Icalendar | Imported calendar events not synching

I just imported several years worth of events into icalendar on my iMac (mountain lion). I imported these from an outlook file.
Ical has categorized these calendar events as "On my Mac" and I have named them "palm". (All of these events were shaded in grey. I changed them to yellow.)
Unfortunately, I don't see these calendar events on my ipad or iphone.
I would like these events to synch via icloud to my ipad and iphone. Is there a way to do this other than clicking on each calendar entry and manually changing the 'color' ?
Other than these 'imported calendar events", all other calendar entries (icloud : "work", "calendar" & "home") 'synch' via icloud between my imac, ipad and iphone correctly.
See attached screen shot.
Thanks in advance!

Linc Davis - That method didn't work. It would drag down but wouldn't stick. Just returned to orginal position.
Fortunately I found this and it worked.

  • IPhone 4S Calendar will not synch to OutLook 2010 from 1 of 2 phones

Problem: iPhone 4S Calendar will not synch to OutLook 2010 from 1 of 2 phones. Contacts synch fine. Was no problem in the past until...
Sorry for the length. Trying to give all info I can.
Summary: Had to get motherboard fixed under factory warranty which included new hard drive, and reinstall everything on an HP DV7 laptop. So this is a clean installation of everything on the laptop (Win7). Configuring iTunes and Outlook 2010 for two iPhone 4S users (myself and wife) was my last step. Re-established each user account to iTunes. Calendar synch problem popped up on one of two iPhones that did not exist before.
Prior history: all synchs worked great prior to the clean install and I never had a problem.
Config: Windows 7, two iPhone 4S, Week Calendar apps on both. All software up-to-date on iPhones and Win7 (fanatic about that). Had OL2010 PST datafile backups and simply used them for the OL re-installs. OL2010 makes that easy. Each user has their own Win7 login to keep our stuff separate. Of course, OL has Calendar as part of its install.
Week Calendar apps on both are configured with same calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). Verified each iPhone Calendars app, Calendar button: From My PC listing has all these checked: All From My PC, Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work; Other: Birthdays.
Difference: In using iTunes to synch, iTunes said the iPhone account was different from the OL account and asked to merge or replace. Apparently this is normal for iTunes on a new install (since basically it is) synching to prior synched stuff.
iTunes settings for both: Connect iPhone for each user and checked INFO settings for Contacts and Calendars.I used “selected calendars” and verified. Each user has all four calendars checked.
NOTE: Prior to each users first synch below, neither user had anything in OL2010 Calendar. Can't blame on recurring events problems in OL. ALL the events are on the iPhones and are being synched TO the PC to populate OL2010 Calendars.
Additional Note: Contacts was already loaded into OL from my backups so synching has no problem.
User 1 iPhone: Success 1st try.
In iTunes, selected “merge info” instead of replace.
Results: User 1 synched fine from iTunes to OL2010 including the 4 Calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). 4 calendars showed up. No problems at all. Wonderful! expected behavoir.
User 2 iPhone: Still failing to synch.
In iTunes, selected “replace” instead of merge info. Apple’s dialog is incredibly confusing and non-explicit on what copies to what and what it does.
Results: User 2 synched fine from iTunes to OL2010 for Contacts. DID NOT synch the 4 Calendars (Calendar, Home, My Birthdays, Work). Only calendar that shows up in OL is Calendar and it doesn’t contain any data. iTunes has no errors and the synch status bar indicates everything went fine.
Tried: I deleted the PST files and copied the backup files back to OL to start over. ITUNES no longer gives me the merge info versus replace option. I’ve synched multiple times but the calendar data will not synch.
Not Tried: Creating the same remaining named calendars (Home, My Birthdays, Work) in OL and trying again.
    ALL suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Ok, new info. This gets better and better.
In OL2010, the Calendar in the navigation pane had no arrow indicating it had subcalendars within it. I right clicked on Calendar and chose New Calendar. It gave me a list of the existing calendars that were missing !!
When I cancelled, there was an expand arrow next to Calendar in the Navigation pane !!!!!
Expanding it showed the unchecked missing calendars. I checked them and synched again.
WRONG THING TO DO! ALL my wife's calendar entries in her iPhone since the laptop went down 3 weeks ago DISAPPEARED. No warnings, nothing at any step of this process. The OL files overwrote the iPhone data.
I can't find any way to get them back as this **** iStuff relies on iTunes for everything.
Is there any way to get her files back from before this synch?
Is there no way to save data files off the iPhone w/o iTunes?
Why doesn't iTunes let you control the direction of data transfer?
I now have one very ****** off wife.

