ICal real time desktop?

Can anyone think of a way to have iCal display on your desktop? Many people actually have calendars on their real desk tops and this works great. I've been looking for some good iCal plug-ins and third party software and can't find them so far.
Also, is there a way to display appointments in month view to look the same as they do in week and day view? (with the long shaded bars, instead of just the text)
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated,
-Alex

Hi Alex,
You could try iCalViewer. Also there is a list of iCal related utilities at iCalShare.

  • Desktop PC as LabVIEW Real-Time Target and DAQ ISA card

I want to use LabVIEW Real-Time (Desktop PC + OS Pharlap ETS) for operation with DAQ ISA card.
Pharlap ETS supports operation from Windows dll and can supports Third Party Device PCI.
Whether there is a possibility to work with ISA card in Pharlap ETS?
I want to work for example with card PC20TR from BMC Messsysteme GmbH.
Does anyone have tricks for using ISA card in Pharlap ETS?

    Hi,
If you have reviewed the requirements for a Real-Time target and verified that your computer is compliant you might want to check out this article.  The main issue that people encounter when using PC's as RT targets is have the correct network card.  Make sure the card you have is on the supported devices list on the webpage that Christian posted.  You should be able to develop a driver using low level VISA commands but it is not an easy task.  Read over the developer zone article to learn more about it.

  • How to install the NI-DAQmx driver on a real time target PC?

Hi, I’m painful about how I can install a PCI-6363 DAQmx on my real time desktop PC target. The PCI-6363 is directly connected to the real time PC. And I’m using LabVIEW 2011 and MAX 5.0.
The DAQmx device driver can be seen in software lIst in the host PC, but it can not be found in the install wizard. Is there something wrong with my host PC? or is that wrong to connect PCI-6363 with real time desktop PC?
I would be grateful for any advice that I could get here.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Zhleo,
If you are about to use the PCI-6363 with the Real-Time Desktop you are right you need to have it installed, and then you need to deploy DAQmx driver software to the real-time target.
To do that you access your real-time desktop under Remote Systems in MAX and start the Real-Time Software Wizard. There you should see DAQmx listed.
In case you do not have DAQmx listed there, see this KB: Deploying DAQmx to a Real-Time Controller or PC?

    Hello,
The first thing that I would check in regards to this error is the state of your computer before it crashes. I believe that you may have a memory leak that is causing your memory to get used up and then you get the crash. Do you always get the same error when it crashes and does it occur in resampling VI?

  • How to reset numbers in real time display in Cisco Supervisor Desktop?

    Hi all,
I wonder about numbers in real time display in Cisco Supervisor Desktop. There are many statistic number for example : Call Handled, Max Talking, Avg Talking, Max Ready, Total Ready, Call abandoned, etc. Is there any way to reset those numbers back to zero? Please let me know.
    Thank you.

    Joe,
I haven't tried that, but I'm very skeptical. The CAD Agent gets stats from two places - CTIOS and RASS. RASS keeps the call log information in a SQL Desktop Engine database.
Stats derived from CTIOS reset at midnight. Obviously, restarting the RASS service has no effect on those. Call log information is being kept in a database so it seems to me that a restart of RASS should also have no effect.
I guess I will have to try for myself.

  • How to install Vision run-time engine to a desktop PC converted to real-time target

    Hi, all
I don't know how can I install the vision run-time engine to a desktop PC which I converted to a real-time target.  The same problem applies to installing real-time run-time engine and labview run-time engine to the real-time target.  The only way to install software to real-time target is through "add/remove software" in MAX for remote system, but it is not for all types of run-time engine installation.
I am also confused about how to activate those run-time engines for the desktop PC as real-time target.
    Please help and great thanks.

    Hi turtle,
Here is a link that explains how to set up a desktop PC as a real-time target.  The section for Formatting & Setup should help you the most.

  • Supervisor Desktop - Real time status shows the deleted agents

    Hi All,
Recently we modified only the agent IDs for few agents. In ICM we just edited the previous entry. We have not deleted and re created it. Now the problem is the in "Supervisor Desktop - Real time status" the old entries are also reflecting in logout state. Exit_OPC will help us to remove this stale values. But is there any other metheod to to achieve this without impacting the production?
    Regards,
    Adithya

    Hi David,
Thanks for your response. We cannot reinstall the Supervisor desktop there are multiple supervisors for this team. Will wait and check if the stale entry goes automatically. Please let me know if u come across any other process which will help in doing this.

  • An agent be able to see his real time performance statistics on his desktop

    HI,
In Cisco UCCE how can an agent be able to see his/her real time performance statistics on his desktop?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Manish

Nope. An agent has a limited real-time view of the skill groups they belong to. They can see the number of calls in queue and how long the longest one has been waiting. They also see the number of calls they have received so far today and the average talk time.
What do you want to see?

  • Desktop Real Time on Intel NUC?

I'm exploring small form factors to run RTOS, but don't have the need for FPGA (i.e. CPU only).  Just curious if anyone has tried to install LabView Desktop Real Time on any of the new Intel NUC SFF-PCs, such as the DN2820FYKH?  If so, are all the necessary devices (especially ethernet) supported?  Thanks.
    -Joe

    Joe,
I'm trying to do this same thing - Building the world's smallest NI RealTime System using the Intel NUC - D54250WYKH.
       Its been an uphill battle...
The compatibility list states the 4th generation Intel processors (in my case, an i5) in this unit is supported, but in the next month or two Intel will be releasing the the 5th generation which is currently not on the compatibility list..
Anyone from NI care to tell us when this might happen?
My troubles have been around the ethernet port. The D54250WYKH has only 1 ethernet port and its the l218V chipset - This chipset is not on the currently supported list..
Once again, Anyone from NI care to tell us when this might happen?
I actually need 2 ethernet ports for my application on the NUC, but have been having a terrible time finding an ethernet expansion card for the miniPXIe expansion ports that use the supported chipsets. I found 1, but it doesn't work even though it passes the "NI PC RT Evaluator" software test...
I'm now looking at an adaptor that converts the miniPCIe port back to the PCI format. I give this about a 50% chance of working... It's due to be delivered this Friday...
Does any know of a PCI card that is supported by NI RealTime with 2 ethernet ports?

