Ical to Cellphone via bluetooth or whatever...?

Ok - this is really getting to me...
I have a samsung a900 "blade" cellphone. I can get my address book to my cell just fine using bluetooth - but why not my ical? I have no idea on where to start or whatever. I have tried to export my calendar then send it to my phone and it says their was an error. The phone also isnt supported to use isnyc. But if i can get address book to work - why not ical?? Can anybody help me? Any ideas? Anybody accomplish this yet? Is it even possible?

I used iSync , http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/isync.html , to connect to my phone. That allowed me to sync address book and calendar in one step. Doesn't matter if you have a .Mac account, I don't. It works with out it.

  • Laptop G400S Windows 7 cannot transfer file via bluetooth to cellphone

    Dear all,
I just bought the above laptop but found difficuties to transfer the file via bluetooth either to LG or Samsung cellphone.
The laptop can easily paired with two gadgets but when I try to send something it will say:
"Windows was unable to transfer some file. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time or established connection failed because connected host failed to respond".
    Anybody can help please.
    Thanks,
    Ari

I'm not sure if this will help you or not...
I did some additional testing today and "fixed" my problem.
I grabbed a new (almost fresh install of XP) laptop and installed a Jabra USB BT dongle with the MS BT Stack. Then I installed DM 5.0.1 and plugged the phone into a USB port to get it past the initial configuration.
Unplugged the BB from USB, went into Device Manager, enabled BT and searched for a new device. It forund the 8350i and finished pairing. Switch from USB to BT connection and DM5 could communicate with the phone (same as the original laptop).
Went into "Media" and selected "Receive using Bluetooth" while starting a file transfer from the PC. Transfer went through without a hitch. Tried it several more times without any problems.
Back to the old laptop, I switched off the wireless devices (WiFi and BT) and installed the Jabra adapter. Paired it with the phone and tested, transfers from the PC to the phone now work.
Unplug the Jabra and re-enabled the internal BT on the laptop, file transfers fail again.
Same computer, similar BT (both Broadcom), one works and one doesn't. I'm left wondering if there isn't some remnant of the original ThinkPad BT Stack buried somewhere (registry?) that is interfering with the internal adapter.
My next step will be to install a clean copy of XP on a new HD in the "problem" laptop and see if I can get it working. If I can then that pretty much proves there is something left over or corrupt in the current OS.
i'm going to uninstall drivers from the problematic VAIO...try installing the same drivers as i have on the Acer (working) and see if this resolves anything as I think it may have something to do with the WIDCOMM...
after inspection you should have 2 bluetooth radio device drivers and 2 RIM serial port drivers (4 & 5 i believe)...last time i tried doin it and installed 4 RIM drivers...

  • Using iPhone to connect pda to Edge via Bluetooth

Any guidance on using the iPhone as a modem to connect to Edge for pda / computer ? I had this hooked up with my previous cellphone (Sony K790a) since I already had an edge account. Until Apple comes up with ActiveSync, I would like to continue to use this for Calendar / Exchange email.
For the Sony, I found all the settings easily on the web, but I don't see anything for iPhone . . . am I missing something ?
    Thanks.

This is called tethering, and you'll have to check if your carrier supports this feature.

    Internet Tethering
Share your Internet connection with your laptop with Internet tethering via Bluetooth or USB.
Tethering is not currently offered in the U.S. and some other countries. See your carrier for availability.

  • Share Ring Tones via BlueTooth

My son can send ring tones from his phone to his sister's. His is an LG and hers is a Sony Ericson. I have an iPhone and I can get the ring tones into iTunes on my mac book pro and I can get them into a playlist on my iPhone (iPod), but we can't figure out how to get them in as choices for ring tones.
Is it possible to get them in by using blue tooth or any other way?
    thanks

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1358. This article shows you how to make ringtones using GarageBand.
Since you have a Mac, you can use GarageBand to create ringtones using your own music. They are created and then added to iTunes. From there, you sync them to your iPhone.
You can also buy a song in iTunes and then right click on the song and then select make ringtone. This is of course if the song has a bell next to it. The song will be cost whatever price is indicated in iTunes plus an additional cost for the ringtone, I believe it's $.99.
There is no way to add them via bluetooth.

  • HT3621 So why can't you tether an iphone 4S to an ipad 3 LTE via bluetooth?

