Ical will not send email

ical will not create alerts or send me an email. Even though my email is added to the account. And no alerts were created on my computer as well. Any suggestions?

Greetings w0lverin3,
It seems you are not receiving alerts while using the Calendar app on your Mac.  The following article provides some steps that may help you find a resolution:
Calendar (Yosemite): If you’re not receiving alerts
If you’re not receiving Calendar alerts
If you set an alert to occur before a Calendar event but aren’t receiving the alert in Notification Center, there are several possible solutions.
Make sure alerts aren’t turned off in Calendar preferences. Choose Calendar > Preferences, click Alerts, then deselect “Turn off shared calendar messages in Notification Center” and “Turn off invitation messages in Notification Center.”
Make sure alerts aren’t turned off in Notifications preferences. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Notifications, click Calendar, then make sure None isn’t selected as the alert style.
Make sure Do Not Disturb isn’t turned on in Notification preferences. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Notifications, click Do Not Disturb, then make sure Do Not Disturb is not set to turn on when you want to receive alerts.
Make sure you set up the alert properly. See Set event alerts and receive notifications.

When I create an event in iCal, and I add invitees, iCal will not send an email to the specified people. This only happened after I updated to Mountain Lion. Starting to get frustrating.

  • IPad 2 will not send email from any app except from my actual email app

IPad 2 will not send email from any app (eg camara, pdf edit apps, evernote ect.) except from my actual email app. It will send email from my email account in the mail app or online. Pls help :-/

    I had this problem
I hit the power button and the round button at the same time and held it until it rebooted
You get the black screen and the apple logo
When that was done I want to the app and update screen and I was able to update my apps
I suggest when you update stay on that screen until they all update
I find it sometimes get stuck updating when I leave the screen as they are updating and do other things, but I could be wrong. It just seems to me that is when it happens.
The reboot works and don't worry you don't lose anything when u reboot it's like shutting down a computer and powering it back up. Everything you had before will still be there.

  • Have a new iPad with ios6.  Will not send emails. Addresses are valid  but get notice each time that recipient was rejected by the server.  No help on web site, and Apple's only manual is for previous os version.  We miss Steve Jobs.

Have a new IPad with IOS6.  Will not send emails.  Addresses are valid but get notice each time that "recipient was rejected by the server."  Apple has apparently neglected to put out a manual with IOS6 and the previous manual has no indication of what to do.  Really miss Steve Jobs.

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

  • Iphone will not send email

All of a sudden, my iphone will not send email to AOL. It says user name [email protected] is incorrect. I have rebooted, reinstalled and changed password that works fine on aol, still receives mail but will not send.

It looks like your SMTP server setting for AOL is wrong. I think it should be smtp.aol.com.

    Hey craggee,
Thanks for the question. This is usually do to a limitation by your ISP/email provider:
If you are only able to use your email account while connected to your home network, this may be a limitation put in place by your email service provider. For further support, please contact your email service provider directly.

  • My iPad will not send emails, even though all the settings seem correct.  But it receives them OK.

My iPad will not send emails, even though all the settings seem correct.

    Patricia,
When you say seem correct, have you checked in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Account name > Outgoing Mail Server, SMTP and the outgoing server name is correct, then > Primary Server name is correct >  Host Name, User Name, redo the Password, Use SSL is OFF or ON according to your provider, may just try it both ways, Server Port, often 25 is the best to use.

  • IPhoto will not send email

Latest updates to iPhoto 11 installed. iPhoto will not send email of photos. The "send" indicator moves all the way to the right and shows as a solid bar, but the email is never sent. Any suggestions?

    This is ridiculous.
For the past 5 years I've easily emailed photo's from iPhoto. Then, I get a new edition. Now, iPhoto wants all the detailed BS that I've already put into my email account.
REALLY, it wants to FORCE me to sign up for MobileMe. Which, I have, but I refuse to cave to stupidity - even when it's from Apple.
Apple's development staff just pulled a Microsoft - take something that's worked for a decade and drastically change it so that it's a pain in the butt for their loyal base.
    Bummers. Apple is usually smarter.

  • My icloud, my mac emails will not send emails

i am un able to send emails from my iphone using Icloud, Mac or Me emails accounts. i can recieve but will not send . it shows in my sent box the emails is delivered but it never does. i have deleated and reinstalled the emails account many times but no luck ....

How are you installing iCloud mail.
A more general approach to remedying such problems would be to turn off Mail in System Preferences/Settings > iCloud, checking the account has been removed from Mail (and deleting it if it hasn't), restarting and then enabling iCloud Mail again from System Preferences/Settings > iCloud. This will ensure the correct settings are used.

  • HT1430 my iPhone will not send emails.  I have checked the settings and reset the phone, it still does not work. Any suggestions?  Thanks

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.  Mail on my iphone will not send any messages.  I have followed the Apple instructions and still it won't work, even after resetting my iphone.  My email provider is BT.

    To Avoid Relaying:
If you are sending an email from, say, [email protected], but the return address is [email protected], that is relaying (you are using y.com's servers to send an email where the email "originates" from b.com).  Many servers don't allow relaying to prevent spamming.
To make this work go into the email account settings, tap the account "button" that has your email address, go to the Advanced section in "Mail" if there is one, then go to  "Outgoing Mail Server",  tap it, and then tap "Primary Server", and in the Outgoing Mail Server enter your user name and password.  It may say optional, but you need this.
Not all services provide this and the sequence of buttons I describe above may not be exactly the same for each address (look around if different).  If you can't set the user name and password, then that email service does not provide a way to get around relaying.
