IChat AV 3.0.1 File Transfer --- Not Working!!! Please HELP!
I am able to initiate a video/audio conference and text my friends ok, and i can receive file transfers from tehm, but i cannot send them files. i have a linksys befsr41 v.3 router with the latest firmware upgrade. please help me!!!
I have done those things ...Have your iChat AV 3 buddies also done them?
Both ends of the connection must be working properly for iChat AV to work correctly.

I see that your system info changed between your initial post and your msg # 2.
(0) You and your iChat AV buddies who use iChat AV 2.1 may find the relevant suggestions in Using iSight with iChat AV helpful in trouble shooting this issue with you (regardless of whether any of you use iSight.)
(1) If you actually changed systems, is the problem the same with both Macs?
(2) If the problem is the same with both Macs, are you at a different location?
(3) If you have ever been able to make successful transfers, what has changed since it worked?
(4) If you cannot get it going, please provide the relevant information requested in the When do I Post a New iChat Topic ? FAQ. (20 items starting about half-way down the page)
We will be happy to try to give more definitive answers based on your specifics.

Please suggest a way to open the places.sqlite file manually & extract bookmarks from it or any other way to get the bookmarks backIt is possible that this copy of places.sqlite is corrupted if your bookmarks aren't restored and in that case you can't use this file and will have to delete all the places files (-shm and -wal as well)
If you also have a copy of the JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder then try to restore the bookmarks that way.

ive been successfully transferring music from my pc to x6. but i think i fiddled with the time on my phone the other day and now i cant transfer my music!!! ive reset my pc and phone to read the same time but i still cant transfer what ive downloaded from the music store to my phone. Bought cds loaded from my pc transfer fine.
What have i done and what do i need to do?Ok, so now I've fiddled around a bit, both on my own and with the "help" of the Nokia Care support. And things are only getting worse.
First I updated my phone (which I should have done a long time ago) from 20.x something to 50.x something.
Secondly, I updated the OVI Suite and OVI Player programs.
Now I get an error message in OVI Player when attempting to transfer files, saying that one or both of the units (phone and computer) I'm trying to transfer between aren't CMW units. Which they are, obviously.
OVI Suite is a bit a nightmare trying to work out. The first time I used it, I managed to add my phone. Unfortunately I didn't read the logon page carefully enough the first time - so I ended up creating a new account (I can now login to ovi.com with two user names) and I suspect somehow my phone was connected to the "new" account I made. Been trying to associate my phone number with the old account again, but no luck.
Then OVI Suite started crashing when I attempted file transfers. So I re-installed, and since then I haven't been able to add my phone to it again.
If I try copying music (which I've downloaded through the OVI Store between April 2009 and April 2010) using the mass storage option, I'm unable to play it on the phone. It asks me to retrieve a DRM license (nothing strange there) - when I try doing that, the phone tries to access the OVI Music Store and invariably fails.
The first time I accessed the OVI Music Store (using the app in the phone itself) I was prompted to login - so I did, using my old account (the one I used to download all the music in the first place). That worked fine. But there is no option of entering a download history in the application - something I've seen referred to in various FAQs. The only options I have is to search for music and also to extend or purchase a CMW subscription. Here's another funny thing - if I try that, it says I can't, using this phone, since it's already a registered unit. The opposite of what OVI Player tells me when I try transferring songs?
I get the feeling a lot of stuff has been messed up here. But basically what I'd like to do is to simply make sure that my phone and my computer are both associated with the same CMW account that they were up until June or July this year.

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat. -
I backed up my Iphone to itunes so i can do the new Update to IOs 7 and so now that i updated it i want to backup and restore and its not working, Please help!
An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. I have 4s iPhone , I download the iOS 7. Now the front receiver microphone is not working , please help me that how to fix the problem.
I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.

If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, the drivers are downloaded from within Bootcamp Assistant. If you are running Snow Leopard the drivers are on your Snow Leopard install disk.

I would imagine your iPhone was hacked to make it work on your local carrier.
Updating the iOs to 5.xx will lock it back to the original carrier .The carrier holding the lock are the only
entity able to authorise the unlock .You will have to contact them and see if they unlock and the terms the apply -
