Icloud 2.1.1 for Windows, error

I have been trying to install icloud Control Panel 2.1.1 for Windows. OS is W7, x64, Pro.
This is the error message I keep getting:
An error occurred during installation of assembley 'policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.CRT, type="win32-plicy",version="8.0.50727.6195",publickeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",p rocessor architecture="amd64." Please refer to Help and Support.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

TS3074 iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes in Windows 8

I have Windows 8 (64bit). I have uninstalled iTunes and re-installed iTunes several times as it has constantly instructed me to do. It says that iTunes has been sucessfully installed; however, when I try to open iTunes, I keep getting the message "iTunes for Windows: Error 7 (windows error 127)".

Here is what it said....But every time I reinstall iTunes it says it was successful. I'm using Windows 8 (64 bit).

ITunes for Windows: Error -9812 when accessing the iTunes Store

So here is the situation. When I try to access our iTunes U site from the public link it works great, when I go thru the link that has me authenticicate it works on macs but on PC's I get the error message "iTunes for Windows: Error -9812 when accessing the iTunes Store" it's happening all thru our campus with PC users. Any ideas?????

We're having similar connection issues, and the error log on our web server says something about a certificate error. I noted that last year on this date there were messages related to certificates. Is it possible they are updated every Dec 2, and we should count on some down time?

Look in your Pictures folder and delete the iPhone Photo Cache.

Remove old Apple programs, and use Explorer web-browser. (Firefox or Chrome will not do)

Have you installed 4.2 first? The 4.2.x releases require a working installation of 4.2 to build upon.

Itunes for windows error 1714

Need help trying to upgrade itunes for windows, i get to a certain point and the following error comes up "ERROR 1714: THE OLD VERSION OF ITUNES CANNOT BE REMOVED CONTACT YOUR TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP" i click ok and then another error comes up "ERROR 1603 FATAL ERROR" can anybody help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the solution by searching the archives for "1714".

Install this, then run it and remove the old copy of iTunes or QuickTime. Works for me!

I discovered this about Bonjour for Windows. I added the exception to my Trend Micro firewall and bingo, sound from the stereo again.
From the Apple website... read there and then add the exception for Bonjour incoming UDP port 5353 (or any).

Ditto. Sad that you have to go through all this mess (see other posts to revert to iTunes 7.7)...just because Apple's techs don't wish to push out a fix (and because MAC users aren't really effected). Of course us Windows users account for 80% or more of iTunes sales...so you'd think they like to fix this for their main customers. Btw, this effects Apple TV connectivity (being able to move paid movies, etc over from iTunes on computer). On my Vista64 computer the only way to fix this is the use the "repair" option in Program install/uninstall and reboot. Of course, it stops working again after a day or so...so, you have to do this again. Wish SOMEONE could figure out the real reason for this bug...and explain it to Vista/xp owners. Thanks!

Latest version of Itunes for Windows Error 45075 Missing Componet

I have had no problem with my IPad or Itunes for a year. Till today. I was moving Itunes from internal C drive to D. Freeing up space. It was suggested that I just uninstall and reinstall in new drive with clean copy from Itunes direct. So each time I open the program now it says please repair or reinstall Itunes because its missing some key componet. Doesnt say what its missing. Just Error 45075. Ive reinstalled 4x now. Same error. I have macafee virus software. Not sure if thats the issue. Windows 7. It wouldnt bother me to much but I cant sync my ipad now. Thats pretty annoying. Please advise. I need help.

If you still haven't succeeded with this one I think I have. It seems you need to uninstall ALL Apple components so I uninstalled 5 in all from the Program list. Then a completely new install worked for me.

ITunes for Windows - Error when burning 4651

A friend of mine is having a problem with iTunes. Everytime he tries to burn a CD, iTunes gives an error - error 4651. Anyone know what that means. I am pretty sure he is running XP.
I told him to upgrade iTunes and see if that helps. He had iTunes 7.0 - should 7.2 fix the problem?

Are there previous versions of icloud control panel available for Windows Vista x64?

I have had icloud 2.1.3 running on my pc for years (up to tonight). I uninstalled it from my computer in hopes to update the software. Unfortunately, I learned that the latest version of the icloud control panel is only compatible with Windows 7/8. I contacted Apple support to re-download the software and I'm being told that there's no way to obtain a previous version. ***? Does apple honestly leave consumers of their products high and dry like that? Wow!
Does anyone know of a trustworthy source to re-download previous versions of icloud control panel that are compatible with Windows Vista x64?

I does work, I also had it on my PC/Vista, but had to reformat and now I cannot find it....sheesh

iCloud hosts the calendars on its server and your various computers read them from there. The protocol for doing this is called CalDAV.
Outlook for Mac has not been equipped with the programming for CalDAV and therefore cannot access iCloud calendars. Outlook for Windows evidently has and can.
This is something only Microsoft can rectify and you could send them feedback suggesting they do this with all convenient speed.
Outlook on a Mac can only access calendars living under 'On My Mac' and these cannot sync with iCloud. iCal can sync with iCloud provided you have 1-.7.2 or higher.

Cannot (re-)install itunes (64) for windows 8. get error 7 (Windows error 193)

I've used itunes for itunes for quite some time before making some hardware change (cpu and motherboard). The OS, like before, is Windows 8. But now each time that I try it seems to install up to and including the final "finish" in the process. After that it gives me the above msg suggestint that I rinstall. After a START of the computer there are complains about "apple" routines that cause problems.
I hope that there is an itunes user who n help.
