Icloud account information not secure?
When I go to the settings on my iphone, then icloud, and tap on my user name and then contact information, my primary address (street address) is shown and I don't have the option to delete it. A friend just had their phone stolen, and this information was readily available to the thief. Is there a way to hide that information or delete it all together?

The pop up told me it was going to delete my contact and other information from my mac, so I was hesitant to do that. Well I did as you directed and I was able to sign in with my new apple id and I did not lose the information the pop up threatened I was going to. So again thank you. It is the little things that make a big difference sometimes.

How can I change my icloud account information on my iphone 4S? When I did the latest update my icloud account reverted to the original ID I had when setting up my account. How can I change my apple ID when I am in setting > iCloud > account > Apple ID? Again my ID went to original ID and I do not know how to update it to my new one.
Thanks!If you want to move to a new, separate iCloud account you have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Deleting the account will only delete it from your phone, not from iCloud. This will not effect other devices still using the account. Also, you can continue to share your ID for the iTunes and App stores even though you will have a different ID for iCloud. They do not need to be the same.
To begin, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, if you have any data in either iCloud account that you no longer want (such as someone else's contacts) you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it. -

popup 'photo stream' has appeared & not allowing it to open & blocked my ipad mini. it says photos for iCloud account can not be assessed. review your account information in settings. IGNORE & SETTINGS are not working
Try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

How do I edit the iCloud account information on my new iPhone 4? I changed in on the iCloud web site, but it still has the old email address on the phone. The address is not able to change...am I missing something?
Also, the first time I started the phone, I put my email address instead of my son's address, now when I try to set up iMessage, it asks for my password associated with my address and not my son's address.Yes...I tried that and It did work...Thank you.
Now the other item...iMessage still have my email address and I want my son's address. I have the iCloud registered with his address, I have not found where I can edit that. -
I recently updated my Apple ID with a new email address. Now my iCloud account does not match my Apple ID.
On my iphone, when I press Settings> iCloud> Account> iCoud Account Information: Apple ID
The Apple ID is shown as my old email address, and there is no option to press this and change the sign in information. Therefore, I cannot backup my iphone.
I tried to delete iCloud, but the warning said that everything would be deleted from my iphone if I deleted iCloud. I obviously want what is on my iphone or I wouldn't care about iCloud at all. How do I update my Apple ID on my iphone for iCloud without losing anything on my iphone, including the extra storage that I paid for?If the Account name is wrong in Settings>iCloud you'll have to scroll to the botom and tap Delete Account, then sign back in using the correct ID.

I have changed my Apple ID but my old ID is still showing up under iCloud account information on my cell phone. How does this get changed?
Go to appleid.apple.com. Change your primary email address/Apple ID back to the old email that you do not have access to. Then, on your device, go to Settings > iCloud and delete account. Make sure to sign out of iTunes/App store as well. Once you have removed the old Apple ID from your phone, go back toappleid.apple.com and change the primary email address/Apple ID to the new email. Just because you no longer have access to an email account does not mean you have to change your Apple ID.

My icloud account does not sync with my iphone 4S. My contacts do not turn up on icloud and I do have "contacts" turned on in my phone.
Unchecking them won't help, it will only hide them from view. The issue you're running into is that iCloud doesn't sync contacts from non-iCloud accounts like your exchange and Yahoo accounts. In order to sync these with iCloud, you would need to copy them to the iCloud account and then disable contact syncing with these other accounts. (If you didn't disable contacts syncing with these accounts, you would see duplicates of these contacts on your phone -- one from the external account, and one from iCloud.) If you want to do this, do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup. (If you have more than 500 contacts to transfer from your other accounts you will need the “Pro” version.) Use the app to back up the remaining contacts on your phone (from the other accounts) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Confirm that you have received the email before proceeding to step 3.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section), and confirm that this is set to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars…tap your Yahoo and your exchange account and turn off contacts syncing with these accounts. This will remove the contacts from these accounts from your phone.
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from these accounts back to your phone, and to iCloud. All your contacts should now be in iCloud and be visible on icloud.com. -

Roger provided you with the steps to get your new ID signed onto iCloud on your Mac. If you have any devices that still have that old iCloud ID still signed on, you will have to do the following for those:
1. Go to Manage your Apple ID and sign in with your current ID and password, then change your Apple ID back to the old ID (the one that is still showing on iCloud). This is temporary so, do NOT verify the ID, do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
2. Go to Settings>iCloud and sroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Delete Account. Use your current Apple ID passoword when asked. Follow the prompts to complete the deletion of the iCloud account
3. Go back to Manage your Apple ID and change your ID back to your new ID (you may have to verify it again)
4. Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with your new Apple ID. Everything will be pushed back to your device from your iCloud account - it make take a few minutes

Later, i added another phone on my ATT account for my mother, but made an Apple iCloud Account in her name. Now, to use the find my iphone feature, i need to change her iCloud account user name to be the same as mine. How do I change that?
You dont need to change the iCloud account to use that feature, when you use find my iPhone all you would need to do is sign into her iCloud account to locate her iPhone.
If you want to change the account used on the iPhone for iCloud then go to settings>icloud and select the option at th bottom that says "delete account" then select "keep on my iphone". After that you then sign in with your iCloud account. -
My icloud account is not verifying it says check my mail witch I have done and I get a message say your iPhone for has been used to set up and Icloud account but still can not use the icloud can anybody help me.
Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email.
