IChat saying my AOL IM login ID/password incorrect, but it isn't? Utterly confused!!

I just tried to set up an iChat account and I set up an AOL account and I got my address ([email protected]). Then when I go onto iChat, and try to change my status to online, it asks me basically to log in. Then I enter my information correctly and it comes up with a message saying "iChat can't log in to AOL Instant Messenger because your login ID or password is incorrect." (Just to clarify, I used my '[email protected]' for my Login ID and my password that I set up with it.) I know for a fact this information is indeed incorrect and I really don't know what to do.
I looked around on some other discussions and some said your password must be less than 16 characters, which mine is, but it was also form a few years back. I just got this brand new MacBook Pro(I guess it's the most up-to-date software and system things...I don't know how to find out that) a few days ago and I don't really understand all the complicated 'lingo', if you will. If I need to give any more details, please ask because I want this fixed so I can iChat with my friends. Thank you!

A Googlemail name can be used in iChat but not to link to AIM buddies or as a valid AIM name just because it is also used for an Apple ID as well.
You will have to enter it in the Accounts section of the Preferences.
The Googlemail ID need you to have Enabled the Talk option on your Goolge account Settings.

Updating Snow Leopard won't help. You need to Upgrade OS X to Lion or higher if your system will support it. First check to see if your system meets the system requirements to upgrade.

you need to open the keychain access located in your utilities folder in the applications and once in the keychain on the left side click on the words system at the top and in the lower section click on passwords
next look in the striped area for any passwords that say airport network password next to kind and highlight those and hit delete on the keyboard to remove them from the keychain.
once you remove all of these airport passwords, quit the keychain
turn wifi off then back on, select your wifi network from the list and enter the password telling it to save to keychain this should resolve your issue!

Unable to connect to the MKS: Login (username / password) incorrect

Hello everyone, my first post.
Several months I've been trying to solve a problem with VMWare Server Remote Console 2.0
When I try to open the remote console of any machine I have I get the following error:
Unable to connect to the MKS: Login (username / password) incorrect
Not to do and not understand why. If anyone can help I would appreciate that.

There's a quick fix here.
Just a guess, but I think it has something to do with computers not being on a domain. I'm logged into my local Windows 7 system using the same username/password as my domain user, and I connect to network resources using that. To spite the fact that my computer is not on the doman, I can see in the VMWare status window that it's using DOMAIN\user instead of just the user to start the VM. Perhaps when the VMWare services auto-start the domain hasn't been authenticated to yet, hence the account is not valid.

Today I stumbled upon an issue in VMWare Server 2.0 problem today on a client’s server. I could log into the web administration console of VMWare Server, and I could manage the VMs from there without a problem.
The issue came when I tried to open the console window on one of the VMs from within the VMWare admin console. The Console window opened, but after a few moments I saw: “Unable to connect to the MKS: Login (username/password) incorrect”
I tried creating a desktop shortcut for the VM (from the VM’s summary pane), but still ran into the same problem.
Shortly after unsuccessfully googling the error, I discovered the solution myself. I simply restarted the following Services:
– VMWare Authorization Service
– VMWare Server Web Access
(In the process it restarts another one or two services, but does not interrupt any active VMs).
After the service restart, the VM console windows opened without any problems.

You need to explain a little better what is wrong here. Sounds like maybe a broken screen and you are trying to do something with the phone?

Do you have an Exchange account through your place of employment? Quite often the administrator or IT person will set up passcodes for devices that have employer exchange email accounts on them. If your account is work related, check with your employer for the code.

I recently upgraded to IOS 5, as well as connected to a cable network instead of dsl, updated iTunes and sync'd my iPad to my Windows XL and got on board with iCloud. Now I keep getting a message that says, " cannot get mail, user ID or password incorrect" with options of choosing OK or going to settings. If I choose the settings, it brings me to account info with my email address and password ( dots) Then if I erase the password and put it back in, it says it's incorrect and if I save it, I may not receive or send mail. I tried deleting the account and re-entering it again, but that didn't work. I tried resetting my iPad by holding both the on and the off switch down until the apple appears...still no help. I had a problem when I knew my password for sure but was unable to login locally to router. It was kept saying that passowrd is incorrect, try again. I tried to log using http and Google Chrome, since it was working fine when I initially setup it, year ago. I thought my router was hacked so I did hardware reset but this didn't help, I was still unable to log with "admin" password.
The root cause of problem is a browser, when I get FireFox, everything started to work fine again. I was able to get into Admin web-console and re-setup router again. Just for records -- MSIE is also not supported browser.
I have resolved issue, and writing this just because this might be useful for someone else.

PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations
Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on the PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired LAN PC while testing.
Disable any downloading client software managers, i.e. Torrents or similar.
PC Web Browser Configurations
MSIE is supported on this router. If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar

I am having the same issue, I woke up this morning to check my email, it said my email and password were incorrect so right away I thought my email got hacked into. Right away I reset my password and deleted the account, did a soft reset on my phone and then tried to add the account again, yet I was told the same thing. I then went on to my iPad and check my aol mail on there and it gave me the same error message! I called aol and it's not a problem with them because I am still able to log into my aol account using the web browser and log into aim.
Someone please help??????
