Ichat + netword device alias / ip-alias == AV not working

I have public IP address on my iMac. I also have local network running in 192.168.123.0/24. My network is only using WLAN so primary Airport is using dhcp to get public IP and my created alias aka Airport 2 is using static IP.
Everything else works great, but iChat AV is not working.
Having NAT or using cable for another network is not a solution.

So a Network could be an Ethernet cable through Bridge devices to give you a Public IP. (A Wireless LAN Could do the same thing)
An Airport Card could then use an IP from another network.
Even in this scenario iChat can not tell which Network to use.
You seem to be saying you have two Wireless networks going on with the same card.
iChat does not work with Internet Sharing in System Preferences > Sharing being ON or Parallels Sharing an IP
I am not sure what you are trying to achieve with your set up but iChat is not going to like it.

That's what I tried. The 6 steps and I do not have security software on my phone. iTunes on my Mac is still giving me the warning that I need to download the latest version on my phone, and is not recognizing it in devices, which is the irony because that's what I need to actually update it

Alias /sapterm not working

I have been looking through the ECC 5 Installation Guides and they seem to mention at the end of the guide that there is an SAP Terminology Guide at http://service.sap.com/sapterm
It did not work, it says invalid alias. I thought SAP might have removed the alias.
But now I noticed ECC 6 Install Guides say the same thing.
The link http://service.sap.com/sapterm however, does not work still.
Anyone can provide me some clue on where can I get the SAP Terminology Guide Document?

Android kitkat issue in loading swf file from device. URL found but not working

I am facing one issue from a very long time regarding file access in Android Kitkat version 4.4.*. I have developed Adobe Air player application for android and it is working as expected below kitkat version but not on kitkat.

By using the above methods I can have swf or mp4 video url but when I am loading it, It is not working giving error message "File not found/ IO Error". I have read that if use escape character then it will work but I have used escape character also but it is not working.
Humble request you to please advise how can I solve this issue.

Starting in KitKat, Google requires that applications have permission to access files on the system. You must specifically add either the READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions in order to access files. Adding either one of those permissions should let you read/access files on the device. Prior to KitKat, you didnt have to have these permissions listed in the manifest to access files.

IOS Device-Sensor and ISE profiling not working

I configured IOS device-sensor on one 2960CG-8-TCL switch. IOS is 15.2(2)E.
Switchconfig:

Switch does DHCP-Snooping and "show device-sensor cache all" shows the DHCP name:

RADIUS probe on ISE is activated and TCPdump shows the accounting packets from the switch (see attachment).
I configured a profiling rule ot check for DHCP-Hostname with "contains". This rule does not work however. The device is getting profiled with a MAC-OUI via RADIUS-probe but the DHCP-Profile is not working.
Is this supposed to work?

That is interesting. I haven't worked with the "Device Sensor" much so I am running out of ideas. I really thought the certainty level was going to fix your issue as I have had issues similar like yours in the past where the certainty level of my custom rule was the same as a default one so mine custom rule was never hit. . I thought this was the case with you since your device was hitting the parent policy of "HP-Device" but not moving any further. With that being  l would still recommend keeping your custom conditions with higher certainty levels to avoid such situations.
Couple of more things:
1. What profiling probes do you have enabled?
2. Have you tried retrieving the DHCP hostname via another sensor/method. For example, via the DHCP probe and ip-helper?
3. Do you have the following commands entered on your switch:
access-session template monitor
no macro auto monitor
device-sensor accounting
device-sensor notify all-changes

IChat 4.0.7 Screen Sharing does not work.

Me and my friend both have identical machines, the intel iMac 20" 2.66mhz
Software is identical
iChat version is identical (4.0.7 (616))
Video Chat works perfectly, our internet connections are fantastic, no issues there.
Both using Netgear routers with uPnP enabled.
Internet Sharing is OFF
Firewall is "set access for specific services and applications" and iChat and iChat Agent are added.
I conclude that Screen Sharing *does NOT work* as advertised.
Apple, I am most disappointed, get it sorted for next release please.
Who else has witnessed this epic failure?

Yes I was refering to the screen sharing in system preferences/sharing.
Checked the video menu:
Screen sharing enabled
Camera enabled
microphone enabled
so no that's not it! Was hoping it was something simple like that too.
Both netgear routers dont have any ports forwarded, just upnp enabled.
The frustrating thing is, both macs are new, one is only days old, and neither mac has had it's setting messed about with or anything.
It would be great to find the solution, 100's of people having similar issues if you google it.

Just a thought, would the type of account make a difference? At the moment we are both using the type of accounts that iChat creates when you select "get an iChat account" (creates a [email protected] login)

IChat 4.0.2 on Leopard Video not working HELP!

