Ical won't sync with iPhone 5, iPad 2 or macbook pro.

I have updated my devices and now my ical won't sync with iPad 2, macbook pro or iPhone 5.  How can I refresh them so they will all sync together.  I just noticed that when I added an event on my ipad2 it did not show up on my macbook pro.  I turned iCloud off then on again.  I also turned calendars on and off again.  Then the event disappeared from my iPad also.  So now it is only on my iPhone 5.  How do I sync ical with all my devices?

Anna,
I have tried everything suggested by the apple support webpage.

  • My ical won't sync with iPhone 4 after IOS 6.0.1 update

My ical won't sync with iPhone 4 after IOS 6.0.1 update. The "sync calendars" option is no longer available after I installed this update. Any ideas???I have tried a few times to sync, and nothing has changed on my calendars. I have had so many troubles with this update. Grrr...

I tried the same but it did not worked. But, i got a solution. I accessed gmail on my laptop. Went to gmail settings. There is a option to add a device. A iPhone was already listed. I clicked Revoke to remove it. Then i clicked add new device and gave it iPhone name and a new 16-20 character password was geenrated. I used it to configure gmail on my Iphone and it worked beautifully. So glad i have been able to fix this. That password is a one time password to authenticate that device.

  • Ical won't sync with iPhone. I can't reset sync history in Lion anymore?

i'm pulling my hair out! my ical just won't sync with my iphone anymore. i wanted to reset sync history as suggested in some forums but lion doesn't have isync anymore.
it is so frustrating as it is supposed to be easy to sync apple products!
    any ideas?
    thanks again
    ian

Thanks John, you're a star! it's back to normal, it was hours last night resetting my iphone but no luck. I reset my sync services this morning and it works!
Why have Apple made it so difficult to do this, why hide things away? I spent ages looking for my library the other day as that was hidden! Mad!
    Much appreciated John,

  • Ical won't sync with iPhone over iCloud

I have an iPhone 3GS which doesn't want to sync with ical.
I am successfully syncing ical between my MBP and icloud and vice versa, but the iPhone won't work. I have tried everything suggested by the apple support webpage. And everything else that i have found on google, so i'm after any other ideas?
I have restored the phone at least twice, and still no luck. I am running latest version of ios...
With icloud for ical turned on on the phone a LOT of battery power is wasted, with 0 use of phone it went down 20% in 1 hour. It looks like it's constantly trying to update, but nothing comes down to the phone, or goes up to the cloud.
I am successfully syncing contacts between the phone, cloud and MBP - though this wasn't entirely straightforwards due to duplicates and other such issues with the phone.
I'm getting very frustrated! The only bit I really *need* to sync to my phone is the ical. I can manage without everything else! Sigh.

  • ICal won't sync between iPhone and iPad

My iCal will not sync from my iPad to my iPhone.

If new events added to the calendar on your phone do not appear on your calendar on icloud.com, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar on your phone and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPhone, a Gmail or Yahoo calendar, etc.  If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
If your settings are correct and new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your phone to your calendar on icloud.com.  Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On.  Then add a new event on your phone and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com and your iPad now.

  • ICal won't sync with iPhone

    Hi,
I am having a similar problem as others but I cannot understand all of the directions given.
There are many different sets of directions and not sure which to follow.  Not only that, a user will say to go to a particular folder and I have no idea where to find that folder.
I have 10.8.2.  I recently purchased an Air (had a Pro before) and now my calendar never syncs so what is on my phone never transfers to my calendar, thus making my calendar useless.
If you're going to give directions, please go step by step.  Although I am not computer illiterate, I seem to have a hard time figuring out what everyone else seems to get immediately!  Rather than say, find folder abc, please tell me where that folder is, how to find it, etc..... basically, I need baby steps!
Thought this would be easier, sorry for any inconvenience!
Please help.  Have been trying to resolve this for some time.

    akw942,
If you are attempting to sync Calendars with WiFi, or USB, try: iOS: Syncing with iTunes.
If you are using iCloud, try iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar.

  • ICal in Mac won't sync with iPhone or iPad

I just updated to Lion on my MacBook and I am trying to do the wireless/iCloud sync for my appointments in my calendars.  Everything works fine between my iPad and my iPhone but there is nothing happening from my MacBook to my devices.  Appointments put in my MacBook do not show up in my iPhone and appointments put in iPhone don't show up in the Mac, even with a wired sync. Before the update I was doing the regular wired sync and it was working fine, and now nothing.  Is there a setting I am missing?  Yes, I am connected to the internet etc.  I do not use MobileMe or anything else.  This is just a iCloud, iTunes or iCal issue.
    Thanks!

    Maxine,
Use iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar to help solve your problem. If the link says unavailable when your click on it, just refresh the page and it will display properly.

  • ICal won't sync with iPhone 4

I am having trouble syncing new events onto my iPhone. I have made some new entries on iCal on my iMac but when I synch my iPhone 4 these new events are not on my iPhone calendar. I have tried ticking the box to overwrite the information but even after I do this it still won't put on the new events, but oddly the other events are still on my iPhone, some being old entries that I have had set up for ages (reoccurring events) and some being entries that I made on my iPhone.
Why won't these new events that I make on my iMac synch with my iPhone?

  • My ical will not sync with iphone and ipad since I've been using icloud. It says URL is incorrect. But what is the correct one and where do I input that to enable all calenders to sync on all devices?

What is the correct URL for my ical on my MacBook so that all devices will have the same information? And how/where do I update that?
    Thank you.

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.
turning of locator and the push notifications from facebook--they have a lot!

  • ICal won't sync with iPad, iCal won't sync with iPad

My iCal won't sync with my iPad. Anyone know why? The iPad takes on the iCal but the iCal won't take the iPad entries.

    Hello Squeegeefrog,
Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
You mention that iCal (or Calendar on OS X Yosemite) won't sync with your iPad.
Are you using iCloud Calendar? If so, the advice and  troubleshooting steps in these articles can help you sync the calendar on your Mac with your iPad using iCloud:

Have a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8 Leopard.  Can I just download 10.6.8 Snow Leopard so I can wifi sync with iPhone and iPad?

    To expand on Niels post...
First you need to check that your current Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
    Snow Leopard Specs:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If it does... then you need to Purchase and Install the Snow Leopard Disc,
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
( It should be noted that Apple will send paid MobileMe members the Mac OS X 10.6 DVD for free.)

  • Avoid installing iTunes 11 if you are a Windows user. Calendars, etc will not sync with iPhone or iPad. Anyone have a fix?

After installing iTunes 11.0, Outlook Calendars, etc will not sync with iPhone or iPad. Anyone have a fix?

I'm also seeing weird sync issues since upgrading to iOS 7.  The sync issues started when I first upgraded to iOS 7 so I suspect that iOS 7 is to blame and the other system differences aren't an issue (i.e. I also upgraded to Windows 8.1 but it never worked properly when I was on Windows 8).  For me, the only way to "sync" all the smart playlists and music is to restore from backup and then the first sync seems to work.  However, I haven't tried that recently (I tried it a month back or so and it worked then) because it is ridiculous to have to restore your phone just to sync things!  Apple needs to fix the iOS 7 quality issues.
