ICal sync one hour off

Hi
My MacBook Pro iCal events are all displaying as one hour earlier on my iphone. For example, something scheduled for noon on my MacBook Pro iCal appears to be scheduled for 11am on my iphone. I am syncing via MobileMe. Any suggestions?

  • Calendar dates synced one hour off

I exported the calendar/contact data from my Palm Pilot to my ICalendar on my Macbook. Then I synced the ICalendar to the Iphone. The result is that all my appointments show up on the Iphone one hour later than what they are supposed to be. I reset the Iphone and synced it again and the same problem showed up.

Thank you, this was the exact problem, as a friend of mine figured out last night. I have another problem now: I can't send email from my iphone. I checked the settings and they are the same, just as synced from the laptop. In addition, I closed the email on the laptop as I had learned previously that it does not allow them both to be open. But I still cannot send email for some reason...

  • Ical appts. w/alerts are one hour off on iphone - how to fix?

when I create an appointment in ical, it syncs fine with iphone, but the alert (and the appointment) are set for one hour later than what they are set for in ical. The timezone on both is accurate...Any ideas?

    Thx Bernard,
    You are very helpful
When you went through the steps, were any of the settings different to those that I suggested?
......Yes, Time zone was uncheck in iCal and MM
I don't think you mentioned importing previously. Where are the events originally created?
.....I have a large spreadsheet of college athletic games that we keep in Excel and I import to iCal, they are ALWAYS one hour off after imported to iCal. Long before iPhone and MM too!
I don't see that MobileMe is especially different to dotmac - except that you now have explicit control over the time zone of the calendar (whereas it used to be set to the one from which you originally published).
...Honestly the TZ Support is a HUGE pain and causes Much more trouble for all than anything it is suppose to help with..., been that way ever since iCal came out...
One hour time differences often crop-up on a phone and are usually to do with daylight savings issues, but you don't mention a phone in your set-up so I am assuming this is not the case.
...again this one hour problem, has been an issue for me long before the iPhone and MM...
I have to say that I don't have issues with my calendars and I have these synced across different systems and devices, so for me it really is a non-issue. (I should also say that I travel frequently and don't have problems with events in multiple time zones either.)
...glad it works for you, but it appears this is an issue for many. I used Now Up-To-Date for 10+ years and NEVER had trouble with import/export/sync...
One thing I neglected to ask you is whether you do need to have time zone support - i.e. do you travel with any of the macs to which you sync or do you get invitations that originate in different time zones?
...I have no need for TZ Support even if I were and astronaut
It would also be enormously helpful if you would provide data on what version of OS X and iCal you are using.
    ....I am on 10.5.5 and iCal 3.0.5
    Thx Much

  • Calendar timeline one hour off

In iOS 5 on an iPad 2, using calendar after converting to Eastern Standard Time using the Week View, the Timeline is one hour off (iCal didn't register the time change). When the time is 3:00 EST, the Timeline registers 4:00 pm EST.

I had the same issue - not with Yahoo but Apple's own iCal and MobileMe.
    This worked for me:
Go to iPhone Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Calendars>Time Zone Support
Change Time Zone Support selector to "OFF" then back to "ON".
    Exit Settings
    NB: NOT Settings>General>Date & Time
My Time Zone Support selector was "on", however Time Zone showed Etc/GMT -4
When I selected Time Zone Support to "off" and then back to "on", Time Zone changed to show "New York" (my local area). Calendar events then displayed the same times as iCal/MobileMe.

  • Has there been an update or fix to the digital signature time zone off set being one hour off?

Has there been an update or fix to the digital signature time zone off set being one hour off? I have seen that in the forum that this was identified as a bug back in June 2012. Any updates on this as it is still occurring in my version of Acrobat X with all updates applied. Thanks.

  • IPhone calendar sync two hours off from iCal - Can I fix?

I purchased an iPhone 3G today, this is my second one. Since my last phone, I now have a new MacBook Pro with iCal.
When I performed the Sync today, everything was fine except for the times in Calendar, which were two hours later on iPhone. The time zones were the problem, as the iPhone was set to Cupertino (Pacific) and the computer was set to Memphis (correct zone).
Now, I have corrected the time zones on both and I have performed a new Sync and checked the box to replace information from the calendars on the iPhone with the information from iCal.
However, the times are still off.
    1. Can I fix this issue?
    2. Can I delete the iPhone calendar entries as a whole and start over and re-Sync?
Thanks for the help. It's a minor issue, but it's pretty annoying and I have tried everything I know to fix it.

How bizarre. Mine is doing this too, except it's 3 hours off. I showed up to work 3 hours early because of this. Time zones are the same on my computer and my phone. I'm not sure what the deal is.

  • Iphone sync with ical is 1 hour off?

What did i do wrong? both systems show the roper date and time but my appointments are all 1 hour off in ical?

    bruce1964,
Are your Mac, go to the Date & Time preferences. Is it set to set date and time automatically, and pulling time information from Apple Americas/U.S. Time?
    Is the Time Zone correct?
    Hope this helps,

  • Ical events 3 hours off using isync w/ Palm Tungsten T3

Hello there, I've recently started having trouble syncing my mac with my Tungsten T3. All of my ical scheduled events - present, future and even past - have jumped ahead by three hours.
The problem began after I installed Leopard 10.5. I've since reverted back to Tiger 10.4 because of several compatibility problems. But, now all of my events are 3 hours off and some of my tasks aren't syncing to my handheld and vice versa. I've install and updated the daylight savings time update from palm.com and reset my Tungsten T3 several times but I'm still have the same problem after a sync.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Janeen

After looking more closely at the .ics files exported by Oracle Calendar I see that events are exported as if they were GMT; iCal is, indeed, showing the appointments at the correct local time. This makes my first two questions irrelevant.
However, question #3 still remains: why or how does the original GMT stamp persist after manually setting an event's time zone to local time, "America/Denver"?

