to write an entry, it automatically jumps back to my default Home calendar.
I have calendars listed as On My Mac, on Exchange and under Delagates in the list, but when I try and add an entry to any of them it will switch to my Home calendar
The only slight workaround I have found for this is if I change the view to show each calendar in a seperate window. But this only works for adding entries to other people's caleldars, not my additional calendars, and still defaults back to their main caledar rather than letting me add entries to their additional calendars
This is really frustrating as I need my staff to have to be able to put entries into two seperate calendars and add stuff to other people's

I tyhink that you need ExportPDF, Adobe ExportPDF (read only). In any case, thius may help: Cancel your membership or subscription | Acrobat.com online services

InDesign CC will only let me place images from one directory

I am a print designer and recently switched from a PC to a MacBook Pro. I'm using InDesign CC and it will only let me place images from one directory. If I try and choose another directory, the Finder window just disappears.

Are you on Mac 10.9? There is an issue on mac 10.9 w.r.t finder window when try to open/pace file in "cover flow view" mode. The finder window dissapears then.
Workaround: Choose Icon View, List View, or Column View

After syncing and updating my iphone my iCalendar on my computer lost most of my information. Including wiping out an entire calendar group. When trying to readd the calendar group it won't let me add events to my calendar under that category.

Select an individual calendar in the calendar list, then create your events or to do items." Any help here would be greatly appreciated! hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Why do I now have to turn on iCloud in order to add entries to my Calendar? I didn't have that limitation before upgrading to IOS 7.1. All of my calendar entries that I had before have also disappeared.

You don't have to turn on iCloud to use the calendar app. Only if you wish to sync to iCloud. However, if it was previously being used, and was turned off, that would cause you to lose those entries on the device. Turning it back on should recover them if they have no been deleted for some reason.
You might also check to make sure all of your calendars are being displayed in the app (Calendar app > Calendars. Check any unchecked calendars to display the content.

CAn I add more than one subscription to my main calendar in ical? I have a google cal I use for work, plus a another schedule i subscribe to. I would like both of those to fill my main ical cal.

I'm not sure how you would merge them without dragging and dropping the events from your separate calendars into the one you want to hold the merged events.
iCloud won't sync calendars from external account such as Google. The easiest thing to do would be to add them to your iOS devices as explained here: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/151674?hl=en&rd=1. They will then appear alongside your iCloud calendar on your iOS devices just as they do on your Mac.

Add more than one calendar

I recently purchased a Z22 in an attempt to organized my many schedules however this lerning curve seems to be a long process! Does anyone know if I can sync more than one calendar? Currently I have 4 separate calendars set up in Outlook and would like to have all the appointments from each on my Z22. Is this possible? Right now it only does one.

1st Gen iPod Nano Will Only Let Me Add One Song At A Time!

Hi. I've got a 1st Gen Nano that has worked fine until recently. Last night, I decided that I wanted to reorganize my library and cleared all the songs off my iPod. I normally maintain my library manually, and have more songs than I do space (I have 4GB), so I wanted to pick and choose the songs I put back on.
I highlighted multiple songs and dragged them over to my iPod, but after three or four, they suddenly stopped transferring. I tried this over and over but the same thing kept happening. Then I tried to automatically sync it just to see what happened and, again, after just a few songs, it simply stopped. (Note that it never froze up or anything.) I shut down, rebooted my laptop and tried yet again -- same thing. I even restored my iPod to factory settings and THAT didn't help.
Apparently, I can only add songs one at a time now -- and I don't get why. I'm wondering if it could be the USB cord? I feel like that could be the issue, yet I wonder if a damaged USB cord would allow any transfers at all...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

No idea what you mean by that. You can not "download iCloud". It's a cloud service. You can sync with iCloud. You can back up to iCloud, you can restore from iCloud. You can store documents on iCloud. You can not "download" iCloud.

ICal Imported Events Don't Appear in One Calendar

Hi,
I'm transferring data off my old Powerbook G4 with OS 10.4.11 to my new Macbook Pro with Lion 10.7.3, and I'm having a problem with importing iCal data.
When I did an iCal database backup import, 8 out of my 9 calendars seemed to be coming through, but one was not showing up at all in any view. So...
I tried to exporting this single calendar into Dropbox and importing it into my new computer's iCal. This attempt gave me an error something like "iCal can't read this file, no data has been transferred." So...
I tried a trick I read about, opening the .ics file in TextEdit, then changing the extension to .vcs and changing the second line Version:2.0 number to Version: 1.0. This only got some of the events into the new iCal, but definitely not all and with seemingly random results - some reapeating events missing, some one-time events, etc.
This is a real problem for me, as I do reference past events a lot. I can't get rid of the old stuff and move forward until I've shifted ALL of my data over, and many events from this calendar are missing.
Does anyone know what's up? Any fixes for this issue?

After 3.5 hours on the phone with applecare, I believe this problem of not syncing ical from ipod touch to the ical app is resolved. Here are the steps that made it happen for me:
Log out of main account and log into root account. If you haven't set up the root user yet follow the directions in your Mac Help on your computer. Make sure you understand the implications of setting up the root user account. You may want to disable the root user after you are done with this fix.
In Finder, navigate to /Users/(your account)/Library/Application Support and delete every folder in the Application Support directory that has the word 'Sync' in the folder's name.
Log out of the root account and back into your main account. Sync your ipod touch / iphone and see if this worked for you.

Save the file to your desired location.

How do you add more than one song to library.....

How do you add more than one song to the library using the "Add File to Library" option? I just upgraded to itunes 7.1.1.5 from an early version and used to be able to do this but now it want let me, it only lets me add one song at a time. I don't want to use the "Add Folder" option because it adds m3u playists and all kinds of things I don't want to be in my library. Is this a glitch? because it doesn't make sense.

When using the "add file to library" feature, hold down the CNTL (control) button as you pick your songs...
DON'T RELEASE THE BUTTON UNTIL YOU HAVE SLECTED ALL THE SONGS...
then just hit hit the button to add them a voila

DNS wont let me add a zone

I had a zone working for my dns server and i deleted it to add it again with a new ip. But now it wont let me add a new one. What the **** is gone wrong?!

Did you stop the service first before deleting the zone?
