• ICloud Calendar will not sync with iCloud

I am at a complete loss here. I have my work MBA running Yosemite and connected to my iCloud account. I also have a personal MBP, iPhone and iPad, all running the latest OS and Patch, all connected to my iCloud account.
For 98% of it, it works and syncs perfectly. Except for the calendar on my MBA. Calendar works and syncs perfectly everywhere else, MBA works perfectly with iMessage, FaceTime, Contacts, Keychain, etc, etc, etc.
Basic troubleshooting I have performed:
Rebooted MBA (obviously)
Attempted to remove calendars from syncing with my iCloud account (unsuccessful) - will not remove calendars.
Attempted to remove entire iCloud account from MBA (unsuccessful)
i have signed out everywhere on my MBA, when I go to System Preferences > iCloud and attempt to sign out, it fails.
When I go to Internet Accounts, iCloud keeps coming back as "INACTIVE" with nothing checked.
When I go through all the apps, Calendar is the only one that shows the iCloud data (iMessage shows me as signed out, same with App Store, iTunes, FaceTime, Contacts, etc)
Rebooted MBA multiple times throughout the process, to no avail or difference
Performed a repair install of Yosemite through the recovery console
After repair install, iCloud calendars still show up, even though my iCloud account under System Preferences shows me as signed out
After repair install, signed back into iCloud to see if I could re-sync calendarsiCloud shows me as signed in and Calendars as successfully setup
Upon launching Calendars, i get the spinning wheel in the top left of my calendar app and new calendar items created on the MBA do not sync with iCloud (website or other connected devices)
Created new calendar item on other devices as well as iCloud website, calendar item never shows up on MBA
So, aside from a complete format of the hard drive, can anyone think of any options I haven't tried? Or some way to completely reset one app (such as Calendar)

Needed to add some clarification here:
iCloud shows me as signed in, but Calendars are NOT checked
Internet Accounts shows Calendars as syncing

• MacBook Air will not sync with icloud

my macbook air will not sync with my icloud account.
I have tried reseting the i cloud preferences and have trashed the calender caches
still does not sync.

If you haven't already done so, go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, restart your Mac and go back and sign back in. This deletes the iCloud account and iCloud data (if any) from your Mac but not from iCloud. Your iCloud data will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in.

• Notes will not sync with iCloud?

OK, so I've been using the developer releases of ML for some time. During that time, even after the GM release, Notes would not sync with iCloud. I thought that the problem would be resolved once ML was released, but I still keep receiving an error when I try to turn on Notes for iCloud.
Is anyone else having this problem? Can you help me with a solution?
Thanks,
Clinton

I've tried to - for months - but on my Mac, I keep getting this message:
I wait moments, days, months, but still no joy!

• Reminders on iPad will not sync with iCloud

Hi everyone. I have made the transition to iCloud on my Mac, iPhone and iPad 2. Everything seems to be working fine with Mail, Calendar and Contacts. I am not able to get Reminders on the iPad to sync lists in iCloud. Or, if I create a Reminders list on my iPhone, it will not show up on the iPad. The iPhone list does show up in iCal, where it's supposed to. Any idea why the iPad is left out? I have checked all of the iCloud settings, Notifications, etc. and they are all set to share Reminders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I've got iCloud all settled down between my iMac, iPad and iPhone, and love it.
But this morning I noticed that a reminder I created on the iPad did not appear after an hour in iCal on my iMac. So I started creating test reminders. A reminder made on iMac would appear instantly on iPad, but a reminder on iPad would not appear on iMac. Settings all fine all around (same iCloud account and reminder calendars). I turned of Reminders in iCloud on the iPad settings, then turned it back on. A couple of minutes later all the iPad reminders appeared on iMac, but who knows if that worked, or it just needed time. So I figured all was well and deleted the test reminders on the iPad, but several minutes later they have not been removed from iMac.
So signed into my iCloud account: the test reminders were gone from there. I left it alone for a while the reminders eventually went away from the iMac. Puzzling, but it works.
If testing, best to check all three places at once: iDevice, iCloud account in Safari, and iMac.

• IPad 2 iOS 5 Pages will not sync with iCloud

I have my iPad 2 fully updated [iOS 5, latest pages update] and I turned on the options for using iCloud; however, when I go into pages, all I see are a bunch of up arrows in the upper right corner of each document and nothing is syncing. I have the iCloud setting for doc sync turned "on" and the Pages option to use iCloud turned "on."
It has been over 10 hours since I turned all this on, I connected my iPad to a power source [its connected to a good WiFi] and went to bed - its still not synced.
I have migrated my Mobile Me account over to iCloud, and I click on the 'iWorks" and it only gives me the Giraffe and the "Use Pages with iOS" but nothing will change.
Thoughts? Is it just too soon executus? [sorry bad reference]. It looks so very exciting! I cannot wait for my iPad to live sync through pages! I've been using dropbox and other word processing apps for so long >< I cant wait to be able to rely solely on pages!!!

Did you set up iCloud on the iPad in the settings?
I set up my iCloud account on my iPad and on iCloud.com and updated Pages this morning and my documents uploaded right away. The up arrow indicates that the documents are uploading or ready to upload - at least that's what I assumed.
Try quitting pages and restarting your iPad your iPad - you might as well restart the Mac while you are at it - and then try it again.
You did update Pages so if you did this should work.
To quit Pages - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close Pages by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Pages app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

• ICal will not sync with iPhone

When I tried to sync an appointment created on the iPhone with iCal it will not show up in iCal.

