Ichat In call ring tone

the volume on the in call (ring) is very low - how do i make it louder and can i cutomise it to a standard phone ring.
any help would be great, thanks, Sam.

Hi Sam,
I've made the sound 10 dB higher for you. Drop the file into your iChat.app (Show Package Contents) > Contents > Resources folder.
To change the file/ringer, just make a new file with the custom ring and name it Ringer.aiff.
Hope this helps,
-Ryan

    Q) Can anyone please help me with this: My in coming call-messges ringing tone not working? All I am getting in Vabration + Flashing light when receiveing messages or incoming Calls. I am missing my phone Calls constantly. Please Help me?
I have just received this phone as a replacement from my insurance company, as I had lost my own phone. It has taken them 3 weeks to sort this out. This has ruined my business because it has taken so long. I really do not have time to send it back to them. Because it will waist another three weeks for them to sort it out again. Please Help!

HA! By Jove I've Got it! it was simples..
TURN ON THE RINGING ON / OFF BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF YOUR PHONE JUST ABOVE THE VOLUME BUTTONS. THEN MAKE SURE THE VOLUME IS UP TO THE HIGHEST. NOW JUST TRY THIS!
I ALSO LOOKED UP A MANUAL ON IPHONE4:
    Ringtones, Ring/Silent switch, and vibrate
iPhone comes with ringtones that sound for incoming calls, Clock alarms, and the Clock timer.
You can also purchase ringtones from songs in iTunes. See Chapter 22, iTunes Store, on page 94.
Set the default ringtone: Go to Settings > Sounds > Ringtone.
Turn the ringer on or off: Flip the switch on the side of iPhone.
Important:  Clock alarms still sound even if you set the Ring/Silent switch to silent.
Turn vibrate on or off: Go to Settings > Sounds.
Assign a different ringtone for a contact: In Contacts, choose a contact, tap edit, then tap
    Ringtone and choose a ringtone.
For more information, see Sounds on page 139.
THE REASON MY PHONE HAD NO RING TONE, WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE VOLUME WAS TURNED DOWN. :-/
I HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS INFUTURE!   :-D

  • Make a Call Ring Tone

Does not work when I have my eternal speakers connected to my iMac. I hear everything else fine. Unplug the speakers, and then I can hear the outgoing ring sound. 27" iMac, OSX 10.6.8

Hi there - am with Orange and they said nothing wrong with account and service running normally.  They said if they had cut me off I would've received a text (debatable with current message receiving situation!) and when I called out it would say 'calls from this number are barred'.  Also if you called me it would say something similar.  But it doesn't, it will ring and ring until it rings off but nothing happens at all on my handset. Not even a missed call notification.  If I call out, it will display that it is calling the number but that's it.  If I cancel the call it will constantly display 'ending call'.  If I come out of the phone and go to another app then revist phone it will start calling that last dialled number - without ever getting as far as ringing or connecting.

  • How to call ring tones on iPhone?

    Hi guys.
I am searching about how to call ringtones from application.
Is it possible to make like this application ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Raiden -
I don't know anymore about a SDK <-> ringtone interface than you've probably already found on the web. My search produced at least two pages of links to forums and blogs on this subject, and the answer was consistently, "No. There's no way for a legal iPhone app to access either system or user-installed ringtones".
Take a look at this link describing a recently released app called "Toneaphone": [http://surgeworks.com/blog/iphone/iphone-ringtones-app-3d-core-data-web-servic e]. As you can see, the product provides a mobile UI to the seller's database of ringtones. Note that after making a selection, the user needs to tether the device to desktop iTunes in order to install the ringtone. I'm guessing the folks who wrote that app would know about any direct SDK access if it existed.
Of course the above example is about write access and maybe your question is only about read access. But the total absence of any positive evidence on the web is enough for me to conclude that the interface you want just isn't there.

  • No phone ring tone

    List members:
All sounds on my iPhone 3S function - except for the phone call ring tone. I've tried resetting it - no luck.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. - Mark

Is There a Ringtone Selected and visible under Settings/Sounds/Sounds and Vibration Patterns?
First on that list is Ringtone, Pressing Ringtone brings you to a new menu where default tones can be selected. Make Sure a Check Mark is next to the desired tone. If not press the tone name to select it as the ringtone. On the home screen press the + button on the side and verify that the ring volume is not turned all the way down. Make sure the switch is not on the mute setting, hope its not much worse than any of these sugestions would correct.

  • There no ring tone on my 4s earphone ?

There no ring tone on my 4s earphone , when someone calls ring tone only come out from the phone itself n not from the earphone from apple . there only a prompt if there a music playing but not ring tone.

    @zigzag1990
Follow advice in jimmyireland post but you do have to scroll quite a way down this screen to reach "Keypad tones", which is the seventh one you reach!

  • HT204368 Why does connection to a bluetooth device turn off all sounds but the ring tone?

I have a Bernafon bluetooth device that connects via bluetooth to my iPhone 4 running iOS6 and routes the telephone through my hearing aids however, it appears that connecting via bluetooth turns off all sounds other than the incoming call ring tone.  This has caused me to miss several time sensitive text messages and emails.  Does anyone have a solution?

