ICal started crashing this week
For whatever reason iCal has started crashing this week. I'm on OS 10.4.7 and have been using this comp since Oct 2006 and have not had this issue.
As soon as I create an event, maybe 2, it crashes. Typically I'll make an event, close the window and within 5 seconds it crashes. Other times I'm not even using the program (it's running but not up) and it will crash while I'm doing something else.
I've tried removing the iCal files from the Library>Preferences folder and this has not helped. I have not made any updates/changes to the system recently. That's why this is so random.
Ideas? I need iCal for daily project tracking. Please help.

Are you still facing this issue? It seems to be conflict to me.
Are you using any third party plugins with Acrobat? Try disabling and to use it again.

My whole Mac has crashed a number of times both yesterday and today. This is very unusual. I'm not positive it's because of Firefox's new update, but it seemed like a good guess, and it was usually when I was on various websites (I was going through a lot of emails from news lists and clicking on links). I use Thunderbird for email, and Firefox is my browser of preference. It crashed three times so far today, over several hours, and yesterday I guess it probably crashed about 6 times -- not sure.

Apps started crashing this evening??
Everything has been working just fine, which is why I havn't updated since 2.0.0
Phone was working fine this morning, I got on a plane turned it to airplane mode for a while then turned it off. Got off the plane after a few hours, phone calls, email, original apps working. All third party apps crashing??"All third party apps crashing??"
I have no idea if the third party apps on your phone are crashing. -
The language bar is working just fine. And, I can see that the setting has changed to the other language but it just won't type in firefox. It keeps typing in English. It works in word or other web browsers, so I'm assuming this only happens in firefox. So, then, what is the issue?
In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

MY iCAL KEEPS CRASHING AFTER START-UP - PLEASE HELP
all of a sudden, my iCal started crashing a few seconds after opening it. I've tried re-booting, updating my software, etc. Still keeps happening.

Please let me know if you want to continue on the user to user basis to try to find an answer that has not yet been found or made known by
Adobe.

Firefox hangs (freezes) when I press keyboard keys on my laptop (and only then).
Can't type URLs or scroll with the keyboard, for instance. Hence why this is being typed up on Internet Explorer. The problem is that my version of IE isn't registering Flash and/or Java as being fully active and up to date and I use Firefox more often.
This problem only appeared this week but now occurs every time; and has persisted after uninstalling and reinstalling (personal options uninstalled).

Ipod crashed 2 times this week!!!
my ipod touch 4th generation 32Gb ios 5.1.1 restarted a couple of times this week, i never dropped it, it is in like new condition with cover since first day.
I checked diagnostic and i found:
3 entries reset counter
1 entry mobile store
3 entries low memory
7 entries log aggregated
3 entries panic.plist.
what does it mean?
are this entries related to the ipod crashes?
I hope somebody could help me to fix this issue

As of yesterday, the started being more and more frequent. I have tried everything you said before. Unfortunately, that didn't do anything to my ipod. I looked it up here and I saw many people saying it is a hardware failure that it may be caused by jailbreaking or not being updated to the latest version. I currently am in 6.1.3 and I didn't jailbreak my ipod. The main reason is only a hardware failure with the Darwin Kernel.
I really hope that you bought your ipod less than a year ago or I'm not sure if they will give you a new one because of warranty. -
My left shift key on Macbook Pro Retina (15") is behaving like the F11 key (show/hide open windows).
The left shift key behaves the same on the laptop keyboard and on an external Apple keyboard.
This just started in last week after 6 months of use. The right shift key and other keys on the keyboard all appear to work correctly.
Suggestions greatly appreciated.I have a solution to this issue now after a discussion with Apple Support. Some where in the last few weeks, there was a change in the key that would do a Show Desktop under the Mission Control settings in the System Preferences. Even though the key sequence that was shown for the Show Desktop setting did not include the Left SHift key, by changing this first to having no key sequence and applying that and then changing it back to the F11 key, the Left SHift key issue that I was having has cleared up.
A second issue that was uncovered was that the SSD had some issues (uncovered when I ran Disk Utility using the Repair Disk key). I had to restart and use the Disk Utility through the Command R sequence to get to the stand alone Disk Utility. The SSD appears to be running better as a result as well.

iCal keeps sending email notifications of all agenda items from the last 2 years (then I bought my laptop). After laptop start up this action is repeated every hour. How can I stop these >300 emails coming in every hour?

Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

The beach ball will not go away. It is acting as the cursor in all open programs. I know summer starts this week but this is ridiculous!

Second time i opened Chrome to google this bug. Somewhere in the process of searching information my cursor changed back to an arrow???
Using Mavericks on a rMBP mid 2012, Photoshop CC and a Wacom Cintiq HD24 Touch. Did not experience this before working on the Cintiq.

Printing error in yahoo finance. I have to go to I.E. to print. This started about a week ago.

This is a good question. It's possible your Xserver isn't configured for the correct mouse type. Try logging into a command line console (no X11 running). Run /usr/bin/X11/X -configure. It should create an Xorg configuration file in your root directory.
Copy this to /etc/X11/Xorg.conf and try restarting your Xserver. The file it creates might require some tweaking. -
My macbook started crashing on startup. The startup tone wavers. I got it going with the option start keystroke. Is this apt to be software or hardware? I ordered new system software to see if a new install will solve.
when you install the disc, do it with the machine powered off. Place the disc in the the slot, push it in while holding the power switch tp poer it up, while holding the "C" key down till the gear starts spinning. After the gear starts spinning you can release the C key and wait. This takes much longer than normal longer, then create a new account. Be ready to wait.