I just posted this to an earlier question on an issue very similar. Might help some of you watching this topic.
This process, which AppleCare gave me last night worked to solve my problem. However, I have one nugget to add to the fix, a faster process to try first.
EDITED FROM PREVIOUS POST:
Try these steps to narrow down the offending calendar and/or event.
1. create a new calendar in ical. Name it test, iphone or something.
2. uncheck all your calendars in ical, so you can only view the events in the new calendar
3. put a test event in the new calendar ( in the future). Call it Test 1.
4. connect up your iphone and set the iphone to sync only to that new calendar.
5. In the info tab that shows up when the iphone is connected, make sure to sync ical calendars is checked
6. Set it to sync only selected calendars.
7. in the window that shows all the calendars, only have the new calendar checked.
8. put a check mark in the box not to sync items older than... Set it to 1 day.
9. Now click apply in the bottom right side of itunes. (this will see if the iphone can sync to ical)
10. Once you have established that the iphone can sync, go back into the info tab and uncheck the new calendar created and check only one of your old calendars.
11. Click apply and try to sync the iphone to that particular calendar.
12. Keep un-checking a calendar that syncs and check a different calendar until you run across a calendar that does not sync. The one that gives you a disconnect error.
13. Now that you've narrowed it down to the offending calendar, you know that it has to do with an event from yesterday and forward. (ED.- in my experience, this DID NOT prove that the event was limited to the time you specify for the sync. But it does no harm to narrow the scope for iPhone.)
14. Go back to ical and put a check mark in the calendar that is giving the issue. So now you see the new calendar created and the offending calendar.
15. Now you need to figure out which event/events that are causing the problem.
NEW STEP 16. Fast fix (try this first, and if it doesn't work, you'll try the longer piecemeal process.)
Cut and paste All events to your new test calendar. The fastest way do this is to open the list of events by clicking on the list icon (3 lines) on the bottom left of ical.
17. Sort by title and if any events show up with a blank title, fix these or delete them.
18. Sort by type of item so you only select the events, and not any ToDo items.
19. Shift click at the top of the list, shift-click at the bottom of the list and everything should be highlighted. Then, with the cursor on one of the items highlighted, Control-click and a menu will open. Select Calendar, and then your test calendar. This moves everything into your new calendar.
17. Try to sync.
In my experience, ical fixed some items that were queer by moving them to a new calendar. My original calendar was imported from Outlook.
If this doesn't work, you'll need to try again by creating another test calendar and then moving over a few items at at time, syncing after each import, wading through your events until you find the culprit.
We return to our regular programming here:
16. Start moving events over a few at a time to the newly created calendar and sync the iphone only to the new calendar. You can move events 2 ways.
16A. if you have the tray to the side expanded so you can view the details of the event, you can change what calendar it is in.
16B. At the bottom of ical there is a button to the right that allows you to view all evens in a list view. You can right-click or control-click on the event and move to a different calendar.
16c. CORRECTION TO ORIGINAL POST Sync iPhone.
17. Keep following step 16 until you receive the the disconnect error.
18. When you get the disconnect error again, you know that the last batch of events has the offending, or one of the offending, event/events.
If you run through all of your calendars and do not receive the disconnected error, then the data that was disconnecting the iphone was older data. (ed. -In my experience, this proved false. the error was buried in old data, even though I had the setting at "1" day.)

• Calender will not sync with icloud

In system prefs / iCloud I can see that something is wrong. I have marked the calender&reminders choice but its grey (not black as it should be) and it says "setting up". And there we are. Nothing happens. icloud works fine between iphone and Icloud. But something is wrong between mac book (mountain lion) - icloud. I have tried the tips i can find on the support page. Uirn things on and of etc. But nothing changes.
I would be glad if someone out there could help me?!

You might try the following:
1. Sign out of your account
(If you are unable to do this because System Preferences has frozen, Force Quit System Preferences and try again)
2. When prompted, opt to delete, contacts, calendars etc from your Mac.
(You are only deleting this data from your Mac, not from iCloud, the data will be reinstated when you log back in. If you need to check that the data is in iCloud before deleting it go to iCloud.com and check each section for data)
3. Having logged out, check that the iCloud accounts along with their data have disappeared from the Mail, Address Book and iCal Applications.
(If necessary, delete the iCloud accounts from each of these application separately from each Applications Preferences)
4. At this point it may be worth trying to log into iCloud from the System Preferences iCloud settings again, if this works, all well and good, if it doesn't continue to step 5.
5. Open your User Library folder in the Finder. (When in the Finder, go to the Go menu, hold down the option key (alt) and choose Library when it appears in the Go menu)
6. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iCloud and drag the iCloud folder to your desktop. (This action only copies the folder and will provide you with a back up)
7. Select the iCloud folder again in Library > Application Support and drag it to the trash, enter your administrators password when prompted.
8. Restart your computer.
9. You should now be able to enter your ID and Password in system Preferences > iCloud and log into your account. Check the services you wish to use and once you are satisfied it's working as it should, trash the iCloud folder you copied to your desktop earlier.
