IChat 6 Yahoo invisible mode problem

Hi there.
At first glance it was really great hearing that iChat finally supports Yahoo!.
But here is the big problem that makes iChat useless once again for me:
I always login to Yahoo messaging service in "invisible" mode.
In iChat when I log in and I lost the connection for any reason (e.g. VPN connection is lost)
and then let iChat logs in when the connection is there again I become "Available" to the list of my friends then afterwards iChat sets my status to invisible.
So every time that this happens everybody knows that I'm there.
The problem goes even furthur. When I log out of Yahoo in iChat, using either contextual menu or Command+L, and then log in to Yahoo! again the same things happen. iChat makes me available and then invisible.
Logging in as invisible only works when you yourself quitted iChat last time without logging out or loosing the internet connection.
Any idea how to solve this problem or just Apple should fix it??
P.S. If Apple does not fix the problem and or there is no workaround I think they should just forget about advertising of Yahoo support in iChat, since the whole philosophy of invisible mode is blown and I think invisible mode in Instant messaging is something that we cannot just forget about it.
So till then back to Adium. Sigh!

A Note.
I spend about 3 hours or so every day here.
I respond to Emails from Subscriptions first.
Then I return to the Community I am in (Mostly iChat) and answer older new posts first.
Then I look at the iSight area
Then I search for the word iChat and try and catch up on other threads that have been posted elsewhere.
Other regular posters use different methods.
Currently working through this new (to Me) thread where you linked to this one.

If you set Invisible in an Account/Buddy List you appear OFF LINE and not Away. (I have no idea what people think of me then )
In iChat 4 and 5 you can also use the iChat Menu > My Status to change to Invisible and this also sets it from any Away Option.
In those two versions I do not get the Invisible Option in the Menu Bar Icon drop down.

IChat invisible mode not available with gtalk.

after leaving my imac switched off for quite a long time, ichat does not offer the invisible mode any longer. I use a gmail account, I tried to remove the old one and re-create one from scratch but nothing. the only way to have this 'invisible' option available is by creating an AIM account (which I don't have, and still want to use the gtalk one). what happens? anyone got that bug before?

I must agree with Defcom that I don't remember any of my Jabber accounts ever being able to be set to Invisible.
However as I have not deleted my com.apple.iChat.Jabber.plist I looked in there to see if there was a setting on my G4's version.
It appears that there is a setting listed in there that is no longer accessed by the Preferences.
Attempting to change this setting with Property List Editor and Saving it makes no difference to the GoogleTalk Account when iChat is relaunched even though the setting remains in place.
This will either be an iChat setting that is no longer used or a change at the GoogleTalk end.

Running in invisible mode

Hi,
I have a Java Frame that i want to run in invisible mode. The problem is that i have to set it to visible first, then invisible otherwise it doesn't seem to execute. Also if i set it to ICONIFIED, the program doesn't run until it is maximized.
How can i make it so i never have to make it visible and have it still run?

First explain what you mean by "executing a frame". Hi, this is the first time i have done anything in Java. I am trying to run this java program from a C program, but don't want to see the window pop up at all. But if i don't have the f.setVisible(true) where it is, the viewer modules, which are capturing streaming data and writing to bmp's to not work. The same is true if i set to ICONIFIED.

Condition colum in VA01 is in invisible mode, ie. gray color

When I create VA01, I would like to change my price.
But I am getting condition tab in gray color.
If it white color only we can change the price and update any manual condition records. But I am getting only under condition tab in VA01 in gray color. It is look like display mode screen. If I look other tab for example sales, shipping or scheduling agreement screen etc. everything is in visible mode. But if i click condition tab, It is in invisible mode.
I am maintaining that manual entry has priority in v/06.
I didnt block anything in vov8.

Please check with Basis team that whether you have authorization to change the pricing in sales order or not...
And please check whether u have maintianed all condtion types mandatory in pricing or manual in pricing.... also..
Or All condition types in order migh have been grayed out for not permitting furhter changes by Basis team ....Please check this one also..

Collection Data Form in invisible mode.

Hi,
We are using zcm 10.3 installed on SLES 11. Our clients are XP SP3. I have configured a collection data form with autofill and checked "Invisible mode for autofill only" In the autofill settings I have entered a environment variable. I have configured a Collection data form schedule to run "When a device is refreshed". The collection data form never pick up the environment variable value when running a refresh. When I right click on the ZenWorks notify icon and choose "Collection data form" the environment variable value configured in autofill is picked up.
Autofill worked well when refreshing a device in zcm 10.2.2.
Does anybody know if this is a known "bug"?

Invisible mode - not really invisible if contacts ...

