  • ICal To Dos not syncing over MobileMe

This is very weird but I can't get iCal To Dos on my home computer to sync with iCal To Dos on my work computer. The Calendar checkbox is ticked in my MobileMe settings and they appear to have synced in the past but new To Dos I created at work are now not showing up at home.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Greetings,
Are you using the old MobileMe calendar or the new?

  • Integrating iCal to-dos with iWork

    Hi All,
I currently have a bunch of syllabi downloaded, and I'd like to import the assignment due dates from the Numbers file directly into my iCal to-dos. Is there a way to do this directly, or am I going to have to take a few hours and just input them all individually?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Viewing iCal To Dos on iPhone

Is it possible to view iCal To Dos on the iPhone? If so, how?

I just got my iPhone and discovered the limitation. Not good. I decided temporarily to put my to dos onto the particular dates as events without times. It's not great. But I'm thinking of every day/week copying my pertinent to dos as events. Then at least they're visible on the iPhone. Only other option I see now is Notes. Fingers crossed Apple will fix this in a future release.

  • Printing ICal to dos in priority or manual order

Hi, its my first post on these forums and I wonder if anyone can help.
I have just started using ical's to do list facility to keep on top of all the outstanding jobs requiring actioon by the department I work in. On screen, I have arranged them into a manual priority order (most urgent job top of list, etc).
I was hoping I could print this list out and take it into a weekly team briefing session and go through it with my colleagues job by job.
However, when I try to print the list, the to dos are shown in an illogical order and not as they appear on screen.
Although I can arrange my to dos on screen by title, due date, alphabetically, manually, etc, they do not print in this order (i.e. the order I am viewing them in).
I have checked the obvious preferences and there seems to be no options for doing this. Am I missing something or is it just not possible?
Any advice woule be grealtly appreciated. I am using 10.4.7.

I had the same problem and I got my To Dos to appear when I clicked on the To Dos by Priority column header and checked/unchecked the Hide Items outside Calendar View option. (Doesn't seem to make any difference whether it is checked or unchecked ... it displays all of the items ... at least until restart iCal ... then it is a bit unpredictable.)
I also have intermittent problems when I create or change a new Event. Sometimes the change does not appear until I move off the page that I am displaying and come back (e.g. move forward a week in week view and then back.)

  • Entourage Tasks and iCal "To dos" have disappeared during sync with .Mac

All of my “tasks” (both completed and incomplete) in Entourage and "to dos" iCal have disappeared, apparently during a sync with dot Mac. This problem has happened twice in the past two weeks (the first time I lost all of my Entourage “notes” too, but I haven’t put any back).
The tasks show no problems for a week and then all of a sudden disappear from both Entourage and iCal. My calendar and address book (which I also sync) seem not to be affected. Entourage doesn’t seem to offer a way to sync the calendar without syncing the tasks as well.
    Here are my questions:
    Why did my tasks disappear?
How do I prevent their disappearance again?
has anyone else experienced this problem?
My Entourage database is fine. I’m running Entourage 11.2.3 (which rencently added a feature "sync services" that allows syncing with .Mac and iCal).

  • Print Current iCal To Dos

I would like to print a list of my current to dos. How do I do this?

Please can you help? I know how to print the 'List' view from ICAL to show to dos but it seems very limited.
I really need to see the to dos in the order shown in ICAL, i.e. if I sort them by priority or by calendar this should be how they print, but they seem to show in a random order? Also the priority does not show on the printout which I want to be able to see.
I would prefer to just print my to dos with little or no calendar info. If I choose to show no all day or timed events, none of the to dos with due dates show on the printout. If I just show a couple of days worth of calendar only the to dos with due dates in this period show on the print, when I want to see them all. Also to dos with due dates that are past do not show. All a bit frustrating. I've started duplicating any to dos where I want an alarm as an event and then also having the to do without a due date so it shows when printed.

  • Where do iCal To Dos go in Mountain Lion?

I'm about to upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion but first need to know if all my (completed & not-yet-completed) To Do items in iCal will disappear, since Mountain Lion no longer has To Dos as part of iCal, but rather has Reminders as a separate App.
I have hundreds of completed To Do items that are a record of activities over quite a few years, as well as 40+ uncompleted To Do items from today out to years from now, & don't want to lose them.
    Any comments or suggestions?
    Thanks!