  • Read CPU temperature of Desktop PC running LabVIEW Real-Time

Is it possilbe to read the CPU temperature of a Desktop PC running LabVIEW Real-Time? I found an older example that allows to read the temperature of PXI systems (http://www.ni.com/example/29538/en/). Is there a possibility for Desktop Real-Time Machines as well?
    Regards,
    Steffen

Hi this is heavily dependent from your specific Hardware. Which PC or more specific which main board do you use?
I found several examples in the NI forum that try to access the CPU data.
I’m using a Dell machine and both temperature VI’s are not working for me.
    Hope you have more luck.

  • NI LabVIEW Real-Time for Desktop PCs compatibility!

    Hello,
I'm pretending to acquire the NI LabVIEW Real-Time Deployment License for Desktop PCs. But before that, I need to be sure that this will work with other boards (not from NI).
Currently, I still don´t have all the project details. But there's a possibility of one board be from other supplier.
Can anyone tell me this, please. It's very urgent.
    Best regards,
    Paulo Carmo

    Hi Paulo,
I guess that you will be disappointed but the response is clearly no.
When you boot a Desktop PC as RT target, it loads with the basic real-time operating system (including drivers for ethernet, for harddrive, memory....). When you want to add drivers on this embedded system, it will be only possible to add National Instruments drivers such as DAQmx, DAQ, VISA ... The possibility to add others drivers (from others providers) is not supported.
    Hope it will help you,
    Regards

  • Is it possible to disable some popups from FEP Client on the desktop. But how to disable popups from real time protection

Is it possible to disable some popups from FEP Client on the desktop. But how to disable popups from real time protection. This is so that end users who are non technical are not disturbed and only the I.T is aware of the viruses in teh environment.Shahid Roofi

You could set policies which when a malware detected an action perform automatically without user interaction but there is no GPO which stop the notification, one reason could be that when notification keep appearing, then user will know something is wrong
otherwise why FEP should display any warning.

  • Using Leopard with iCal, Apple Remote Desktop, and Quicktime/Keynote

    Hi,
I need to create the following 'synergy' or workflow or 'automation' between these softwares:
    - iCal
    - Apple Remote Desktop
    - Quicktime/Keynote
    This is the application:
Remotely controlling (ARD) and scheduling (iCal) several quicktime/keynote files for display (ie. playing full screen video but controlling which file is playing from home).
How can I integrate all softwares?
    Extended application:
I would also like to know if Leopard or any Apple software has the capability to read serial (RS-232) commands. For example, I would like to know and/or be advised if a screen/monitor is turned off (regardless if the computer is properly displaying the content or not).
I look forward to your feedback.
    Thanks,
    LMB1980

It is if you are trying to stream it.
Users may want to stream their music into a third party program such as Ventrilo (as I do) to share their music (but not their libraries) with other listeners and speak on Ventrilo at the same time. You need two user profiles running Ventrilo at the same time, and two user profiles running iTunes.
When I roll over to User Profile #2 after setting up iTunes to stream into Vent in User Profile #1, iTunes stops playing. This is a recent change. It's annoying.
    How do I change it?

  • BT NetProtect plus – Real time scanning and update...

I have posted this message as both a pointer in case others have the same issue as well as whether anyone has found a proper resolution.
I have recently experianced problems with my BT NetProtect plus indicating the Real time scanning has stopped and any attempt to restart it does not work. This is accompanied with it keep promptig that there is a new update and to restart the computer. This happened every time I logged on.
I had spent some considerable time with the BT support people who have now reinstalled the software about 6 time's after the 2 time I had already tried.
I run Windows 7 64 bit and recently installed an SSD drive. The key thing I have subsequently discovered in my upgrade is that I changed some registry settings to make my default installation location to be my D: drive. I followed this post :
The 64bit version has two versions of regedit. Make this change as well:
1.) Enter into Start>Run: %systemroot%\syswow64\regedit 2.) Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion 3.) Change the Path in DWORDs ProgramFilesDir, ProgramFilesDir (x86) to the new path, probably just changing the drive letter
Everything works fine apart from BT NetProtect plus which when installed new has the above issue.  If I change the default install location back to C: drive then it installs OK and works OK when I subsequently change the default install location back to the D: drive. When I say works OK, that is until BT NetProtect plus issues a major update when the same problem appears again.
I am waiting further contact from the 3rd line helpdesk but the 2nd line team did not seam to know of this problem.
Has anyone else experenced it or know of a proper solution ?

A full McAfee scan on my desktop PC can take about 2 hours or so and a full scan sometimes slows down my over 3 year old desktop PC. Thats why I only do a full McAfee scan every once in a while but I do a quick McAfee scan every 6 or 7 days.
I do like the McAfee shredder though and use that now and again. I also got McAfee quick clean set to run at lest twice a week.
I have used Norton in the past and that slowed down my last PC more than McAfee from BT. The free version of AVG is good but its only an anti-virus. Some say the windows firewall is ok but not the best.
I also have windows defender set to do a quick scan every evening around 9pm. As most nights I have my Desktop PC on at that time.
I also do a disk clean up at leat once a day.
