ICal update And creation of a third calendar that I am now locked into
I had both a work & home calendar set up and sync'ed via M-ME. All seemed to work fine. Now, they are not syncing properly and are behaving in ways I have never seen before.
- Push syncing is no longer working. I have tried resetting the sync data with no luck. Both iphone & ipad only sync manually. This is the whole reason I have MME
- iCal has moved my two sync'ed folders under the heading listing my MME account. It then also created a third generic calendar listed under "On My Mac"
- This third calendar is a a pain in the A%& as it automatically dumps all my ical invitations into this calendar with no option to changing calendar (its locked).
- after manual sync with mobile devices, it also pushes this calendar on to them and only lets me post to that calendar. I have lost the ability to managed a home and work calendar???
- I tried deleting the calendar, but it keeps reappearing?
Any one else experience these issues or have a fix? It has been very frustrating and I would love a fix.

I'm not sure what you are creating several different catalogs. Lightroom is managed much more efficiently by using a single catalog. But regardless of that issue, it sounds as if you have turned on the clipping indicators. Pressing the J key will turn both the highlight and shadow clipping indicators on or off. Or you can click on the little squares in the upper corners of the histogram. Clicking the square on the left will turn shadow clipping on/off. Clicking the square on the right will turn highlight clipping on/off.

ADF BC application.
Situation :
I have a search screen , in which the details are shown as Master-inline table.
For the first column in the table ,I have a link,clicking on which takes to the other page for updating that record.
And below the table , I have a Button create which takes to other page for creating a new record.
Questions:
1. Can the update page and Creation page be same? If yes how?
2. How to make the first column into a link?
Note : In update and Creation , I have 2 tables linked i.e., master details.

if you simply navigate from one page to the other then the selected row currency is shown in the edit form.
If you execute a operation binding that executes the CreateInsert operation then this will create an empty new row.
The way you do this is:
- create a pageDef entry under the bindings node (StructureWindow)
- Select InsertInto Bindings and choose action binding
- In the editor, give a name to this new binding e.g. CreateInsert and select the CreateInsert operation from the underlying ViewObject
- In ADF Faces -
- add a command link to the UI
- Instead of adding a static navigation case, point teh Action property to a managed bean method
- in teh managed bean method, access the CreatInsert binding, execute it and ten navigate to the next page

When I start iPhoto it says the library needs to be updated and when I try to do that it says that the program is in use or unreadable. This is the the first time I have ever launched it. What do I do? It keeps going around in circles. I have tried re-starting the computer and re-launching the program holding down the option-command keys. Neither helped.
What version of iPhoto are you using?
This is the the first time I have ever launched it.
Does that mean there are no photos in the library? If so move it to the Trash bin in the Dock and launch iPhoto again.
If there are photos in the library do the following:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
and select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

When i try to update my apps from the app store some of the apps wont update and ask for an Apple ID that isn't mine. Whats the problem and how do i fix it? All im trying to do is update my apps and its asking for these random apple ID's.
The apps were purchased by another user with a different Apple ID. You will have to erase them and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

I went to back up my iPhone4 and it said there was an update. So I clicked on 'update and backup' (or something close to that.) It took FOREVER...way longer than usual. When it was done, it showed the power cord w/an arrow to iTunes. ***??? I restarted my computer and tried the whole process again and still...the power cord with an arrow to iTunes. And I know this means I have to go to Apple and get another phone and will lose anything that wasn't backed up. Anyone else have this happen or have a solution so I don't have to do a restore???
Reboot your computer.
Disable your antivirus and firewall.
Connect the phone to a USB port directly on your computer, not to a hub. If your computer is not a laptop and has ports on both front and back use a port on the back.
If iTunes does not recognize the phone when you connect it see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
If it STILL doesn't work open a command window and type:
netsh winsock reset
Then try again. (It seems that a recent Microsoft Windows update may have corrupted network settings; this restores them to the factory default).
BTW, was there an error number associated with the failed update? -
I have a disabled Ipad 2 and have tried to reset so that I can get back into my Ipad but nothing is working. What should I do?

I have a Mac with Mountain Lion and a MacBook Pro with Maverick. Since I synced the calendar to icloud, I get a "upgrading iCal calendar" that won't go away. How do you fix this?
Try force quitting iCal by pressing Option-Command-Esc, selecting iCal and clicking Force Quit.

I have a mac book pro and am using Maverics. I saw that there was a system update so I updated and once I did I noticed a few weird things happening.
The tabsacross my browser didn't have little x's to close them I neede to right click to close the tab
My safari wouldn't quit. It was keeping me from shutting down my computer so I force quit then shutdown.
Now my computer is having trouble turning on. It stays at the white screen with the gray apple in the middle and the small circular loading bar. and flickers between that and black.

This has been going on now since the update began.
The phone does this weather i slide the volume button to silent then back, I use the volume buttons and get that picture you see above.I restart volume off then back on. I adjust settings turning everything off include adjust volume with buttons, then back on.I check the do not disturb under settings.
I'm not an idiot, I have messed with everything, restarted, tried it on and off the charger.
Sometimes it just has no sound, like the phone doesn't realize there even is a volume as you can see in the above pic, there is no gage that even lets you mess with the volume because it's not muted, it's just not there. Then randomly at some point it comes back.
This all started after the ios 6 update, and I was hoping it would get fixed. I miss the ios5 and have been considering moving over to android with the new Samsung galaxy 3....because right now apple is not beig very technical friendly at all. -
I just did the 4.3.3 update and it erased all my calendars
all my calendar actitivies were deleted except my birthdays. i am hoping a restore will bring them back. anyone else experience this. deleted them on my ipad also
Installing an iTunes update does not remove your media or personal files.
Are the files actually missing off the computer, if so, you have a serious computer issue... not a software update issue.
Regardless, use the backup of your media and other important files to put everything back. You do have a backup, correct? -
My itunes will not update. I get a message that is saying that MSVCR80.II Is missing from your computer, Try reinstalling to fix this problem. So when i tried to reinstall, it says itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall error 7 (windows err 126) Then when i tried to reinstall i get this....Service applemovile device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priveledges to start service...the I see abort, retry and ignore....when I hit retry, it sill fails and i get the same message again. How do I fix it? Will I lose all my music if I delete it all and reinstall itunes? I haven't tried that yet.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
