Howdy to daferret,
I found an article for you to help assist troubleshooting iCloud and the Calendars application on the Mac OS. It is named http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999 found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999.
Troubleshooting Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion (iCal on OS X Lion)
Note: For instructions on setting up iCloud Calendar with Calendar or iCal on your Mac, see iCloud Setup.
If you are having trouble with Calendar or iCal on a Mac and you are using iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
Make sure you are using OS X Lion v10.7.2 or later. Click here for help verifying the version of OS X you are using.
Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in iCal. Click here for more information about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Preference pane in System Preferences. See iCloud Setup for more information about setting up iCloud on a Mac.
Make sure you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list will be pushed to iCloud. Both Calendar and iCal for the Mac support the display of and interaction with multiple accounts and datastores, for example, iCloud, On My Mac, Exchange, Google, and so on. This makes it easy to create or modify events or calendars in a section of  Calendar or iCal that may not be updating iCloud. Learn more about moving local calendars to iCloud.
In some cases, you may find that you have data duplicated in both the local On My Mac and the iCloud sections of Calendar or iCal. Learn more about resolving this issue.
You can make the iCloud calendar your default calendar for all new events. In Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion, choose Calendar > Preferences > General, or in OS X Lion, choose iCal > Preferences > Generaland under the Default Calendar heading, select one of the Calendars under the iCloud heading. Close the Preferences window to save this change.
If recent changes simply don't appear, try forcing Calendar or iCal to refresh by selecting Refresh All from theCalendar menu.
Make sure your account was successfully created in Calendar on your Mac (or iCal). After upgrading to iCloud Calendar, you may need to quit and reopen Calendar (or iCal). To confirm your account is configured correctly in iCal:
Open Calendar (or iCal).
Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name entered.
Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on
Quit Calendar (or iCal).
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Calendars.
Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
Open System Preferences and choose iCloud.
Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
Close System Preferences.
Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
There is also a General troubleshooting section in the article but this section I quoted is specifically for iCloud and Calendars.
Cheers,
Sterling

    Hi,
I`d like to get your advice on Server Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. I use to visit a webpage with no issues so far but now i getting this error each time i`m trying to get into. Any ideas in how to solve it? A step to step process will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
PS, I`m using the latest safari 8.0.3 and OS X 10.10.2.

It's an error message from the web server, not from Safari. There's a slight chance that you might be able to clear it as follows.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
    and confirm. Test.

What version of OS X?  How is the printer connected?  If via network, what router?  Have  you restarted the router by pulling its power plug momentarily?

  • How do I resolve the server error"403"?

How do I resolve the error message in Ical when I am trying to accept a meeting invitation and get:
The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation?

First, try the simple fix: back up all data, then delete the calendar account and add it back. If it's an iCloud account, all you have to do is uncheck and recheck the box marked Calendars & Reminders in the iCloud preference pane. Test.
If there's no change, then you may be trying to access an event in a shared calendar that you declined. The error message should give you a clue as to what it is. If the calendar is on iCloud, you can bring up the Calendar on the website and select
    Show Declined Events
from the popup menu with the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page. The declined events will appear in gray, and one of them should match what's shown the error message. [Credit for this solution to ASC member Psi.]
If you get the error when trying to accept an invitation in an email attachment, it's because the organizer didn't properly create the event.

  • Ical server error message when accessed remotely

hello we have a 10.6.7 ical server running mostly smoothly when accessed from the LAN.
however, when accessed remotely it generates the following error message:
The server responded with “HTTP/1.1 501 Not Implemented” to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.
the message provides the following 2 responses / buttons: stay offline or go online - trouble is once you click go online, it comes up with the same message again.
unfortunately, research the error message has so far not produced any promising results, thus any ideas would be much appreciated.

There are many reports here on this site about this, crossing different carriers and regions of the world. Consequently, the only deduction that can be made is that this is a system-level issue rather than a single user issue. Hence, what each affected user must do is contact their mobile service provider for formal support and possible escalation up to BlackBerry.

  • ICal server error "500"

Hi, iCal was functionig great till yesterday whe an error message pop-up. It is in spanish but I hope someone can help me.

I had this problem on OSX server 10.6.8 and a couple of users sharing their calendars thru iCal.
After a Time machine backup restore, the owner names were altered on the /Library/CalendarServer/ and thus the user were not able to write their local machine cache content onto the server.
The problem was probably triggered by alteration of folder (& content) permissions, so the Admin can see the file contents and identify the user's calendar data for restore.
It appears that the folder owner has to be specifically "_calendar"; allowing Owner Group Others full Read Write rights was NOT able to circumvent this permissions issue.
I also reset the user's passwords, turned on / off the ical server, emptied the ~/Library/Calendars/Calendar Cache, as mentioned elsewhere but that did not help.
Your mileage may vary, and as always, make backups and take precautions before proceeding.

