ICal to iPhone synch occasionally shows up as one hour earlier on my iPhone
When synching iCal to iPhone, sometimes an event will show up on my phone as an hour earlier. I have checked all the daylight savings time items, and they appear to be correct. Suggestions?
I was having the same problem, but for all events. I'd created a 2PM event in iCal, and it'd appear as 1PM on the Touch, consistently. The time zones were matched and 'Time Zone Support' was turned off in iCal.
I called Apple, the tech had no idea, but he had me erase my entire iPod (using iTunes Restore), then sync it again. It took hours, but it did eventually work. Ugh.

If it's an Audiobook, then it's probably in the Audiobook section of your iPhone. Have you set your iTunes to Sync Audiobooks with your iPhone?
Alternatively, if the Audiobook was imported into your iTunes Library as as Music, then it's going to be in the Music section of your iPhone. If so, then it will be in the Music section of your iTunes Library. To move it to the Audiobooks section, select it in the Library and choose File/Get Info/Options>Media Kind where you can change it.
You can change it to a Podcast, but since something is only a Podcast if it is delivered to your iTunes as a Podcast download (which is a process for delivering files without you having to go and find them), then your audiobook is not a Podcast and you may forget (in the future) how you obtained the book in the first place -
IPhone isn't showing up in My Devices on "Find my iPhone" page
I recently lost my iPhone 4 at an airport (or on the plane). When I first got the phone, I installed the Find my Phone app connected through MobileMe, though I don't think it was installed at the time of losing it. Fast forward to now...
I've logged into Find my Phone (now hosted on icloud.com) and I can see my iPad listed under the "My Devices", but not my iPhone. The battery is now dead as I've called it, but shouldn't it still show up in the My Devices list on the Find my iPhone page?
I'm wondering, if my iPhone doesn't show up in My Devices on Find my iPhone, does that mean it has been wiped?Thanks, Winston. I thought I'd done that, but as that sounds like a post-iOS5 update thing, I probably didn't. The funny thing is, I don't remember doing ANY of this for my iPad, yet, that device still shows up under My Devices on the Find page. Hmm...

Only option is upgrading your Mac's OSX, since Apple will not allow iOS to go backwards.

My mac timezone and iCal events are suddenly an hour early but my iPhone is correct
After traveling a few hours from my home but staying in the same timezone, my MacBook's timezone was suddenly set for an hour earlier and my iCal events too. Except when I enter an event on my iPhone (which is on the correct timezone), which syncs the correct time. So now my iCal is totally messed up. Some events an hour early (the ones that were there before traveling) and some that are accurate (the ones entered on my iPhone). I've tried the simple fixes but nothing is working. Any thoughts?

When I send Outlook invites to my iPhone (via email) the appointments appear 3 hours earlier? The time setting appears to be EST which is accurate so I can't figure out why the appointments don't appear in real time. Thanks for your help, Ellen
1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

Appointments are showing off by one hour for Yahoo users
Ok, I know there have been a few responses to this, but none seem to fit the exact issue I am having, so I'm going to ask again.
I have two users in particular, one on Outlook 2010 and one on Outlook 2013. They have hosted Exchange, and the Exchange server is 2007. The Exchange host provider is located in the Central Time Zone. Computers for my users are all set to correctly to Eastern
Time Zone. Windows 7 and 8.1 machines with all updates installed are what the users are using. I also logged into the hosted OWA option and set the time zone to EST there as well.
When I send an invite from Outlook 2010 user to another Exchange server, meeting time in the email invite BEFORE accepting shows the correct time zone for that user, and stays correct when accepting. When I send an invite to Gmail, again, shows
correct time before and after accepting. When I send to a Yahoo account, it shows the time one hour behind before accepting - essentially shows the CST time. Once I accept the meeting in Yahoo, it shows the correct time in the Yahoo calendar, but the email
with the invite still shows the wrong time, one hour earlier. And obviously if the user doesn't accept the invite but just uses it as a guide, they will show up one hour earlier.
Is this an issue for Yahoo, or Exchange 2007? It might be possible to move my client from Exchange 2007 to 2010 or 2013, but I don't want to do that if it won't fix the problem.Should be an issue with the time zone settings on all Outlook clients involved.
Has Gmail/Yahoo account mentioned here been configured into Outlook clients?
If you are using Outlook 2010 you need to use a time zone with the correct DST settings for your location. If your location does not observe DST, do not choose a time zone that does then deselect the option to automatically update for daylight saving time.

