ICal will not display correct "event" times

Have iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10 ) and iCal app suddenly will not display the correct Event times that I have designated in the little pop up box? Any ideas about what I can do to reset iCal or fix this annoying error in the app?

Adobe Illustrator file will not display correctly when logged in as a user

I am working with an Adobe Illustrator CS2 file that will open and display correctly if I log in as Administrator, but will not display correctly if I am logged on as a user. The error message is that there is not enough memory to display the file correctly and I am forced into preview mode. The user Home folder is on a server. Other than this, I have made certain that the criteria for opening the file match under both interfaces. I have opened the AI CS2 file on other Macs and it opens fine. I conclude that the problem is with the user Home folder, but beyond that, I'm stumped. Any help will be appreciated.

Slideshow images will not display correctly on mobile phone

Hello,
I have a website which I used several slideshows, in areas I would typically just used a rectangle and fill with photo. This was done because my client wants to be able to update the images through business catalyst. Unfortunately, when viewed on a mobile phone (I am using iOS 7) the slide show images do not display correctly.
What can be done to fix this? Is there another workaround I should try?

The images that you are using on parties page are stretched , if you check the image frame you can see that.
As a result the image frame is stretched over the side image , they are not showing properly. If you resize from Muse end , then also it would not be fixed because Muse remembers the image size as you have inserted and when viewed , Muse stretches the image to original size as how it was inserted.
Please resize the images outside Muse , use any image editor like Photoshop and then use the exact dimension of the image frame on page.
This would resolve the issue.

Plain Text will not display correctly, how can i edit html?

Hello,
my beloved MacBook Pro has been a godsend, however i have found that it is incapable of displaying Plain Text, in Text Edit, Safari (View Source), or Dreamweaver's code view. Thus, i am finding it impossible to view or edit html.
the way it displays is either all jumbled and overlapping, or spread out over impossible distances. sadly i cannot post a picture.
we also have a G3 and a G4 in the house, both running 10.3, and they also have the same issue with plain text.
I have not found any topic on this, here or in google. can someone please help?

Tom, very kindly, has got me most of the way to a happy ending.
one or another font file or cache was causing the problem. i removed all fonts from Home/Library/Fonts, then ran FontFinagler, rebooted, and things display correctly.
now i must figure out how to establish which fonts are suitable suitcases to be used.

My album artwork will not display correctly on my iPod Touch

I have a 4th gen iPod Touch. Recently, I've noticed that a lot of my album artwork is displaying incorrectly in coverflow, and sometimes not at all. I can not figure out why this is happening, as the artwork displays fine in iTunes, and actually shows up in coverflow on the iPod occasionally. However, when I turn my iPod to portrait orientation, they disappear, turn upside down and perform various other acrobatic stunts.
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

How are you adding the artwork to the songs?
You should try adding the artwork to the songs in iTunes first, not directly to the songs on the iPod (through iTunes).
If you add artwork directly to the iPod, the artwork is sometimes not displayed when playing songs.

Bug(?) with iCal - Can not change the event time

Hello all,
First of all, let me preface my question by admitting that I'm new to the Mac world, transitioning from MS environment. So please, be a bit patient
Now, on to my problem:
I have created events in iCal and I can not change the time for any event. The time that's always displayed is 15:54! I have checked the time zone setting to on/off to se if it makes a difference, but to no avail. I have also gone into preferences and under the General Tab, the Day starts at and the Day ends at: show three (3) selections; Noon, 15:54, Midnight !!???
I have changed the Show hours at a time, to see if that makes a difference, but it does not.
To add to the above mystery, I have created events with my mobile SonyEricsson K850i, with the correct time(s), date, etc., synchronized with iCal and the time changed to 15:54!!
This is a new MacBook Pro, with the latest patches! For some reason the iCal applet does not allow any changes to the time.
Any suggestions/help will be greatly appreciated.

Plastic 3D/XP look and feel, the default LAF of JDev10.1.3pre, are delivered by JGoodies, that is not supported for multibyte.

However, you will be able to see the correct button label if selecting Windows look and feel on Environment panel of IDE Preferences.

Calendar will not Display my events

When I tried to put my calendar events onto the icloud it got stuck "moving events"
Following the pointers in other discussions I turned the iCloud preferences for
Calendar and Reminders off.
While the error message is now gone, so are all of my appointments.
There was a "holiday" calendar left.
I tried resoring my calendars from time machine several times
going further and further back into history to before I tried joining icloud.
Now the "holiday" calendar is also gone.
Downloading the entire ~/LIbrary/Calendars from Time Machine didn't accomplish anything.
However, I do find a ton of events.
In ~/Library/Calendars/<name>calendar/Events
There are a ton of .ics files. Looking at them in the Finder shows an icon with the name of the event.
I still have the iCloud Calendar and Reminders Preferences turned off
How do I get Calendar to read these files?

Well....
If you find all the .ics files in ~/Library/Calendars/Events
And then copy them out of ~/Library
You can import them back into Calendar .... One .... At ..... A ..... Time ......

I'm trying to figure out that one myself. It's not apparently consistent among Outlook users who send me invites, and mostly with Updated notices.
The console gives the error "InventionItem without UID", which seems to indicate a lookup failure, but I wish there was a debug mode where I could see what string it was trying to lookup.

Pdf will not display correctly on iPhone or iPad

I put together a monthly newsletter that is 20 to 30 pages long every month for my club using iWorks Pages. The newsletter contains graphics and text on every page, a mixture of jpgs & png files all in rgb as this is meant to be viewed and not printed. I then use Acrobat 9 to "optimize" and "reduce file size" to make the file more portable. The file displays fine on my iMac and my Mac Book Pro but when I try viewing the pdf file on my iPhone or iPad, the majority of the graphics disappear. Most of the text is viewable but no other content can be seen. Does anyone know a program or another work around I'm not using that would make the graphics show up?

After installig Tiger iCal will not Publish correctly.

After installing Mac OSX v 4.0 Tiger, when I publish a calandar, the URL given says: We're sorry but we cannot find the iCal you've requested.
It's possible that it has been deleted or renamed. However, this it untrue as it is a new calendar I have just created. Please Help!!

there is no way to look up icons in an index,
There is. From iCal in the Help menu choose iCal Help. enter icon in iCal Help's search box and look at Understanding symbols in iCal. Is the symbol there? I think you'll find it's a "broadcast icon" - if so iCal thinks it is already publishing the calendar.
If you want to update the remote version of this calendar. In iCal in the Calendar menu select Refresh All. You could also set "auto-publish" on the calendar to automatically refresh the calendar after each change you make. In iCal Help search for refresh for more info about refreshing published calendars.
If the remote calendar is still not refreshing you may want to unpublish and then re-publish your calendar.

Ipods will not display correctly.

Tried to reset my Ipod touch and now only shows the apple and then shows white screen. When hooked up to the computer it does not recgonize the ipod. Any help would be great

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

ICal will not display birthdays

Yes, they are in the address book and the "Show Birthdays" box is on in iCal prefs. Would build a new prefs file but cannot find in Library. Am running latest version of OS

Discoverer List of Worksheets not displaying correctly

We are having problems with the list of of worksheets portlet not displaying correctly every time.
Sometimes the portlet displays the the list of worksheets on a white background with all the grid lines missing, other times it displays correctly.
The portal is 10g and it is running over https, running over a load balancer.
Has anyone come across this before?

If you use a private connection then they should be able to see their own list of worksheets.