I went to live chat and spoke to the Skype people and they said it was impossible for someone to know weather or not if I'm online when I use invisble mode, but I know for a fact this is not true.
To prove this I stop logging into Skype daily. Didn't sign in for like three weeks. Then I come online randomly at different points leaving my Skype on for hours at a time, whenever some of my contacts came online, they sent me a message "Nice to see ya, its been a way, etc." How could they know I was on at this random time. There is no way these people randomly guess at these random times they came on.
If it was an old message that Skype is catching up and to sycn with my account, like because they sent a while back when I was offline, it would have come through sooner since I been online throughout the day. Plus the message came through at the exact moment they came online.
I have a problem with this because some business contacts I don't want them to see I'm online. But I know they can, because invisible mode is not working.
What is their excuse, how else would they like me to prove it.
Can someone friend me, its UBER__ and I leave it online for a few days and then in a couple days I will come online invisible and you will see me online.

what skype version or in what computer os/device are you using? This one is a screenshot from the support pages of skype, and exactly what appears in Skype for Windows (I think also the same in most skype versions out there).

To Make webdynpro ivew in portal from invisible mode to visible mode dynmly

I have created a webdyn iview and configured in portal under role named 'xxx'. Iview should be in invisible mode initially , when iview encounters the birthday of the current portal user then popup should be displayed where iview should be dynamically in visible mode.
How to make the iview from invisible to visible dynamically?

Hi,
I think you can not set the iview property from webdypro application.
you can pass the parameters from iview based on that functionality of the webdynpro applcation can be maintained.
For your problem i would suggest you to use view set and put a create navigation between the views base on the condition.

IChat V6 Port Changing Problem

My equipment: OS X 10.7.1 - iChat V6 (927) - Yahoo account
My Problem: 1. Cant send SMS 2. Cant change port in iChat
I have seen in previous post the process for changing the ports for older versions of iChat but I have yet to see anything about V6. I also read where changing the ports might fix this SMS problem but there are no options for this under V6 iChat> Preferences> Accounts.....
I basically want to send SMS and dont have any problems with anything else. Sending SMS in the Yahoo app still works but I like iChat better. Any suggestions?

The Yahoo option does not have a place to change ports
An AIM accounts showing the same view will have 3 tabs across that pane (your second pic) (Jabber/Google have two).
Both of these types have a Server Settings tab and the ports is in there.
AIM Accounts have had a SMS option but you have to have your computer set as if it were in the United States.
(Format tab in the Text and something pane in System Preferences - Flag icon - called International in earlier OS versions)
The phone you are connecting to also HAS to be in the United States on a service that can access the AIM feature (Not all Carriers do)
I do not have iChat 6 to test an SMS option in Yahoo
I would start by checking the Yahoo web site for any restrictions similar to the AIM one.

How to put some tabs in sales order item level invisible mode

Hello Gurus ,
Good evening everybody ,
We have some specific requirement from the client - Client does n't want few end users to see the price details in sales so they want the condition tab to be invisible mode in sales order item lvel only for few users i.e the condition tab should not be displayed for that user is this possible ?
Note : I only have idea setting few fields in sales order but not tabs in sales order through screen variant -SHD0

Hi,
There are a couple of options you can go with.
1) You can use Transaction and Screen variants to create your own ZVariant and then put that to user profile. Allow the user to run only with the variant you setup for the user via authorizations.
2) Get GUIXT software by Synactive, to perform the above task for you.
3) If you happen to have latest version of SAP ECC i.e. 6.0 with EHP3 or above, you can go with NWBC (Netweaver Business Client).

I'm having the same problem. Dreamweaver is supper slow. Uploading and downloads from the server... any server I use two different servers. It times out all the time. Menus are slow too.
I'm on a MAC Pro, 6 gigs of ram no issues with anything else. I have talked to Apple they have checked everything for me. They say it's Dreamweaver. I've noticed the Dreamweaver is talking to the FTP even when I'm not doing anything.
I've tried cleaning out my MAC caches, turning off file check and check out. Still really slow. I've worked with Dreamweaver for 6 years never any issues like this before. 18 seconds to upload a 4 kb file. 11 seconds to download the same file.

Still, I do not understand why do you have to call/open a form without showing anything, and not rather call some procedures written in the form you are in or in a .pll attached to the form you are in. Because, usually, when you create a form, it is created in order to be visible and to interact with the user somehow.

More design mode problems

I've been down this road before but now it's getting just crazy. I can't get work done if I want to create a simple layout. I've created new workspaces, cleaned, everything I can think of including taking out any third-party components that might possibly be compiled in non 4.5.1 (though they supposedly have).
I try to create a simple MXML component. If it's based on anything visual (e.g., panel) or if I start with a group and then drag in a panel, I just get the little computer icon with red x on it in design mode with the following errors in the Design Mode Problem panel. I mean, this is just a new, empty component.
Assets failed to compile.