  • ICal Server error

    Hello Helpful People
I have Lion Server and Lion Macs up-to-date.
I have Network Users with MobileHome syncing on every session. Works beatifully, now. So i Thought... let's introduce the iCal Server.
The users own calendar works fine. So I configured the Group Calendar via Wiki. I shared the Group Calendar with the Users of the Group.
It works. Everybody sees their own and their group calendars.
All the problem start as soon as we try to set up events.
All new events are generated as all day. Why?
If the new event is generated within the Group Calendar it cannot be moved to the personal one. It looks like a permissions problem. But it is allowed to move the event to one's own iCloud and then back to any Server Calendar, be it the personal or the group one.
If I try to generate/modify a Group event to add attendees within the OD & Group Users i get an error. As soon as I hit 'send' a window pops up offering to either 'Go Offline' or 'Revert to server'. Upon the latter the Event is lost! Why? Even via the https Web interface the scheduling of events with attendees does not work. The page starts a sunflower clock, saying it is communicating with the server and never stops.
    Any Help?

Group (Wiki) Calendars are read only from iCal client by Design.

    Hi all
i was checking the performance of my application server, in HTTP Server (AS instance, not infrastructure instance)
HTTP Server error rate is high, drilling down if found that i have an unusual number of 403 - Forbidden errors.

i have asked the programming team to find the piece of code that was generating an OPTIONS request to the server, they could not find any reference to an OPTIONS request in all application code.
Is it some configuration in OC4J container ? or some option in BC4J ??

  • ICal Server Error "An unexpected network error (code 60)"

When trying to create a new iCal calendar on our leopard server I get an exclamation mark next to the server in the left sidebar next to the name of the server. When I click on it I get "an unexpected network error (code 60)"
    Thanks

After a lot of trial and error... this might help:
    1. Open iCal on your client computer > Preferences
    2. Go to the Accounts tab
    3. Go to Server Settings tab
    4. Make sure there is a port number entered. It should match the port number being used by the iCal server. Originally, this setting was on "Auto" and it worked fine. The "Auto" option no longer works. Also, be sure to check "Use SSL" if you are doing so. (In my setup, I have it on port 8443, with SSL on.)

  • I have a 6520 printer and i'm getting a connection server error 403

I have read previous posts and none of the suggestions have worked to fix my error 403, i dont know how to get the scan to email app, i have tried several tests and all come back working fine, i need to scan to email asap

    Hello mksmjenn,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I am not sure which suggestions you have taken in an attempt to correct this 403 error on your Photosmart 6520. I do see that you have posted on another Thread regarding this, I was unable to find the correct link for the reset and can only assume that you connected the printer with a Manual I.P address and DNS.
I would like you to try the steps I have given here: Re: Trouble scanning using Photosmart 6520. If you have tried the 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 DNS, skip to the other DNS I suggested.
Let me know the out come of all the steps.

  • ICal "server error" and unexpected quit

Whenever I try and open iCal i get the following message 2 times
"*The server responded with an error*.
The server did not recognize your user name or password for account “[email protected]” Make sure you enter them correctly."
I press OK, get the same message again, and press OK again.
    Then iCal quits unexpectedly.
I'm assuming this message means that there is a problem with the gmail calendar I am syncing (which I don't need and can be deleted) however iCal won't stay open for long enough in order for me to do anything about it.
    thank you!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions,
First make an iCal backup, File > Export > Archive.
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.
    Hope that helps.

  • ICal server errors

    Hey guys,
I finally got my iCal to work throughout my network yesterday. Now I am still running into somewhat of an issue.
I open iCal on all of the machines on the network that need it, then I go to preferences and add the account info. It loads all the events and seems to work fine. Then after it's shut down and some time passes, if I open it up again I get an error that says: "The server responded with an error. The calendar http:// etc. etc. was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct."
It's really weird because if I go to iCal -> preferences and delete the calendar and re-add it, it works fine. Until we shut iCal down and open it up again...then it throws me this error again. I am totally stumped.

after searching the apple discussion boards for the answer and not finding anything i used google which happened to find this apple discussion board post which appears to have corrected our problem

  • Access to account "iCloud" is not permitted.  The server responded: "403" to operation CalDAVRemoveCalendarQueueableOperation.

Access to account “iCloud” is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    “403”
    to operation CalDAVRemoveCalendarQueueableOperation.

It should synch despite the error messages, at least when you enter your appointments with iOS (iPhone, iPad) but I think (not sure) also when on OS X (Mavericks and Yosemite).
The very annoying 403 error messages (every few seconds) for a number of iCloud users are there since mid September. This is a month now !
This total iCal disaster is very clearly an error on the server side of iCloud. It works on the iCloud.com webpage though.
Don't waste your time and nerves searching for mistakes on your iMac.
tags: annoying, Apple is not meant for serious work, disaster, 30 days of disaster, iCal, iCloud, error 403,
CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation - Apple's iCal has become frustrating. Period.
