ICalender events not showing up after Maverick update on iMac.

After I updated to Maverick on my iMac, I noticed certain iCal events weren't showing up but they are showing up on my iPhone and Macbook. I know you can't sync through USB anymore - I only sync through iCloud anyways. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi MEB6510,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you do not see some iCloud calendar events on your iMac after upgrading to Mavericks, the steps in this article can help:

  • IPhone not showing up after Mavericks update

Everything is plugged in normally and since I updated to Mavericks and updated iTunes my iPhone 5 no longer shows up in iTunes and I don't know why, any help would be appreciated!

Nevermind I never updated my iPhone, that was the issue.

  • External Volumes not Showing up after Security Update

Here are the basics: i have a first generation PPC mac Mini (10.4.11) that has a Ministack external harddrive/hub attached to it. I installed the latest Security Update via Software Update with the drive attached (bad idea, i know) and now the drive won't mount on the desktop, does not show up in System Profiler, and doesn't even show up in Disk Utility. It DOES show up when I do a Volume listing in Terminal, so it appears to me that at some level the computer still recognizes that it's there. Also, I attached another external drive that I have and I get the same results with that.
The additional ports on the hub portion of the drive continue to operate without any problem.
So far I've tried repairing permissions, resetting the PMU and PRAM, even archiving and reinstalling the OS to no avail.
    Any ideas?

Hmmm, I've heard about the worry of disconnecting externals during an update, but my Mini/PPC was updated to 10.4.11 with a Ministack v1 connected without trouble!?
Seems you've tried about everything... how about Pulling the RAM, trying to Boot, then reinstalling the RAM?
How about booting off the Install Disk, does it show in DU then?
How about Does it boot into Open Firmware with CMDOption+of ?

  • Changes to events not showing in ICS file updates to existing events

Ever since switching from Blackberry to Iphone I have been missing meetings and conference calls because of this issue and AppleCare has not been able to provide any help.  I am hoping a user has a solution.
I am a small business and use Yahoo! Small Business as my paid web hosting and email service.  I do not use their calendar.
Just as on the Blackberry, I receive invites to meetings and conference calls from my customers via email where I would click to accept, decline, etc.
This works just fine on the original event invite as I download the ICS file and then "add to calendar".  However, as we all know that meetings receive changes such as location, attendee's, times, dial-in info, etc.  This is where my problem starts because when my customer sends out the change and I click on the ICS file attached to my business incoming email...the ICS files shows all of the original meeting information and there is no option to add, accept, decline, etc.
I am completely stuck and it seems there are many others out there with this trouble but the AppleCare told me that they have never heard of anyone having ICS file issues.  Really?  They then told me that I would have to wait for this to be fixed in a future IOS update and that there was nothing that they could do.
Please help...I am just a small business and now I am missing customer meetings and conference calls.  This past week was a disaster.

I should fix a mistake in the original post. Where I said, "And when tomorrow comes around, those events don't show in the Calendar app," it should be, "And when tomorrow comes around, those events don't show in the Calendar section of notification centre."

  • Rules in Mail not being applied after Mavericks update

Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of threads already discussing similar issues, but so far I've been unable to find one that helps resolve my particular issue. Ever since upgrading to Mavericks my rules are not being applied in Mail. I will give you a screenshot of one of my rules:
I have about five rules that follow the same pattern: search for particular string in the FROM field and mark it with a color if the string is present. These rules all worked fine in Snow Leopard. All of my rules are still present after the upgrade and all checked as active. When I "select all" messages in my inbox and press Option-Cmd-L the rules are applied properly. However, the rules are not applying themselves when new mail comes in. As far as I can tell this does not have anything to do with the mail not being recognizes “as a new message” like, for example, because the mail was already read on my phone. It happens even if my other devices are offline and the only thing I am using to check mail is my laptop.
I am using a MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core Duo with OS X 10.9.1, in case that matters.
    Thanks for any advice!

I think I've found at least a partial solution to the Mail - Rules Don't Work problem:
In "Mail" go to the menu Mailbox and click on Rebuild.
If you have a lot of stuff, this will take several minutes to finish.
I also reviewed all my rules and made a few minor changes.
Mixed results:  I found that running "Apply Rules" didn't work on email already received; but new mail did.  I don't quite understand that, but I call it a partial success.

  • Calendars not showing up after icloud update

I cannot get to work the calendars properly on iPad after updating to icloud. On my iphone everything works fine, but the iPad won't load the calendar list. I tried the solutions proposed by apple (turning calendar app off, turning icloud off and on etc.) but the calendars simply don't show up. on icloud.com and ical on mac and iphone I see everything and sync works well there, only the ipad doesn't like the cloud I suppose...
    Any hints?
    Thanks,
    Lars

hmm... checked a little more and came to a solution: deep inside the icloud account settings (settings->icloud->account->"erweitert" (sorry, the last option at the bottom :-)) there still was a mobileme setting, lets say although everything should have been icloud, there was a smpt mobile me server... deleted icloud account completely, set it up again, now everything works fine. strange, anyway...

  • Ipods not showing up after software update

Since updating to itunes 8.0.2.20, I cannot access my ipods. I have three. When I plug them into my desktop machine (XP home), I hear the sound that indicates a new USB device, and the ipods will show that they're connected and charging.
But: they don't show up in itunes, so I cannot add or delete anything to them.
    Please advise.

Have you tried going to the App Store and finding the update there?  Or getting the updater from the Apple Downloads site: OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 Update

    Hi m3w_pokemon,
When you launch CC desktop are the panels blank. If yes then navigate to C/users/User name/Appdata/Local/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db and trash it.
Sign in with your Adobe id and the apps shoud be visible.

  • Lightroom 5.5 not showing photos after CC update! Showing gray blanks instead!

I updated LR to 5.5 yesterday through the CC installer.
It runs. But no photos could be displayed! All gray blanks!
In the Dev Module one could see the historgram normally and play with the slides even. But no photo at all. Just gray previews!

LR 5 can't read the LR CC catalog.
When you installed CC, it made a copy of your LR 5 catalog, in the same folder.
So use File > Open, and point LR 5 to the old catalog.

  • Mail crashes after Maverick update

Mail will not open now, after Mavericks update.
    DOes anyone have a solution?

    Shut down Mail.
In Finder, go to "~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/" (just do CMD+Shift+G and paste the path).
Move all "Envelope" files to your desktop.
Restart Mail and let it convert/reindex your mailboxes.
If this worked, Trash the Envelope files file that are on your desktop.
You can try restoring mail from a Time Machine backup.
Hold down the Option key and in the Finder Go > Library
    Enter Time Machine.
Select a date before the Mavericks upgrade.
    Restore Mail.
Have an up-to-date Time Machine or other backup before attempting any major software updates or rebuilds.

  • I am not able to print in cannon ir series 2520 after Maverick update

I am not able to print in cannon ir series 2520 after Maverick update, printer is in pause and even after resuming it it dosent work. Pl help
Same case with the projector not able to connect it.

The driver link you have provided will work. But we have found that if the previous driver is installed on the Mac, the user selects this older driver PPD when adding the printer instead of the new driver PPD because it has UFR in the name, which the new v10.2 driver does not.
So as mentioned this new version UFR2 v10.2.1 includes an uninstaller to remove the old driver and PPDs, thus reducing the chance of the user making a mistake when adding the printer. The next issue is then getting them to select the correct protocol.
I expect that Canon USA will update their site over the weekend to provide this latest version of the driver. Canon Oz gets its drivers direct from Canon INC so that's why we are a little bit earlier with some updates.