  • I-Cal -- Appointments one hour off

i-cal on i-phone is advancing all of my scheduled appointments by one hour. The i-cal on my i-mac has the correct appointment time, but the i-phone puts all of my appointments one hour ahead of their scheduled time. I missed two events today until I figured out what was happening.

On your iphone go to settings -> general -> date and time.
Make sure that the date, time and time zone is set correctly.
If so, try turning time zone support off, and correct date and time settings.
Go back to the home screen.
Power the iphone off and back on.
Check to see if the time for events is still an hour off.
    Hope this helps.

  • Data one hour off in VI Logger and can't use navigation bars

I believe after Daylight savings time in October my data appeared one hour behind in the Historical Data view in VI Logger. This would not be so big of a problem, but when I go to use the navigation tools to skip through the data or zoom in and zoom out, they do not work and the screen is always taken back to the original time (where there is no data because it is one hour behind.) My data is sampled at 50,000 samples/sec for about 1 minute, so it takes forever to scroll through the data at this sampling rate.
I tried re-setting the time in my Window's system, but this did not help.
    Please help!!!

    Hi,
There is a KB regarding this issue:
KB 330J3S0U: Why Do My VI Logger Timestamps Seem To Be Off By An Hour?
I would actually recommend referring to the related link on the bottom referring to Citadel Handling Daylight Savings Time. To workaround the Daylight Savings Time, 2 queries are made -- one prior to Daylight Savings Time and one after. Then the two queries are merged to get the entire range of data.
    Hope this helps.
    Kileen

  • Imported Events, All One Hour Off :-(

Just exported over 1000 events from our athletic games from Excel to Palm, so that I could save as vcal files.
All the times were correct in Excel and Palm, but after importing to iCal ALL the imported events (1000+) were now one hour earlier.
My iCal preferences did have "Time Zone Support" on.
    Weird...any help would be appreciated

    1) Make sure your BlackBerry is actually set for the correct time and time zone.
    2) make sure your PC (where your email client runs) is set to the correct time and time zone.
    3) Go ahead and install the DST patch on your BlackBerry. If its not needed it wont be applied.

  • Calender events show up one hour off..

I am trying to load my calender events onto my ipod by creating the event in outlook and saving it as an iCalender and a VCalender format then moving it to the calender folder. the event will show up on the Ipod, but every event is listed as one hour later.
any help? anyone know why this is. I know that I can also sync my Ipod to my outlook, but I don't want all my events and meeting to be copied, just a few select ones.

Make sure your time zone settings are correct on both the iPod and any computer that touches the calendar. Most calendar programs work in terms of Universal Time and use time zone variants to record time as relative to the UTC. Your devices are probably not all using the same time zone code.

  • Ical reminders one day off

All my reminders are one day off, it started about a week ago... any ideas how to fix it? Already checked the time zone in iCloud and it is correct. Thank you

I too have noticed a similar problem.
When I create a reminder on my iPhone 4S (and begrudgingly set a time, even though I want it to be all-day), it shows up in my iCal (Lion 10.7.4) as created the same day.
However, if I want to edit this reminder in iCal (i.e. delete the timed 'On a Date' message that comes with it…), the date you put–in the best way that I can desribe–has a "-1 day" attached to it.
    Scenario:
You create a reminder on the iPhone 4S for Today, 5/29/2012.
    In iCal, you:
    1. change the date to 5/30/2012.  Nothing happens (because 5/30/2012 -1 day = 5/29/2012).
    2. change the date to 5/31/2012.  The reminder changes to Tomorrow (5/30/2012).
    3. change the date to 5/29/2012, which should do nothing, but changes it to Yesterday (5/28/2012).
Any reminders created in iCal do not have this problem.
I'm hoping that this will all get fixed when Mountain Lion comes out, and reminders becomes it's own separate app on the MacBook.  I really do hope they put a field for all-day, otherwise I will seriously reconsider the use of reminders.

  • Outlook Calendar Syncs 1 Hour Off

    Hi there,
The title says it all. I'm trying to sync my Outlook Calendar to my iPhone, but the times are always 1 hour off. I've searched the forum and tried the "Time Zone Support Off" trick, but to no avail. If anyone can help me, I'd be much obliged-- I really need to get the calendar feature working.
Oh, and I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.8

    PaulFZ wrote:
Thank you for responding. I had thought of that and they are both set correctly. The computer is set to EST with the adjust for daylight savings box option checked. The phone is set for set automatically
Which may not be the same - set them exactly the same.

  • One hour off downlaod

Sine daylight savings time my 8830 makes everything one hour later on the handheld. I have installed all the DAT patchs for XP and for MS Sever 2003 and MS Exchange. I found plaae on the BB web site that allow you to download a DST patch for the Blackberry but the list of version it applies to ends with 4.2.0.73. Mine is running 4.2.2.176. Is there anyway I can correct this?

    1) Make sure your BlackBerry is actually set for the correct time and time zone.
    2) make sure your PC (where your email client runs) is set to the correct time and time zone.
    3) Go ahead and install the DST patch on your BlackBerry. If its not needed it wont be applied.
