I can log into ichat but when I click on a buddy to send a message it suddenly crashes. Here is the report it sends to apple.

Network authentication failed error message when trying to send picture messages

I have a family member who is trying to send picture messages from Dubois, WY. Verizon's map shows that Dubois is in the extended enhanced services area. I am guessing that this may be one of those instances where the coverage map is not 100% accurate. Please let me know if you have any other ideas or suggestions as to what the problem might be or how to resolve it.

Try dialing *228 send and option 2 to update the PRL on the phone. Updating the PRL or Preferred Roaming List, ensures the phone is getting the best service possible.

Remote Desktop Services Error when trying to send a message to a user in the collections

We are implementing RD for thin clients and when I try to send a message to a user I get an error that states,: Unable to send a message to session X on (SERVER NAME.COM). WTS API Failed
Is there a service that needs to be turned on?

Before sending message please check following considerations.
- You must have Message special access permission to send a message to a user.
- You can send messages only to users whose sessions are in the active or connected state.
- You can send a message to a user session in Remote Desktop Services Manager by using the Send Message action.

Mail crashes when trying to send mail

I am able to receive and read mail but when I select send mail, it brings up a new window and then crashes before I can enter any information.
It also has large circles (approx. 3/4 inch) where it would normally list the number of new emails in a given account.

Mail crashes when trying to send an attachament

Since using Snow Leopard I have had endless trouble with Mail quitting just after trying to send an email with an attachment. In the end most of them go after several attempts but with the last one (only 450K) I had to resort to using Entourage and even that crashed twice before sending the attachment. I have upgraded to 10.6.1 but that makes no difference.
I have no idea what the problem can be but Leopard used to work fine. What on earth have Apple done to screw it up and how can it be corrected.

That's fine, but every time it crashes it automatically sends a report to Apple. Must have posted about eight so far. The point is, how long do I have to wait before a solution arrives and what am I supposed to do in the meantime. You pay good money to upgrade and find that you have gone backwards in some respects. It wouldn't be so bad if you could uninstall the upgrade easily but that could put me into greater trouble.

Firefox crashes when trying to send a web page link.

The questions says it all. I've tried three times to send a web page link and each time I got a Microsoft error message and Firefox closed.

I filed a bug for this crash as it has been reported on Mac machines and all of the comments are either printing a webpage or printing a print button.
If I may ask are you using File > Print or is there also a print icon?
Another question for investigation is do you have print_printer?
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
# In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
# Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' to continue to the about:config page.
#right click new > string and enter name : print_printer and for value : enter the name of your printer with without the quotes, then OK.

Compressor crash when trying to send a task with watermark

I use Compressor without problem except when i try to add a watermark on my movie. It crash without sending the job.
My watermark is a TGA file with an alpha channel.
I haven't find any solution until now...

I installed OS10.5.1 recently and yesterday mail starting crashing whenever I'd try to save an email message ("save as" or shift apple s). Based on one post, I ran a verify and repair disk permissions (from the hard drive, not from the startup disk) but no remedy. The beginning of the crash reports reads: Process: Mail [150]

Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described in the following article, in case there is something amiss in the filesystem:

You’d get better results using Eudora Mailbox Cleaner to do the conversion.
Eudora Mailbox Cleaner requires rebuilding the imported mailboxes in Mail afterwards. Instead of rebuilding them one by one, you can re-create the entire index as follows:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is locally stored.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see any other “Envelope Index”-named file there, delete it as well.
4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index — Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

ICal keeps crashing when trying to send to invitees

Every time I add an event to my calendar and try to send it to invitees, it crashes. Help!

Try it from a new account.
If it works in a new account it probably has something to do with your user data. If it does not it is probably some corruption in the iCal application and you should re-install iCal.
