IChat 5.0.1 keeps asking to accept buddy's messages (AIM)

I already have buddies on my buddy list and have privacy set to block only specific people. When these buddies IM me, it always asks if I want to accept their messages if there isn't an existing IM window conversation with them. How do I fix this?

I will add one other possible...
Do you have the Status Message set to Show the iTunes Playing option ?
This is in fact an AppleScript set from the Buddy List Status Message option (It drops down if you click it) or the Menu Bar option if displayed (Set in the General section of the iChat Preferences).
The AppleScript to Auto Accept is written in such a way that the same script can be used for Auto Accepting Files, Video or Audio Only chats (NOT Screen Sharing).
Have you tried setting the top drop down to one of those options (and setting the Auto Accept) and see if they work.
If not they may point to an Issue with the allow option or with the script itself.
I would try the setting at Allow All as the next test after that to try and pin it down to the Script.
The Script itself is in Hard Drive/Library/Scripts/iChat
Double Clicking it will open it is AppleScript Editor where we can check the wording and use the Run Button to see if any errors pop up then.

  • ITunes keeps asking to accept EULA and then does not launch

I'm running Win7 and iTunes 10.5.  After the latest upgrade, iTunes will not launch.  Everytime I attempt to launch iTunes, it asks to accept the user license agreement, I accept, and then iTunes does nothing.

I meant that there isn’t any box where I can accept the terms etc. - when I ‘ve downloaded it said “ by clicking on Install you agree to accept the terms and conditions “
Anyway now I’ve cancelled some plug-ins from the library and it seems it works
If you have a better suggestion kindly let me know
Thank you for your prompt reply

  • WPA2 enterprise: keeps asking for accept cerificate

    hello,
we have a wireless network protected with 802.1x protocol. The problem is OS X Mountain Lion keeps asking for accept certificate each time when user tries to connect to the network. After Acceptation the certificate the connection is established successfully, but it's anoing to approve certificate on each time.
selecting "Always trust" doesn't change anything.
I've also tried to create profile by using "iPhone Configuration Utility" but in this case a'm not able to connect at all because of error "The identity of the authentication server could not be established". I;'ve tried to add into profile both server's certificate and certificate's CA, still with no success.

  • CC keeps asking to accept licencing terms again... and again...

Since installing CC two weeks ago, CC programs, including PP, keep asking me to accept the licencing terms again... and again... and again...
This is becoming a real agravation.  Has anyone else encountered this problem?  Does anyone know the solution?
    Thanks!

At least I know now that it isn't just a problem with my computer or account!  I'm sure Adobe is working on fixing this as I can't imagine they haven't received dozens of FRs regarding this already.
This problem does cast a serious doubt about using CC away from the internet for any amount of time, even for just a few days.  The way it is now, I wouldn't trust it since the current problem leads me to believe I could be locked out of my CC apps at any time, despite Adobe's policy that your computer only needs to 'call in' once a month to confirm subscription.
Never any such worries with CS6 or prior.

  • Keeps asking to accept incoming network connections for iTunes

Why does OS X keep asking if I want the new iTunes to accept incoming network connections on every iTunes launch?
    1. It appears in the firewall, and is green lighted to accept incoming network connections.
    2. I have the checkbox to automatically allow signed software to accept connections.
    3. I have repaired permissions.
    4. I have re-downloaded and reinstalled the application.
    5. I am running the latest version of OS X with all updates installed.
    This should not be happening.

I constanstly get the exact same nag message about allowing incomming connections, plus now iTunes just pops up all by itself, and I simply do not ever let anyone inside my firewall, period, including Apple, so they can spy on my info or software. The snooping scanel of the last couple of days has only underlined my decisions.
I have denied them access in security/advanced.  I have turned off connect to apple for for song info. No Ping.
I do however run DLNA across my wifi network using BubbleUp client so I can access my iTunes library via TiVo throughout the house, and have for the last year with no issues.
(During this message, itunes has launched, nagged and started playing music all by itself 3 times!)
I tried a terminal command from another thread http://nerdramblings.tumblr.com/post/5637291886/fix-apple-firewall-asking-for-pe rmissions, which should have given me

I have version of itunes 11.0.2 running in Snow Lep 10.6.8. and I run my iMac via wifi rather then ethernet, and have for 3 years.  This is all new in the last 3 weeks.  I'm happy with the version I have, with no interest in uninstall/reinstall or screwing around with the newest versions, which I really hate.
I'm ok poking around in Terminal if that's the answer. otherwise, I'm off to WinAmp or DoubleTwist, though I'm open to other suggestions as well.
Please excuse my angry tone, but I've had nothing but problems with this machine since I bought it, it's been to the shop once and reformmatted from scratch twice, and regard it as the second worst decision of my life.  The worst one was my first marriage

when i try to update my iphoto in app store it keeps asking me to sign in to my account but i am already signed in can someone please tell me how to fix this.

Sign in with the Account you used to purchase the apps, or that you first used when you registered at the App Store. Oher than that you need to contact App Store support. They're the only ones who can fix account issues.
