Icbaccountsd: Excessive number of unncessary syncs - Denying request for sync!

From time to time, my console gets flooded with hundreds of icbaccountsd messages until, finally, this "icbaccountsd: __17-[ICBServer sync]_block_invoke: Excessive number of unncessary syncs - Denying request for sync!" appears (interestingly, the message has a typo, suggesting that this is not a common error). I have tried a few things with no result (I can trigger this every time I open Internet Accounts in System Preferences). As my MBP 10.9.1 is quite slow (and really slow when waking up from sleep) and Mail is from time to time unresponsive (with frequent "void CGSUpdateManager" and "UI updates were finally reenabled by application "Mail" after 23.26 seconds"), I would like to know if this could be related.

Another update:
Once I connected the restored iPhone (clean, no apps) to iCloud, my Mac was logged out of the iCloud account (no Signed Out). The password was missing, some of the services were active (Safari, Find my Mac) and some were inactive (Mail, Notes, AddressBook) but I could not change anything, as the Pref pane was asking for the password (email, contacts, and notes gone). In the Console, I read something about Keychain. Instead of adding the password again, that I've done before with multiple issues including multiple copies of Contacts in AddressBook, I decided to Sign Out from iCloud. Reviewed Keychain, but everything seemed OK (no problems after verification). I found multiple Apple ID entries and deleted all of them (all these with some restarts... this looks more and more like Windows). Signed in in iCloud again.... and since then everything fine. No more icbaccountsd messages. Now, reinstalling all apps in my iPhone (no fun at all).

    What does your system log say ?
    Check this SAP Note
    Note 579783 - CC ERROR: Loss of data - table not copied
    run the report RSCC_VERIFY to check if the table is consistent within the source client.
    SAP will only provide support for RSCC_VERIFY messages if there is a specific problem in an application in the target client that can be assigned immediately to the messages.
    RSCC_VERIFY is delivered with SAPKB46B49, SAPKB46C35 and SAPKB46D24. In older releases, you can create the report in the ABAP editor (transaction SE38) in accordance with the attached advance correction. Use the development class or the STRM package for this.

    Ok i'm a bit confused and have not heard back from anyone at apple but i recently bought a 13 inch macbook pro  in june and sent in my request for the upgrade, i got and email saying my request has been DENIED because

    Purchases must be through an authorized reseller
    I bought the macbook pro from The Military Exchange ( AFFEES ) How are they not an authorized Reseller ?  I'm currently deployed and do not have access to any apple stores etc.
    I'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

    So I was able to go on shop.aafes.com and find some MBPs and indeed they included the "authorized reseller" logo.  I called 1-800-my-apple and was transfered about 5 times trying to determine if AAFES was an authorized reseller.
    I was finally transfered to an apple care representative who told me that the "up to date" program doesn't have its own support, but he would be happy to assist me.  He was able to verify that AAFES is an authorized reseller and built me a case number that I could forward to you for your use in disputing your claim.
    He said to include your claim number, my case number, and email [email protected], case number 334608008.
    I am going to unhide my personal email address on my profile page, if the host edit this information out click on my username and email the address mentioned.  I will help you resolve this issue.

    Interesting suggestion, but it's not clear to me how I would do that if I'm not using an "(at) icloud.com" email address/account. I am having the same problem with changed invitations that come from an organizer who is using Google Apps. My email account is hosted at my ISP - it's not obvious to me how I can use iCloud to access that email account (and therefore the changed invitation). Suggestions?

    For down payment request the Document type is KA hence the number range which is applicable to KA is applicable for vendor downpament also.
    In your case the number range is based on document types and not related to vendor types.

  • VAMT 3.0 Duplicate Client Machine ID Report showing excessive number of computers

    We are running a KMS on a 2008 R2 VM with plenty of CPU, RAM and storage.  I recently configured and installed the Volume Activation Management Tool 3.0.  Everything seems to be working well except that reviewing the Volume License
    Reports, specifically the Duplicate Client Machine ID Report, I noticed an excessive number (about 4 times the number of actual managed computers) are listed in this report node. Even assuming that computer images were not being sysprep'd this
    seems really odd.  The License Overview shows 1,813 licensed and 1,678 unknown (possibly off or disconnected devices) and our duplicate CMID report shows about 8,300 plus.  What are the possible causes why this number is so high and how do I troubleshoot
    and remediate inaccuracies? 

