Ical printing off page! Need help!

I posted this message yesterday, but haven't gotten any help. I need to print my calendars but I can't. PLEASE, SOMEBODY HELP!
I print my calendars on an Epson 3000. Never had any real problems printing until 10.4.4 was installed yesterday. This is the problem: I print only the monthly view. At first, the calendar was printing off the top of the page and off the right side of the page. I tried to change the paper choice in "print" and used the letter small which at least got the full month name and the little calenders on the top of the page. However, still can't get the whole month on. It prints off the right side. Tried using the "layout" in my Epson print dialogue which has a "scale to paper". That didn't work. I even tried changing the paper sizes and playing with that. It seems that I need to change the margins, but that isn't really an option (or is it?). I've been waiting for an ical that has a smaller point size and can't wait to print these. So someone, please help me.
I wouldn't mind removing the "page #" from the bottom right to try to get a larger calender area on the page, but I can live with that.

I got the latest version off the Adobe website. I will look for the more updated version.
Do you have an answer to my question. I don't think it is related to the version I'm using.

Lost connection between Power Book G4 and Brother Printer/Fax. Need help.

I am a new Mac user and until recently had a successful wireless connection to the Brother printer/fax. Address # 192.168.1.100 While printing a job I ran out of ink. I turned the printer off to replace the cartridge and lost the connection to the wireless powerbook. The printer works because it prints jobs from the PC that it is connected to by wire. So far I have clicked on "system preferences", clicked print and fax, Clicked + ato add printer and put the address in. Nothing is working. The message says, cannot connect to printer. I need serious, detailed help. My husband connects everything and gets it running and he just left for Iraq! Thanks so much!!

Hello! In the printer setup utility choose "show Jobs" and see if you can click on "start jobs". It's probably gotten stuck because it ran out of ink. Tom

My print setup will not work and Fire fox only prints blank pages. Help?

I tried to change the margins on my printer set up. Since I did this my printer will only print blank pages from Firefox. (If I open a PDF it prints fine) I have tried to go into print set up but it only comes up as a big black page. Any thoughts??

Safari too slow to load a page, need help

Hi mi name is roberto carlos and i really need help please. Since a time ago my SAFARI has become too slow that i can see the difference. I don't know what to do with it. Please somebody help me, how do i fix it.

Try this:
The following usually works on both Tiger and Leopard:
(First, if yours is an Intel Mac, check that Safari is not running in Rosetta, which is enough to slow it to a crawl.)
Many, including me, have had success with adding DNS codes to their Network Settings, with good results in terms of speed-up:
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu. Click on TCP/IP and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' enter the following two numbers:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Click on Apply Now and close the window.
Restart Safari, and repair permissions.
If that didn't do it, then try this as well:
Empty Safari's cache (from the Safari menu), then close Safari.
Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete the following files:
form values
download.plist
Then go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete
com.apple.Safari.plist
Repair permissions (in Disk Utility).
Start up Safari again, and things should have improved.
Less likely, but possible, is that the slowness is caused by a Trojan such as the one called 'DNSChanger' or 'OSZ.RSPlug', which can alter the DNS settings of your network connection. This particular Trojan can be inadvertently installed if you have come across certain Quicktime movies where got a window stating that you have to download and install a particular codec in order to see the video.
If you have agreed to that installation, your system can be infected and your DNS settings altered, which results in your system using the wrong DNS servers, which can slow web surfing to a crawl.
This can be fixed by downloading and running a freeware utility called DNSChanger Removal Tool which you can download from here:

Once you have run that utility you have to re-boot your Mac, then reset Safari, and re-enter your DNS settings in System Preferences/Network.

ID CS3 Print Booklet really needs help.

Have read all the posts regarding Booklet, and this feature really needs an overhaul. The PM 7.0 Booklet was far better. Surely there are thousands of printers who need to make up booklets, then as job develops, go in and make a change and rerun a single plate. This you could do in PM 7.0, and I assumed that CS3 would be an improvement over that even.

I don't think whoever responsible for coding Print Booklet had a clue of what they were doing or why.
PageMaker had a feature called Build Booklet. Previous versions of ID had a Build Booklet plug-in. This is PRINT Booklet, and the feature takes that idea mind numbingly literally. The only good thing to say about it is that it does exactly what it says if you follow its logic. But considering the following, I'm wondering if that wasn't just blind luck.

Use hyphens to separate consecutive page numbers, and commas for nonadjacent page numbers. For example, typing 3-7, 16 imposes pages 3 through 7 and 16.
Printing from a 20 page document, that would return the following spreads:
blank - 3
4 - blank
16 - 5
6 - 7
You ask for six pages, and get four spreads of two. There is a perfect logic at work here. But it just makes no sense.
I am left wondering what Adobe was thinking. Who would ever WANT to print a selection of pages as printers spreads that are completely irrelevant to the original document? They should be embarassed.