Hi, I've been following many of the threads on solutions of how to fix the video conferencing feature. However, I've tried doing all of those things listed including allowing iChat to send things outbound and accept inbound data through the firewall, checking Quicktime streaming and iChat bandwith. It has not work for me.
Everytime I try to video conference(VC), both when I try to start the VC and when I accept a VC, I keep getting the 'Error -8'. I am at a loss of what I should do and I have tried everything to fix the problem. Help please! Thanks.

Can you tells what you have currently set in IChat as the Login port, the Mac Firewall, The Mac System Preferences > Sharing items and the modem and or router ?

System alias does not work if not the same as logical system name?

In most of the situations, we define the portal system alias same as the connected R/3 client logical system name.
I also saw some exceptions that system aliases were defined differently from the connected R/3 client logical systems, and they were tested fine.
However I forget the way to make that working.
Could you help me recall how is that achieved?

There is nothing tricky here. Just assign more System Aliases to the system connector !

Machine Alias does not work

I have the latest version of OSX running Powerbook and XP on a dell. I can see the dell on the network but when I click on it it tells me invalid alias. It can't fix it nore delete it???? I get an error message in either way. When I tried to delete it it tells I don't have previleges on the XP machine but I have administrator privs on both sides.
Any ideas ?

First, make sure your administrator account on the Windows machine has a password. This is required to connect remotely.
Next, try connecting to your Windows machine by its name or IP address. On the Mac, select Connect To Server... from the Go menu and enter "smb://computername" or "smb://IPaddress".

'devices and printers' (Win 7) not working on X201i

I am running Win7 64 bits. When I try to go into control panel and access 'devices and printers' everything gets stuck in a loop and I never even get to the stage where the next window is displayed.
I read somewhere that it had to do with Bluetooth services not being enabled. I changed that. It worked once, but now I am back to the non working stage.
Any ideas about how to fix this?

IChat video & audio chat with AIM user not working

Hi all,
I have a mobileme account. A friend has got a new Macbook with 10.5.5 and signed up for an AIM account. We've tried to do video chat (over the internet) with iChat 4 and cannot establish a session in either direction. It gets to the "Starting video chat..." part and then fails, telling us "did not recevie a response from ..."
Audio chat doesn't work for us either.
Video & audio chat works fine locally via Bonjour for us. It's just over the internet (through a NAT router if that matters) that multimedia chat does not function.
Any ideas?

Yes, I have set the streaming speed to 500 on both mine and her end to no avail. I've also tried port 443, and we also tried using a jabber server (with google talk accounts). I didn't expect the jabber thing to work, as it's free and video/audio/screen sharing use non-trivial bandwidth.
I have not been able to do video, audio, or screen sharing with her at all. But I know these features work, as I have used them on my local wireless network via bonjour.
Only bonjour...
Do both of us have to be paying customers of MobileMe to get video chat over the internet? It seems like only one should suffice...

How do I get my songs to another device when the links are not working?

I am having an issue with songs that I have purchased. They will play on my phone but when they are in a playlist they will not play and I cannot put them on another device. I have downloaded them to the computer from the iTunes store but same issue.

When you play a song, tap the album art to bring up more options. The repeat button is the one furthest to the left (looks like two arrows in an oval). Tap it until it is not coloured anymore.

Error 23, 28, 29, 40, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1611: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article and also attempt to restore while connected with a known-good 30-pin Dock Connector cable, computer, and network to isolate this issue to the device. If the MAC address is missing or the IMEI is the default value (00 499901 064000 0), this can also confirm a hardware issue.

IChat AV 3.0.1 File Transfer --- Not Working!!! Please HELP!

I am able to initiate a video/audio conference and text my friends ok, and i can receive file transfers from tehm, but i cannot send them files. i have a linksys befsr41 v.3 router with the latest firmware upgrade. please help me!!!

Both ends of the connection must be working properly for iChat AV to work correctly.

I see that your system info changed between your initial post and your msg # 2.
(0) You and your iChat AV buddies who use iChat AV 2.1 may find the relevant suggestions in Using iSight with iChat AV helpful in trouble shooting this issue with you (regardless of whether any of you use iSight.)
(1) If you actually changed systems, is the problem the same with both Macs?
(2) If the problem is the same with both Macs, are you at a different location?
(3) If you have ever been able to make successful transfers, what has changed since it worked?
(4) If you cannot get it going, please provide the relevant information requested in the When do I Post a New iChat Topic ? FAQ. (20 items starting about half-way down the page)
We will be happy to try to give more definitive answers based on your specifics.