  • All day calendar events not being displayed in the notification centre for iphone 5 post ios 7 upgrade. Please help. Is it a bug?

All day calendar events not being displayed in the notification centre for iphone 5 post ios 7 upgrade. Please help. Is it a bug?
With iOS 6, the all day events showed up in the notification centre but it lacks in the upgrade iOS 7.

Same problem here. Some people pointed out that all-day events do show up in their notification center, but that seems only to be the case for birthdays (and only as text like the weather). I've tried it myself on my iPhone and iPad and it did work for birthdays but not for any other all-day events. I already sent this to Apple as a product feedback as well, as should everyone of you. The more people mention it, the faster Apple's going to fix this issue. In its current state, notification center is not a very helpful feature in my opinion. There's absolutely no point in not showing all-day events in the 'today' calendar overview.
Here's a link to the product feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
I posted my message in the iPhone section since I couldn't find a page specifically dedicated to iOS 7.
I really love the look & feel of iOS 7 but it's kinda sad to see notification center not tapping its full potential.
    Cheers!

  • Iphone calendar does not synch with outlook

Starting on Feb 1, my iPhone (5s) does not synch with Outlook (2013). Have tried many things:
    1. Building new Outlook data file (.pst)
    2. Changing synch settings in iTunes
    3. Changing USB cables
4.Removing/reinstalling iTunes and other Aplle software
Problem seems to have started after upgrading iOS and iTunes.
    Any idea?

Yes, that does make sense. You can transfer data from the old .pst file without saving it as a .pst file. Archive your current .pst. Then save your contacts as vCards, and save your calendar as an iCalendar file. After creating the new .pst file, you can open the old calendar in the new .pst as well as import the vCards back to your contacts.
Last question, did you run the scanpst.exe program to review your .pst file for corruption? You will find that, if I remember correctly, in the Office program folder. You can search for it. Run that, it prompts you for your .pst file and will scan it for problems. But saying that it started on a specific date would lead me to believe it is something you probably added that day. Out of all of the time I've been using Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013 with my iPhones, and I've had them since the first one, I've only had 2 small events, and copying over the .pst has fixed them both.

  • Why are all-day calendar events not appearing in the Notification Center?

I've noticed that all-day Calendar events do not appear in the Notfication Center in iOS. This is a glaring omission and I'm not sure if it's related to a bug or is intentional but it should be fixed right away. Why in the world would you leave out an all-day event from the Notification Center? What if I had a wedding anniversary or some other important event to remember?

IOS / is no out for a couple of weeks and Apple seems to be reluctant to fix this problem. As a business device it becomes rediculous to be not able to see my calender entries anymore in the notification center. Is Apple now leaving the business arena and focusing on toys ?

  • TS3999 my outlook calendar is not synching through icloud even though both PC and iphone set up that way

This is weird, i am not good at open inquiry.. but think something simple is not set.  I did have synching initially when accepted icloud synch, instead of direct connect of iphone and PC.  Something has changed on Calendars and thus appts are not synching.  HELP!

If new events added to your phone are not appearing on your calendar on icloud.com, one thing to check on your phone is Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar.  This should be set to your iCloud calendar.  Then add a new event on your iPhone calendar and see if it syncs to icloud.com properly.
If your settings are correct and new events on your phone are still not syncing to your calendar on icloud.com, add any missing events on your iPhone to your calendar on icloud.com.  Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your calendar will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On.  Then add a new event to your phone and see if it syncs to icloud.com now.

  • Calendar is not synching

Can someone help me get my calendars to synch through icloud?

First go to Settings>iCloud on your iOS device and make sure Calendars is turned on.  Then add a teste event on the calendar on your device and see if it appears on icloud.com.  If it doesn't, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) and be sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default and not something else like On My iPhone, a Gmail or Yahoo calendar, etc.  If you haven't, make this change, then add a new event and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.
If your settings are correct and new events still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing calendar events from your phone to your calendar on icloud.com.  Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On.  Then add a new event on your phone and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com now.