IDSC3 Print Booklet Troubles (need help with Teus's rotatepages.js script)

I've been reading the original Nov '05 thread on this (http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bbd4bb6/17) but I'm having trouble with the script provided.
Very briefly, I'm trying to make a 16-page catalog on letter-sized paper, using half-size 8.5x5.5 pages in landscape format. I did a considerate amount of work on the layout thinking I wouldn't have any problems later on, but when I had a look at the Preview in the Print Booklet setting I completely freaked out -- the Preview builds with the bottom half of each landscaped half-page to the right side of the page!
Based on what I've read so far, the script provided in the earlier thread should be the answer to my headache. But when I run it as directed, I get this Javascript error:
Error number: 21
Error string: Undefined is not an object
Line: 42
Source: pdfpage.parent.rotate(90, Anchorpoint.topLeftAnchor)
This is my first time dabbling with scripts, so this error message dumbfounds me.

It should work, I think, if you make a folder inside the scripts folder called "Version 4.0 Scripts" (without the quotes) and put it in that.

Acrobat 8 Won't Print - AGAIN! Need Help!

I'm running Acrobat 8 on Windows 7 64 bit. When I installed, I also installed that dll file you need, set it to print to file, everything worked fine for 2 months. This morning, I wake up, go to print a pdf, no go. I remembered that it updated about 2 days ago, so I remove the program, reinstall, nothing. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting my printer, nothing. This software is expensive and it only creates headaches for me. Does someone know how to fix this? I have work to do today. Thanks

You are trying to print a PDF opened in AA8 to what? Have you updated AA8 to the latest update? The canned answer is that AA8 is not certified for Win7 (particularly x64) and you would need to upgrade. However, several folks have AA8 running with Win7 and think some of those are X64. More information about the printer and the subversion of Acrobat would help. AA 8 is currently at 8.3.1.

Navigate to diferent pages - Need help

Hi everyone,
I'm using JDeveloper10.1.2, STRUTS and UIX pages.
I have a problem and I need some help from you.
This is my situation: I have one table in my page 1 and when I press a Button I need to see if I had select one line from the table or not. If I selected one line, then I need to go to page 2 otherwise I need to go to page 3.
Can anyone help me to do this?

I do use popup windows when appropriate. However, if as part of the return from the popup window you want to navigate to a different page, then I don't use a popup (even though using a popup would look better).
On return from a popup you cannot reliably navigate to a new page. There are several threads around here that discuss this problem. What I was trying to say was that even in situations where a popup would be the right choice (i.e. like in a "Do you want to save the changes?" dialog), I do not use a popup since I cannot navigate to a specific page after returning from the dialog.

Toshiba satalite L305D starts then shuts off. Need help.

Basically the computer will start then about 10-20 sec later will shut off. No display what so ever. Doesnt seem like the computer is getting to POST.
Ive done my research, im just looking for some things to try.
Things Ive tried.
* Changed power adapter.
* Attached VGA to external monitor.
* Holding the power button for 60 sec without battery and AC (refresh trick)
* Replaced the entire Motherboard ( yep even that didnt work)
* Removed and Re-applied thermal paste to CPU and Heatsink.
At this point Im thinking its either the CPU not getting good air flow, or just dead or possibly a CMOS problem. I also tried to remove the CMOS battery, but its Soldered on.
Any help would be appriciated. Also, buying a new computer is not an option.

might be an air flow issue with over heating. might try to take apart the computer and give it a cleaning for dust build up. the other issue is the battery for the cmos could be shot i have had another computer that had this issue before and wouldn't start as well the cmos battery is should be sodered in, like you said. what i did is desoder it and replaced it with another sililar battery from another laptop i wasnt using i'm sure you can purchase one from amazon as well or ebay; and sodering the new on into place. hope this helps.

Freehand MX Printing Issues. Need help ASAP

See topic. I have a multipage document that uses a lot of the
square root glyph. (√) The font is Times, and when the
document is spooled to the 4110, in place of the SR there is
nothing but a big blank O. Any advice (besides converting the SR to
a path) would be helpful, and greatly appreciated.

Possible reasons:
1. Font is Unicode and FreeHand does not support Unicode
fonts.
2. If you are on Mac OS X, font caches may be corrupt. Use a
font cache
cleaning utility.
3. FH has trouble sending the correct font to the printer
because in
identifies fonts in way the newer operating systems cannot
understand.
Workarounds:
If the printer is a Postscript printer, print to an EPS file,
and drag the
EPS file into the printer queue window. Alternately, use
Acrobat Pro and
Distiller (Print Quality settings) to create a PDF file from
the EPS file.

Part of the letter W chopping off ! - need help

I wonder if anyone can help. I sometimes get part of the
letter W chopped off when it is an uppercase W and the first
character in a line of text. Havent had this problem for many
years. This only happens in IE (6&7)
There is a solution around it of course which is to add a
couple of pixel of padding to the text or the div but i was
wondering why it happens and if there is another fix for it so i
dont have to alter all of my padding setting throughout the site
which will mean i'll have to tweak all my grids etc.
Havent had the problem for a while now but this has raised
its head again and cant find much about it when i google for the
problem which means i would have thought its not that commen,
leading me to think its something else im doing??

Are you using a case to protect the iPhone? If you are try taking it off and seeing if the button works normally then.
If you don't have a case on the iPhone, try restarting or restoring the iPhone.
If that doesn't take care of it, the iPhone will need service.