Without knowing what DAQ Hardware you have and what version of NI-DAQ you are using, it's hard to say exactly how to resolve this. However, I would suggest using the Intermediate and Advanced Digital VIs rather than the Easy VI because you have more control. There are examples that ship with LabVIEW and examples online that should assist you. There is also a KnowledgeBase 24BECT4U that may be helpful.

  • C7 - Can I change caller's tone?

Hi, I'm new C7 owner, my phone works fine, but I should change the tone equalization of the built-in earpiece during voice call. This phone has clear sound, but with lower dominant voice spectral components, than my earlier phones. It means too hard to understand some of my partners (even impossible in some cases), with whom were not this problem with other phones.
So, can I change caller's tone with some built-in function or with Ovi application?

Of course you can. Go to the contact you want to modify, click on edit and there is a field inside the contact called "Ringing tone".
By default this option is "Set by profile" so what you have to do is click on it, choose the ringtone, song, etc and that's it.

  • Change lenght of an  incoming call ring...

how do I change lenght of an incoming call ring tone? I have missed several calls because I didn't get to the phone by the 4th ring. I need more time.
    Donna{=+=}

If you are in the U.S., call AT&T and request the length of time before a call goes to voicemail be increased to the maximum which is 30 seconds.

  • E72: what's difference of Ringing Tone, line 1 and...

Going to Nokia E72's Control Panel, Settings->General->Personalisation->Tones
    There is an option:
Ringing tone, line 1  (input tone file)
Ringing tone, line 2 (input tone file)
In my case, I used 2 different tones for line 1 and line 2.
So far, when I receive I voice call, the tone I specified in line 1 will ring to signify an incoming caller.  I've always heard that ringing tone for my incoming voice calls.
But just awhile ago, it used the ringing tone for line 2 when I got a voice call.  I was wondering, what that "line 2" ringing tone is used for until I heard that tone awhile back.
When does "ringing tone line 2" get triggered anyway?

I see, thanks for the quick explanation. So the caller must have mistakenly used "video call" instead of "voice call" (since video call is supposed to be quite more expensive to use).
I believe our network supports video calls (it says "3.5G " in the E72's upper screen display), however, due to it's being more expensive, I think it's not used that much yet (at least I've never tried using it, and my guess is that my caller accidentally chose "video call" -- he quickly hangup the call and called through voice call [ringing tone line 1], which is why I didn't get to answer the video call when I heard the [ringing tone line 2 sound].)
Is this thing documented in the Nokia documentation (ringing tone line 1  & 2) or is it from your actual experience?

  • Since I have installed iOS 6.1.3 on my iPhone 5 I have sometimes problems to start a phone call. Everything looks fine, but no ring tone... A workaround is to stop phone app in the multitasking bar. But this is more than inconvenient ;-) Any solution?

In this cases everything looks fine, but no ring tone is there and after sometimes the phone informs me that no connection can be estabilished (its a German phone, therefore I am not sure about the message in English systems). A workaround is to stop the telephone app in the multitasking bar (double click on home button, hold the app symbol pressed for some seconds, close app). Next several call work after this.
I am not sure if an incomming call would work in this mode...
Faces anybody the same problems or has solution for it?

  • CUCM 8.6.1.2000 - Call History not logging, and no ring tone access.

    Hello,
    A little background:
Recently, I setup a UCS C-210 M2 with CUCM 8.6.1 and restored our Pub and Sub to it. Also migrated to from physical Unity to Virtual CUC, same with Presence.
I've also setup a 2nd CUCM Sub, as well as new CUC and CUP subs on a second UCS C210. I also upgraded CUP to 8.6.4. before adding the Sub CUP node.
I'm thinking my problems began when I added the 2nd Subscriber CUCM node on our 2nd C210. Here is a description of what's going on.
    -  I cannot change ring tones on an IP phone. I get "Ring List Unavailable" when I try to change a ring tone. I noticed that my phone had changed over to the CTU ring tone around the time I brought up the VM environment. The CTU ring tone was a custom one I had loaded at one time.
    - I cannot access any call history on my IP phone. My Jabber client logs call history just fine.
Seems to be a TFTP issue, but I restarted the Cisco TFTP service yesterday, and it did not help. I also reset the Device Pool, which didn't seem to do anything.
Also, I'm still a bit unclear on which services I should be running on my new Subscriber node.
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks again, guys!!
    -Jonathan

I had this issue and resolved it. The problem was that we had changed DHCP servers over to a different platform and the new DHCP server didn't have Option 66 defined to point the phones to a TFTP server. Once we re-specified the TFTP server IP's for option 66 in DHCP and reboot the phones the issue was resolved.

Yeah, I know I can restore it, but I might as well go ahead and try. I just finished a backup for icloud and itunes to make sure, I'll go ahead and restore it and set it up as new and see how that works. Seems like I have no other options at this point, I'd still like to know what they did with the Download tab in itunes store, if they removed it or if I'm just overlooking it.

  • TS2634 My iPhone 4s does not ring for incoming calls. Ring tone is set/settings/sound. It used to ring. I think it has to do with updating to IOS 7.0.4? After updating IOS 7.0.3 my microphone stopped working. Had to clear/reload.

Start with your finger at the bottom of the screen (about even with the home button) and swipe in an upward motion.  There should be a row of icons at the top of a grey field.  if the quarter-moon icon is bright white, tap it.  If it was (and still is) dark, take the iPhone in to be evaluated by a qualified technician.