I have a  iPhone 4S (VZ) and an iPad 3 4G (VZ) as my primary devices.  I've had both devices for some time.  Neither device can see the other in bluetooth discovery, yet ANY other bluetooth enabled device can tether to both devices and use data tethering. Android, windows 7, linux, phones, tablets, desktops, laptops...these all work perfectly when tethering to either device's data connection via bluetooth.   I've seen this issue across all iphone 3G or better + ipad combinations.
And yet... these devices are able to tether to each other via wifi... and recognize that they are tethered to other Apple products. iPhone to iPad and iPad to iPhone tethering over wifi works perfectly.
Very strange, especially considering Apple's own list of bluetooth profiles indicate that this shouldn't be an issue for any generation ipad, or iPhone 3G or newer.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3647
Aside from a full list of device profiles, this is also listed:
    "Personal Area Network Profile (PAN)
Personal Area Network Profile provides network connectivity over Bluetooth. With iOS this is  common with multiplayer games and Personal Hotspot on iPhone. See this article for additional information.
iPod touch and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later support Internet tethering from an iPhone with iOS 4.2.6 or later, through PAN. "
    OK!
To me this indicates that tethering should work.  One way at the very least. (ipad to iphone)
Please give us an official response on this issue Apple.

I was trying to share my 3G connection from my iPhone 5 (6.1) and my mba (10.8.3)
    Maybe I have a solution
    1-Pairing
Turn on bluetooth on the iPhone
Turn on bluetooth on the macbook
activated and detectable must be on
    "+" to add a device
    choose the iphone
    follow the instruction
On the iPhone appears a notification showing the same pairing code as the iPhone
Choose Pair (or the left handside button, I haven't got an english iPhone)
On the macbook, you receive the confirmation that the pairing is ok - but the iPhone won't connect !!
    2-Connecting whatsoever !
Just in case I reboot the iPhone but I don't know if it matters
Turn on the bluetooth on the iPhone (must be on, on the macbook too )
The macbook must show on the device list of the iPhone
    Click on it
The famous notification appears ! "Can't connect..." - DO NOT PRESS any button leave the iPhone like this
On the macbook, choose the bluetooth icon on the status bar.
    Choose iPhone
    Choose connect
There you are ! Connected !
Just press Home button on the iPhone and do whatever you do with both device.
Later on it appears that the connexion doesn't need this trick anymore . But you need to connect from the macbook end. It doesn't work from the iPhone
    Hope it helps

  • Can my MAC automatically Record Calls from my RAZR via BlueTooth ???????

Can my MAC automatically Record Calls from my RAZR via BlueTooth ?
That would be so cool !

well, that only possible if the call comes through the mac
if it was a landline, then you connect the phoneline into the modem, thru the software, then back out the modem and out to the phone. I have sucessfully done this on a windows machine
i suppose cellphones can be used as modems, so you could hook it upto the mac and then answer the call thru your mac's speakers and microphone...youll need to develop or find the appropriate software to this tho.

  • Pc & Laptop: How to share the internet connection via Bluetooth?

    Hi,
I've recently bought a laptop and i'm having trouble figuring out how to share the internet via bluetooth from my desktop pc. I can connect using the Personal Area Network (PAN) but i'm not sure how to send the internet. whatever i've been told to try so far as all failed.
i'm sure this questions been asked quite alot, so i'm sorry to ask again)
could someone tell me a step by step setup?
    (Thanks, It's much appreciated)

    Hi
Its takes longer to describe the full installation how to use the BT for internet sharing.
I have found this website with a installation instruction for Windows 2000.
The dialogs for Windows XP might be a little different, but the configuration will be the same.

  • IPhone 5s with hearing aids via Bluetooth. Need to use the phone for voice, what's the best distance that the mic will pick up your voice

I wear hearing aids that are made for Apple, the audio will go into the hearing aids via Bluetooth. I'll need to use my phone for voice only.. I drive for work and have a wok oh one too and both are synced to a bluetooh headset (LG). I'm trying to figure out how to talk on both phones ( use speakerphone on work phone?) without using a bluretooh headset.  I don't know the range of the microphone on the IPHON, thinking about hanging it around my neck or put the phone into a stand/holder on the dash and use the speakerphone feature.  Looking for ideas to make this simple

You can't do anything with that problem.
Take your iPhone to the closest Apple Store and they will give you new one for 200€/$ or if you bought your iPhone in less than 12 months you will get it for free.

I looked at the same sight for that and it does not say that.  This is the first time I have posted a question, you don't have to be mean about it.  I am trying to get this to work for a good cause.
It may be the best source of assistance is the manufacturer of the device. I suspect you will need a specific app for the iPhone to get it to work, but the site is rather ambiguous about that.

  • My iPhone 5 won't discover my iPad or any other devices via Bluetooth. Has anyone else experienced this?

My iPhone 5 won't discover my iPad or any other devices via Bluetooth. Has anyone else experienced this?

You haven't said which generation iPad you have, but this article might help you regardless:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
I imagine Keynote Remote uses Audio/Video Remote Control Profile which should be available on both your iPhone and iPad.
I think you're saying that since you got the new iPhone 5, these two things occur:
    1.  Your iPhone cannot discover your iPad
    2.  Your iPad cannot discover your iPhone.
If that's true, when you turn on Bluetooth on each of the devices, you might see old devices listed that are no longer used.  If you do, I suggest clicking the white arrow to the right of such devices and clicking "Forget this device".

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.