  • Calendar is not synching with iOS devices

The calendar app on my home-based iMac is not synching-up with my iPhone/Pad. Save for one or two random events, almost nothing shows up on my mobile calendars. In fact, my iMac's app has like 15 categorized calendars whereas the iOS app has only the generic five categories that I don't know where they came from.
Oddly, on my iMac app, the side column that lists those 15 categories has the heading "iCloud" and then below that it has the heading, again, "iCloud" and below that are those five that DO show up on my iOS apps. Also below that is another heading "US Holidays" and "Birthdays" neither of which I actively generated.
Now, out of all these discrete calendars (well over 20 at this point) only three of them have, to their right, a mystery icon resembling the sound waves of a WiFi connection which I take to mean these are synched wirelessly but it's not consistent with those calendars which do show up on my iOS. It's like it's completely random.
I have no idea what's going on. All setting seem to be in order. All software is uptodate. All the other apps I have set to synch are doing so, e.g. Contacts, etc.
    Any suggestions?
    alan b

    That's just ridiculous.
I just want the iPhone to sync with my iMac after I've been out. And I want my iMac to sync with my iPhone after I've been at my desk.
It was fine before the update to Mavericks.
    Please fix this Apple!
I don't use iCloud. I don't need to. And it feels like I'm being forced to use it.
Maybe I should switch to Windows.

  • Calendar events not showing in notification centre

Was hoping there was someone out there that may have experienced the same problem, and has a solution.
I have noticed this morning that after upgrading to OS X Yosemite, I do not have my calendar events showing in notification centre. I cannot be sure that this is a result of upgrading to Yosemite.
Problem #1: In the today tab on notifications, an event did not show up for today, in both notification centre on my Mac, and on my iPhone. This seems to have been solved by changing the event from an all day event, to set hours. Is there a way that all-day events can be shown in notification centre?
Problem #2: In the today tab on notifications, down the very bottom, my Mac says there are no scheduled events for tomorrow. On the same tab on my iPhone, it says "there are 2 all-day events scheduled". Similarly, the event is listed in the notifications tab (not the today tab), in notifications centre on my phone, until you press on the event and it flicks you through to your calendar. Is anyone aware of why these events would not be showing up on my mac's notification centre?? I am assuming it has nothing to do with changing it from an all-day event, because it shows up on one device, but not another.
Calendar is switched on for notification centre on iPhone and mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I found when I created an event, I needed to add an alert to it. Then it started showing up.

  • Family shared calendar events not showing in Today pull-down

    iPhone 5s
    IOS 8.0.2
When I pull down the Today/Notification screen, the calendar section will not show any events that are entered in the Family Shared calendar. Calendar events in other calendars show up fine. Is this a configurable option?

I should fix a mistake in the original post. Where I said, "And when tomorrow comes around, those events don't show in the Calendar app," it should be, "And when tomorrow comes around, those events don't show in the Calendar section of notification centre."

  • Calendar events not being sent immediately.....finding out when I created an event.

I recently created a calendar event on my iPhone 5.  I invited an attendee who received the event too late (approximately 36 hours later).  Is there a way to verify and view when I created the event?  Also, is this a common problem?  Why would this have happened?  It definitely makes me not trust using the calendar app for creating and sending event invites.  It is CRITICAL that I view when I created the event.  Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

    Hi Dave,
From your description, the mailbox you use for conference is not a special room mailbox. It is a standard user mailbox. I think that is the problem, it should be configured as a room type and not a user mailbox.
If I have misunderstood your concern, please feel free to let me know.

  • Subscribed calendar events not as busy

Hi, when i wanna subscribe to a calendar, is there a way to show its events not as busy, but as free? Or does this have to be setup by the person who created/published the calendar/events?

    Already resolved!
Turns out that the email also contained an address. Since the address was not on new lines; the location in the event had new lines coded in it. Exchange doesn't like this!
So; copied the address in the event; cleared it, pasted it back (removes line breaks?!) and then wahoo: sync!

  • Calendar events not showing up in Notification Center

Hi, somehow my calendar events don´t shop up in the notification center. My standard calendar is googlemail synced via ical, but the problem is the same even when I create events in the native mac calendar/icloud. Already tried repairing permissions several times as well as creating a new UUID as proposed as a solution if widgets are missing in notification center. Like a lot others also stated, the preferences of the notification center reset after every reboot... Any help? Thanks, Philipp

    Hi,
    Same problem.
    Thx

  • Calendar is not synching in the cloud with all devices

I have my calendar set to synch up with icloud. Why is it that my calendar only synchs up when I synch up on iTunes?  Shouldn't it synch up automatically in the cloud?

On a Mac make sure Calendars is swtiched on in System Preferences > iCloud or Control Panel > Network and Internet > iCloud on a PC.
