ICal shows "ee" for the day in detail menu

When I try to create a new event, iCal doesn't allow me to change settings on the day, instead filling the day placeholder with "ee" (example: 2011-05-ee).
The values for year and month can be changed and making a simple day event appears correctly in the iCal "month" view.
However, I cannot set events with a time span of more than 1 day.
This being said, iTunes also messes up import and last-played dates (approx. 2 weeks late).
The clock in System Preferences adjusts correctly, though.
Anybody else have this issue?

Hi,
You can change this in System Preferences, Language & Text.
Go to System Preferences > Language & Text > Formats tab and change where it says Custom to your location. Then re-open iCal.

I need a query to get the details of blocking and deadlock occurred for the day.

You havent specified which version of SQL you are using which makes it difficult to give a solution. Assuming its latest versions , by default SQL Server (in any versions) doesnt track blocking information.
You need to run some kind of queries/traces to capture blocking. The same goes with Deadlocks where majority of the DBA's enable trace flag 1222/1205 when they suspect deadlocks happening.

When setting the split-days to "every 15 minutes," the week and comparison views show incorrect time ranges for the day

When I change the "split-days" interval time, under Options > Settings, to
15, or every 15 minutes, the week and comparison views don't show the correct
time range for the day.

For example, if I click View to display the calendar and then click Week to get
a weekly view, the time range displayed is from 6:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. If I click Comparison to get a
comparison view, the time range displayed is from 12 p.m.
to 6:45 p.m.

In this example, should both of these views show the same time range, from
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.?
No, the two views will not necessarily show the same time range. The time
range for the comparison view will start at the beginning prefs time only
if you have something scheduled (on any day of the week) starting at that
time. For example, on one of the days during your week of comparison, if you
create an event that starts at 9:00 a.m. and then open the comparison view, the
time range displayed will start with 9:00 a.m.

Additionally, view times will expand past the configured settings if events
span past the time range. That is, if you have an event that spans from
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the event will be reflected in the view, even though
your time range may be set to go only to 6:00 p.m.

The settings are stored in ''prefs.js'', so you could swap various copies of this file in and out.
However, the system will load ''prefs.js'', then, if present, ''user.js'' , so you can set up just your changes in ''user.js'' .
The sort of line you need to look for is like this:
<code>user_pref("mail.server.server14.check_time", 10);</code>
You'll need to do some research to identify which of your accounts is which.
Search for the account's email address:
<code>user_pref("mail.identity.id10.useremail", "xenos@example.com");</code>
Use the id number to locate the account number:
<code>user_pref("mail.account.account29.identities", "id10");</code>
Use the account number to find the server number:
<code>user_pref("mail.account.account29.server", "server14");</code>
Finally, you can then use the server number find the account's time setting:
<code>user_pref("mail.server.server14.check_time", 10);</code>
This last entry may not exist, if you have never changed the setting from the default 10 minutes.
Do be careful with your typing and copy/pasting; if the file fails the syntax parser it will silently fail.
And make sure Thunderbird is shut down when you do the swap. If it's open, it may overwrite changes, and in any case, it only reads the settings file when it starts up.

Display all calendar events for the day in notification centre

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I can only see a couple events in notification centre. I was hoping there is a way to show all the events for the day in notification centre.

ICal entries jump to the day before or after

iCal entries jump to the day before or after the date I entered them on. It might have to do with me changing time zones. How do I lock the entries to the date I entered them on?

It does sound like the time zone may be affecting these events. With time zone support you can set a different time zone for any iCal event. If you would like to keep all events within your current time zone moving forward, you may want to disable the time zone support.

My younger brother had the same problem. You have to go into settings, app store, details and then change your credit card details to none. If there is no none option, you will have to use a different apple id.

I am using a Rain Wise product that converts pulses to an analog value. The Rain Wise device can be
set to measure up to 1", 5", or 10". I will be setting the unit to 10 inches in increments of 0.01 inches.
What I would like to do is everytime the signal increments I would like to count it as 0.01 then after reaching
a period of time whether it be a day or a month reset back to zero.
Need some advise on this problem.

Lookout gets a Modbus over Ethernet signal which originates as a 4-20mA input to a Moxa Ethernet I/O Module (E1240) in the field. In Lookout I created a ModbusEthernet Driver and a tag which scales 0 - 65534 RAW to 0-10 Eng. [0 - 10 is inches of rain] Also, another piece of information is that after the rain gauge maxes out at 10 inches it will zero out and start over.
I though the accumulator was time based and took a sample over a specific time period, for instance, one sample every 30 seconds then accumulate. If this is so then if I have 5 inches of rain and then it stopped raining, then 30 seconds latter it would sample, it would see 5 inches and add that to be 10 inches when actually it had only rained 5 inches.

How can I get the direction handles to show up for the Position attribute?

How can I get the direction handles to show up for the Position attribute?
I have CS3 and I did the formentioned test and was able to make the handles work for the scale attribute but they don't seem to show when editing the position values.
*I am in the graph editor looking at the "value graph"
*I select the keys and convert the keys to auto bezier (I also tried the ease in and out buttons)
*It changed the graph the way you might think (no longer linear) however the handles are not showing to edit further.
*I also tried using the "convert vertex tool" (part of the pen tool) and still no luck getting those handles.
*the handles only show up in the speed graph but that does me no good.

I don't have CS3 installed on any of my machines any more but your value graphs for position should look something like this:
There are no handles for position in the Graph editor. You adjust the position curve by editing the motion path in the composition window. Press the G key to bring up the pen tool, then use the modifier keys Crtl/Cmnd and Alt/Option to temporarily switch between select and convert vertex to adjust the paths. Changes will be reflected in the value graphs. You will get editable handles with scale and rotation because these are not spatial properties. Spatial properties, position, Anchor Point, all XY & Z coordinates are edited in the comp window or in the layer window after revealing the properties. IOW, you edit anchor point position paths by opening up the layer window and choosing Anchor Point from the display options.

Range Partitioning for the day of the week

I have a logging table which i want to partition into 7 partition, each one for the day of the week, eg MON,TUE, WED. I am aware and I can do a list partition by creating a parition key which stores 'DY' of the week and this means that I need to add another column to the existing table.
I wanted to explore the option of creating a range parition based on the timestamp column that already exists. Can anyone let me know if this option is possible?
Example

PARTITION BY RANGE (log_date)

Hi, when I'm done with my laptop for the day, should I just close it or should I be shutting it down with the power button?

Either way is fine. There is no "correct" way. I used to just let mine sleep all the time, for years. Now I shut it down for security reasons.