    Duplicate CMID can come if you didnt used /generalize option when sysprep'ing. (http://blogs.technet.com/b/askcore/archive/2009/10/16/kms-host-client-count-not-increasing-due-to-duplicate-cmid-s.aspx)
    Please check your KMS's log, to be sure if true or not. If duplicate, it will be logged by your KMS's host.
    In virtual, like XenDesktop or View with a golden image it can easilly happen, as the CMID is kept by the server for the virtual's machine (aka the PVS for XenDesktop)

    Hi Yagmoth555, thanks for the reply.  I know this is not the case for our environment as it's telling me that physical systems that were installed with the ISO have duplicate ID's.  Also, the previous version of VAMT that we were running didn't show
    1,560 systems as having the same ID.  I have already deleted every "product" from the database and rescanned our environment, but I get the same result.

Whenever I make changes to the Notes on the iPhone, during the sync, the confirmation box shows up asking to confirm that I want to change Notes on the PC.     iTunes > Edit menu > Preferences > Devices tab, change the threshold for change notification.

    Increasing the size of the redo logfile size may reduce the number of switches as it takes time to fill the file up but your system's redo generatin will stil be the same. Reduce the frequent commits.

  • Why so many requests for keychain password in osx mountain lion

    Since upgrading to Mountain Lion I have been deluged with requests for keychain login password (which is the same as my user password).  I was getting requests from assistantd (sic) as well as osx itself.  I think the assistantd requests have stopped since I turned off dictation and facetime.  I have verified the keychain and even ran repair keychain even though verify found no problems.  Ideas?

    I have encountered the same issue.  I upgraded to 10.8 from 10.6.9 days ago, and I receive a keychain password request every 10-15 minutes (I know this after recording them in an effort to determine the issue). The requests vary, and are not perfectly timed.  I went to a local Apple Store yesterday to request some help, and a Genius repaired my keychain, zapped my PRAM, and booted from the 10.8 startup partition to run the following on my startup HD: Disk Utility repair, Disk Permissions repair, and resetpassword from the terminal.  These did not stop the keychain requests.
    There's no corresponding message or trigger listed in the Console.  I have noticed the following message occur sometimes within ~3 minutes after a keychain request:

    I have created a BW Report iView..containing a Bex query.
    Have created the required BW system object too.
    When I preview this iView, it asks me for BW system authentication....since am not mapped to this BW system.
    Its alright till here......
    Problem:
    Now, when I copy paste the URL (URL generated when you preview this iView) into a new browser window, I get an error saying:

    I checked tha bove mentioned log and it says:

    Changed the iView authentication scheme to every value present but it did not resolve.
    Please help me resolve this.

  • How can I get iTunes to answer my requests for help?

    I have tried for a few days now to get iTunes to help me get some tunes that partially downloaded. Their initial response seemed to work but the next day the tunes were only partially on my PC. I re-installed the software, called the phone number on my PayPal receipt, sent another e-mail request for help, responded to their follow up e-mail a few days ago asking if my issue was resolved.........and STILL cannot get them to help me resolve. They say I should receive a response within 24 hours, and it has been longer. No phone number to call, the initial instructions to re-download the missing tunes were confusing

    Check to see if the issue you are seeing is covered in iCloud Help. To search iCloud Help, visit help.apple.com/icloud.
    Check your settings and preferences as something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues which are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
    Troubleshooting Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion (iCal on OS X Lion)Note: For instructions on setting up iCloud Calendar with Calendar or iCal on your Mac, see iCloud Setup.If you are having trouble with Calendar or iCal on a Mac and you are using iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
    Make sure you are using OS X Lion v10.7.2 or later. Click here for help verifying the version of OS X you are using.
    Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in iCal. Click here for more information about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
    Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Preference pane in System Preferences. See iCloud Setup for more information about setting up iCloud on a Mac.
    Make sure you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list will be pushed to iCloud. Both Calendar and iCal for the Mac support the display of and interaction with multiple accounts and datastores, for example, iCloud, On My Mac, Exchange, Google, and so on. This makes it easy to create or modify events or calendars in a section of  Calendar or iCal that may not be updating iCloud. Learn more about moving local calendars to iCloud.
    In some cases, you may find that you have data duplicated in both the local On My Mac and the iCloud sections of Calendar or iCal. Learn more about resolving this issue.
    You can make the iCloud calendar your default calendar for all new events. In Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion, choose Calendar > Preferences > General, or in OS X Lion, choose iCal > Preferences > Generaland under the Default Calendar heading, select one of the Calendars under the iCloud heading. Close the Preferences window to save this change.
    If recent changes simply don't appear, try forcing Calendar or iCal to refresh by selecting Refresh All from theCalendar menu.
    Make sure your account was successfully created in Calendar on your Mac (or iCal). After upgrading to iCloud Calendar, you may need to quit and reopen Calendar (or iCal). To confirm your account is configured correctly in iCal:
    Open Calendar (or iCal).
    Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
    Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name entered.
    Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
    Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
    Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
    Open System Preferences and choose iCloud.
    Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences.
    Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
    Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
