IChartwork like app for Version 4.0.7 (616)??

Hey all, using iChat Version 4.0.7 (616)
Used to use an app called iChartwork that would send the current cover art for iTunes to iChat as the buddy icon - is this possible any way in Leopard? Searched macupdate/VT and didn't find anything, thought I'd ask here.. cheers

I have tried this Script on my G4 running 10.5.6 and iChat 4.0.7 and iTunes 8.0.2
I launched the Script without dragging it to the Installer thingy.
This forced it to open AppleScript Editor.
I then ran it with the Event log option to see what it would do.
For me it worked (once I had started iTunes)
It took some time as it seems to grab several pics and put them in a temp file before moving the Current one to iChat.
Having said that it ends the Event Log with an "End Tell" which means it is no longer running.
Consequently it does not move on to changing the pic to the Next Track

I have not taken it further at this point.
On the basis that it comes to an End Tell before re-doing a constant check if iTunes and iChat are running and a track is playing it would seem that the syntax is not current enough for the current iChat (possibly iTunes).
I ma not sure I will have time to check into it further.

GB-like app for iPhone/iPad

Since I'm thinking about getting an iPad - can anyone share experiences with GB-like apps? What I'm looking for is basically a sequencer that allows for sketching ideas on the road - only software instruments, no audio required. Ibook like app for iMac

is there any ibook like application for iMac os x?. if yes then what?

Nope and isn't this quite amazing? What is Apple thinking? Kindle, Nook, and the others make an app or reader for every platform. iBooks is for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. They are missing quite a bit of the market. I have both PCs and iMacs. I don't use iBooks because I can't read them on the PC or iMac. However, I can read all the others on PCs, Macs, my iPad.
By the way Apple, I dumped my iPhone last year for a high end Android phone. I now also don't use iTunes that much anymore either. I suggest you make iTunes available through Android before you lose that market also.

Does anyone know if there is a basic Note app for the playbook? I know we have Word to Go on the Playbook but a nice basic text note pad application would be nice...

When the BlackBerry Playbook is bridged to a BlackBerry you will have access to your MemoPad and Tasks. You can also search in BlackBerry App World for a note pad application.

Photoshop like app for new iPad...

I'm needing a bit of help here from all you guru's of the iPad world..I'm a iPad newby crossover from the Xoom crowd and am looking for the best iPad app that will let me do the same basic functions that my Photoshop CS5 I use on my PC does...import a picture or photo in and resize it or put a text layer in on it, or create a new blank layer and add color to it with a paint bucket tool and add some text to it or layer in a picture or photo into the work. How about some graduants to the layer. I do a lot of custom logo, avatars, and game sigs work and my CS5 for my PC works super for my work...is there such an app out there for my new iPad like that???

Really appreciate all your help here guys but as I said, I've been doing a ton of research and have found what I need. FYI...PhotoForge2, Photogene, Signiture iPad, and the new Photoshop Touch all will add text to anything you want but all but the Photoshop Touch have various limited applications they can perform or accomplish.
After trying all of these and an FYI for Ralph, the last program I picked up, the new version of Photoshop Touch, does it all and darn near all the important things needed that the CS5 on my desktop does. Truly an amazing program for an iPad format. I was very pleasantly surprised and was well worth the $10 bucks it cost me. A thumbs up for James with his suggestion and it was perfect! Thanks again guys!

There is the Compas app but that uses the sun to determine directions since none of the iPods have a built in compass. The iPhoes 3GS and 4 and iPods have a built-in digital compass.

Looking for a Rewind like app for Tiger

Back when I had my Performa 6360 running OS 8.1, I bought a utility called Rewind from Power on Software. The app could restore my Mac to an earlier date, or restore any file that had been deleted from the trash,etc.. It was more poweful than the similiar features found in TTP, and Norton.
Does such a utility exist for OSX? Rewind failed (and why Power on is trying to hide any indication that it ever existed) for a number of reasons. For one the utility slowed down my Mac by 50%, and for two the utility created huge archives, and often corrupted its restore rescue soft boot image.
I know such a utility may not be as essential in OSX as in the earlier OS. That os would often crash for one. My ibook has crashed no more than 20 times in the 10 months I have owned it. My Performa crashed that many times in 1 month alone.

Looking for quicken-like app for small bus

Before switching to mac I used an old version of quicken. Basically just a check register, and invoicing.
I am a sole proprietor, no employees. Need some simple monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Quicken for mac was released several weeks ago. You can find it on Mac App Store. I usually use it with Numeric Notes for simple invoicing and calculations, wich also available on Mac App Store. Hopes either of apps will be useful for you.

i dont think there is libpcap support on symbian so a good sniffer for symbian is probably not availble, maybe some lower function hex sniffer but porting wireshark to symbian without libpcap will turn out difficult im pretty sure

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

When I check apps on app store I want to see only the apps that I can download to my device. Because many apps require higher versions of ios. I have an original ipad and it can have only up to ios 5.1 so apps for ios 5.1 should appear to me. It is really boring to install all the time the apps and then have the error message. It is a very basic issue for users. How can Apple ignore millions of users suffering this?

You don't need to waste time installing them. Every app has in the "Information" section a "Compatibility" statement which will include the minimum iOS version required for it to run.
You can also do a web search for online listings of older compatible apps, like http://www.findoldapps.com/

Help. I understand there is an ap I can purchase to be able to work from my computer. I want to be able to open word/excel docs.

Pages has a version for iOS, and there are other apps for iOS, reportedly capable of reading these files. I do not like iPad so am not very good here, my son is better, for sure.