What I did on our two computers was partition the hard drive so that both Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion can be used on the computers. This allowed me to be able to retain/use older applications and games on the Snow Leopard partition. This will allow you to do a clean install of Mountain Lion on the newly created partition. The Mountain Lion installer has a button that allows you to select another drive so you don't install it over Snow Leopard. I cleverly name one partition Snow Leopard and the other one Mountain Lion so I wouldn't confuse the two (I never claimed to be smart).
To partition, you need to have sufficient free hard drive space (I suggest 50 GB minimum). Boot off the Snow Leopard DVD or the disks that came with the computer and use Disk Utility to partition your hard drive into two partitions. If you plan to make Mountain Lion your primary OS, then you can reduce the size of the Snow Leopard partition so most of the free hard drive space is available for Mountain Lion.
After getting all that sorted out, I found that while booted in Mountain Lion I could access the Snow Leopard partition. That allowed me to drag file and applications from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. Applications that won't work with Mountain Lion will be grayed out with a slash through them.
Not all Mountain Lion features may be available. The Apple support article below covers that:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5444
Mountain Lion doesn't act like Snow Leopard. For example, scrolling is reversed, but if you spend enough time in System Preferences, you can get the OS to be mostly like Snow Leopard.
Using some workarounds, I can access Mail, Calendar (read only), and Address Book/Contacts on the Snow Leopard partition using iCloud, which I use every night.

  • NEED iCAL "TO DOs" ON iPHONE

Why weren't TO DO's included with the iCal feature on the iPhone? Am I missing something? It seems logical that you could take your TO DO list with you on the iPhone, check off items completed, and sync it upon returning to home or office.

Proabably because this will be something included with Leopard. There is no way to sync iPhone Notes at the present time either but Leopard Mail will include an integrated Noted feature which will likely take care of this with the iPhone.
Remember that Leopard was originally scheduled to be released last Spring before the iPhone but was delayed until October due to the iPhone so I believe this is why To Do's and Notes are not currently synced.
This will likely leave those who don't upgrade to Leopard without either option and who knows what is in store for Windows users in this regard.

  • How to set a default reminder for ICal to-dos

I would love to be able to set a default reminder for all my Event to-do's in ICal.  Right now, I have to choose a reminder, and it's always preset at 11:45 PM.  I don't want my phone to remind me in the middle of the night.

Implement javax.faces.convert.Converter and convert null to "N/A" (and preferably also vice versa, else "N/A" would be submitted as actual value, if you're going to use this in UIInput components too).

  • A way to get ical to dos onto iphone via icloud?

Is there a way to do that without paying 60 euros for an app (referring to Things).
Help is REALLY appreciated since after fiddling with icloud and ical for hours in vain and wasting 9 eur on an app that wont work, l feel like crawling under the bed in frustration. How is it that Apple has made this so complicated!
PS. Why on icloud.com I can see all of my calendars except for "Reminders" – my "to do" calendar (it's correctly placed under my apple id).
PPS. I am using Snow Leopard

Thank you, but that's not very helpful since I'm already using icloud.com (I mention this in my que nr. 2) and the icloud calendar does not show my task/reminder list to begin with.

  • Ical and to-do lists

I was just wondering why iCal doesn't have another bar on it:  there's a bar on the left for our list of calendars (and a full month calendar at the bottom of that) and then you have the calendar that takes up the right side.  Why can't we have a third bar that runs along the bottom of the calendar when we have it set to look at a week at a time?  That third bar is divided up so that it aligns with the day above it.  In those spaces we could create a to-do list for that day.
Just as we are able to assign a colour to a calendar for each facet for our lives (e.g. purple for work calendar, green for meetings, etc.), we would be able to assign a colour to each task so that we know if it is work-related task, phone calls to make, errands to run, steps leading up to the completing of a project, grocery list, etc.  We could check them off when we complete them, but it wouldn't necessarily delete them.  (I hold onto old, work-related to-do lists for a year because my work is cyclical and I like referring back to them for details or a timeline.)
And just like iCal, we would be able to set a starting and ending date and time, alarm, notes, invite, URL, etc.
Or maybe I'm just asking for too much and this would only be useful to me?

Try requesting Appigo to support Mobile Me syncing?
This site is easier to browse/search for applications than the App Store in iTunes:
    http://appshopper.com/
Search for a to-do app that supports MobileMe syncing. OmniFocus does MobileMe syncing (though the HOW of it looks a little strange to me), and I assume it will hook into iCal.
Other than that, you aren't really looking for an app. You are looking for a service that keeps to-dos online, AKA in the cloud. Probably any such reputable service will hook into an iPhone app somehow, and may also have a desktop app. Or possibly you'll need a second utility that pulls into from iCal and sends it to the service.
I think I may have read that Appigo will cooperate with Toodledo.com. This post also mentions Remember the Milk, may be helpful:

  • Double iCal Events and Birthdays (and more)

I've been having issues with my iPhone long before iCloud, that repeatable events tend to appear in pairs in my phone and sometimes my computer iCal as well. I tried to modify the iCloud calendar directly, adding new event and see if bpth my phone and my computer can get it. It turns out that my iPhone gets the updated event but my computer remain ignorant of the change. What's going on

I found a fairly inefficient workaround but it works, if anyone is interested.
This will create a list of specific events and tasks and email them.

  • Numbers to ical?

is there a way to export a numbers document with dates into ical so that the dates will show up in my ical? or directly into my ical to-dos?

    Hello
As far as I know, iCal is able to import
    - iCal datas
    - vCal datas
    - Entourage datas
It seems that none of these format may be created from iWork's components.