Hi, no matter what setting I change, I am having the same problem.
I invite people to an event I create on iCal, but in the invitation message received the invitees, the event seems to be scheduled for one hour earlier. E.g, I create the event for 14:00 GMT, yet the invitation message says 13:00 GMT. We are in the same time zone with the other people receiving the message. And I have my iCal settings as well as iCloud settings set to GMT.
Can you please help me? I'm really frustrated!What exactly are you doing and what version are you using with OS X 10.8?

Events moved one hour forward in the Iphone calendar

I have Iphone 3gs, 3.1.3.
Windows 7 and Office 2007.
In both of them I have marked the V on change the clock automatecly
The time in the Iphone and my PC are the same time.
I think that since I moved the clock I have this problem.
1. All the events in the Iphone calendar moved one hour forward.
For example event that starts at 9 in the outlook will start at 10 at the Iphone.
2. All the events for full day in the iphone are one day backward.
For example event that is in all munday in the outlook, is in all sunday.
I tried to delete the event are sync.
I tried to force rewrite all the calendar information in the next sync
I tried to unmark the V in the automatecly clock change.
Can someone helps me?

EladUnder the setting app in on the iPhone, go to the mail, contacts and calendar heading. At the very bottom of the calendar settings, do you have time zone support turned on?

Outlook 2000 calendar sync with one hour difference into the iPhone
Good morning,
I've two iPhone (one 3G and one 3GS) and both have the same issue. When I sync them with iTunes everything works fine but when I check the calendar entries on my iPhones everything is one hour later than the ones on my Outlook 2000. I've already checked the GMT setting on both Outlook and Windows, also the iPhone sync with my computer time and GMT when I connect it to the docking station so they are always the same.
Anyone has an idea about what is going wrong? Or is just a Outlook 2000 sync issue since I recall to have read somewhere that it's not a supported version?

DocTooth.Outlook 2000 is not supported. For contacts, these are the only supported Windows applications: Outlook 2003 & 2007, Windows Address Book (Outlook Express), Vista Windows Contacts, Yahoo! Address Book, Google Contacts. For calendars: Outlook 2003 & Outlook 2007.

When I bring up my phone's playlists in itunes, only my older playlists are showing up. None of the new playlists that I created on the actual phone are there. I think it started doing this after the last big itunes update - the one that pretty much was an overhaul...I forget which one.
Anyways - is this a sync issue? Bc I manage my tunes manually.
Any help or clarification would be appreciated.

I believe that any playlist created on your iPhone would be considered an "On-The-Go" playlist, to use old terminology. We have an article that deals with this issue, and in that article, you can find this information:
You choose to manually sync your iPod
iTunes does not save On-The-Go playlists from your iPod as new iTunes playlists. You can't see the On-The-Go playlists on your iPod in the source list and iTunes doesn't sync them for you. If you want, you can create a new playlist with the same songs in iTunes, then sync it to your iPod.

Please help me. This seems to be an on-going problem but it seems Apple are yet to have fixed it.
I use my outlook calendar and my iphone and ipad but a problem keeps occurring when I sync.
If I have a recurring appointment, say 4pm on a Monday and enter it into outlook. When I later sync and re-sync either the iphone or ipad, it shows as 4pm in these devices but when you look back at outlook, the appointment has been re-sceduled to 3pm. It only happens with recurring appointment but it seems not all. It happens even when the initial calendar entry is put into outlook first. I have switched off i-cloud. Have tried changing the time-zone settings etc. but it is still happening. I have literally wasted hours on this and it is now driving me mad! Especially as the problem has been recorded preveiously from others and the glitch has still not been sorted. How can you expect the iphone/ipad to be taken seriously as a business tool when it has such a glitch?
There is also a similar problem with the iphone/ipad where the clocks go back and forward.
If someone techy from Apple happens to read my note, please please pease can you reply to let me know if a) there is a way round it, b) if not, when will it be fixed and c) if there is a way round it, please can you tell me exactly what settings I should have on my phone in terms of time-zones....
Thank youI have this same problem as well. Updates to recurring meetings reflect correctly on my desktop Outlook and through OWA, but my iPhone shows the original meeting time/date and the updated time/date.
My colleague has a Moto Q (Windows Mobile 6) and has the same problem....so, I'm guessing this is an Exchange Server problem.

Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone
Check if you have your correct zone selected. Also, do you sync your calendars with any Mac or PC or Web service (like Google calendar)? If so, check if all your time zone settings are the same.
