ICal stops synching in Lion.......

Hi,
after upgrading to Lion initially everything appear fine.
Until I realized that when I add, modify or delete calendar entries on my Lion iCal they never synch back to mobile.me, not to my iPhone or iPad.
When I click on the calendar button (upper left corner) I appear to see the reason for that. For all my Exchange calendar (4-5) the busy-animation pops up brielfy, but for my mobile.me calendars this animation is turning now for hours.
I installed Little-Snitch to monitor networking traffic and see whether there is an problem....... And indeed, when I de-activate/re-activate my mobile.me account in iCal synching starts and network traffic is heavy via our proxy here. Than at some point network traffic stops.... this is when the animation turns forever without synching.
I have the calender set on "pushing" changes.
Anyone an idea.
This is particular annoying since ALL my exchange accounts work fine :-(
Any ideas, suggestions and help is welcome.
I have set up all my account 5 times already, so please do not suggest that ......

There is a solution!!!
Well, it doesn't actually solve the selection problem itself, but it makes iCal lay out the events so that the problem never occurs in the first place. For me, this kills two birds with one stone.
1. Stop iCal, then open a Terminal window and enter the following:
defaults write com.apple.iCal IncludeDebugMenu 1
2. Restart iCal, and using the new Debug menu, disable the "Debug->Top Sekret->Use iPad Style Event Layout" option.
3. Flip back or forward a week with the controls to enable the new rendering mode. You'll see that the events are being rendered properly. This setting seems to be "sticky" and you only seem to need to do it once.
Thanks to OS X Daily for pointing out the existence of the debug menu in the first place.

My ical has stopped synching. At first I thought it was just my iPhone 6 that wasn't updating info from my Macbook but after a quick test I discovered it won't update in either direction. My cloud settings have been verified on both devices are set correctly.

kind of same issue: I input some ongoing events into my iPhone 6 the other day. I was noodling around on my MacBook today and noticed none of my events are updating onto my MacBook iCal. Not sure how to troubleshoot this issue, and there aren't a ton of posts about 'how to' synch iCal to ALL devices. AND various calendars within iCal.
Any ideas on how to check settings or synch these two devices would be appreciated.

i either get 2 copies of every event or they don't post to google calendar at all......how do I synch with google calendar since I use ical on my mac?

Same thing here and it only started happening after installing Mountain Lion. Not sure what changed, but now my iCal will not connect to my google calendar. It's constantly asking for the PW and I know nothing has changed and the PW i've entered is correct.

Also - my battery has been telling me "service battery" for a LONG time and then it switched to "replace soon" som time ago. Can't really see what this has to do with anything but whatever.
That could conceivably explain all the problems you're describing. Replacing a Mac's battery should not be postponed since a failed battery will cause other problems to occur. It is also possible that its hard disk has failed, which means the information on it may soon become unrecoverable.
... my latest TM back up was from April 2014, can I just run this when I have rescued everthing and then it might not be as slow?
If that Time Machine backup remains intact, it may be the only viable means of recovering that Mac's information. I suggest you do not attempt to restore its contents to your ailing Mac.
Given that you are having trouble creating a newer Time Machine backup you should stop using that Mac immediately and have it serviced as soon as you are able. Do not take it to anyone other than Apple or a service facility authorized by Apple, for the very reasons you explained. If there are no Apple Stores in your vicinity search for an Authorized Apple Service Provider using the Contact Us link below. Use one of the options that appear under Contact Apple Support. The language on that page will be different for your location.

Maybe you disabled iMessage in settings. To check, go to Settings> iMessage and turn it on. It also may be that your friends are texting to the wrong address. Change that in the same place. It also may be blocked in restrictions. To change it, go to Settings> General> Restrictions, then enter your restrictions pass code and enable iMessage.

No, the Mac OS X released apps are part of the operating system and make system calls other versions may not have or may have changed. Plus Lion allows iCloud access and sync of the calendar other Mac OS Xs do not make.

If so, when does your subscription expire? There have recently been a fair number of problems with the early adopters of iTunes Match having problems as iTM attempts to auto-renew the subscription. Fixing this requires actual involvement of an Apple Tech Support person.

Outlook 2010 Calendars Stopped Synching

My Oulook 2010 Celndars have stopped synching to my iPhone. I thought it was new iPhone 5 but returning to iPhone 4 problem persists. It will load all calendars up to about a two weeks ago when it stopped working but nothing since then. New contacts added in the last two weeks do sync. I have checked software updates and every suggestion i can find. Hope someone can help.

Try this trick i read on the other thread not sure if you have checked this, but Items on the iPhone calendar not syncing to Outlook is is a symptom of the Outlook/Exchange Calendar not being set to default....you can look under settings/mail contacts calendar and check....

An iPod can only sync with one iTunes library. The iPod sees the rebuilt computer as a new iTunes library. To make this computer the syncing computer
- Transfer iTunes purchases:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
newer copy
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.

What has happened to iCal in OS X Lion?

I use iCal for all my events and since upgrading to Lion I have been experiencing majorproblems:
When double-clicking on an event to open it up, sometimes the event appears for a fraction of a second and disappears. A further double click is then required to open the event.
If I use copy and paste to duplicate an event, the pasted event will go to the date where it was copied from not the date where the mouse pointer is located. If I paste an event into a different month, the event goes to the same date as the original (but in the new month), not the date where the mouse pointer is located.
I have had problems with events that have disappeared after they have been created on my iMac. The events can be seen in my MobileMe account, on my MacBook, on my iPhone, on my iPad and even on my PC where I share calendars in Outlook. But they do not show on the iMac where the event was created.
I use several calendars, when events are copied and pasted, the original calendar sometimes changes.
I have noticed that a single click on a date in the month or week view no longer highlights that day.
None ofthese problems existed with OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard. What has happened to iCal in OS X Lion?

IOS health app stopped synching

Has anyone else had their IOS 8.2 Health app stop synching with the Wahoo Fitness app? My data has stopped synching on the 12 March (after an IOS update?). I have all the historic and manually entered Fitness data present in the Health app upto and including the 12 March, then nothing is synched. When I try a manual synch from the Fitness app on data after the 12th March, I get the "com.apple.healthd.sqlite error 1" message.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've even tried:
1. Turn off all syncing by theirs-party sources.
2. Delete all third-party apps that might sync data so that the Health App "Sources" list is empty
3. Reset all settings on the phone.
4. Reload third-party apps one by one
5. Selectively turn on syncing by third-party apps and only sync categories I really want to see.
All to no avail. The Health App crashes constantly and when trying to input data into third-party apps, those apps will crash also.
I'm currently trying to sync data with:
UP by Jawbone (UP24)
Withings HealthMate (Withings WiFi scale)
MyFitnessPal
Runtastic
Nike+

ICal Stopped Working ---Help

All of a sudden my iCal stopped working. When I try to bring it up the program shows a blank calendar screen for about a second and then completely exits and gives the following message: "The application iCal has unexpectedly quit".
I have some important information on iCal and would like to get it up and running again.
